If men like that pinned her with two of them, an average woman would not even be able to move a single finger.

In fact the female commentator tried desperately to resist by shaking her shoulders, but that movement resembled trembling and lacked strength.

Her eyes were wide with fear, and every time a rough breath leaked, her thin nape trembled in small increments.

”It’s fine. Even if they remember your names, it doesn’t matter.”

Rigel floated a composed smile.

But those eyes were cold, carrying a mercilessness as if crushing an insect.

”The meaning of that?”

”So they can’t accuse us… I’ll thoroughly rape her and break her heart.”

Rigel’s voice had a low quality as if ringing from the bottom of a deep well.

At the same time as those words he slowly reached a hand toward the female commentator’s face.

Fingers packed with mana touched her brow.

The next instant.

”!?”

The female commentator’s body jumped small, and her eyes opened wide.

The light was lost from those pupils, and with her eyes rolled back she lost her strength like a puppet with its strings cut.

Rigel looked down without emotion at the figure collapsing from the knees.

Then he slowly loosened only the corner of his mouth.

”Alright! With this the prep is done.”

”As always, a nasty ability.”

Jin smiled bitterly, but a little awe peeked from the depths of his eyes.

At the end of the gaze the female commentator had fallen on the ground, limbs dangling.

Her chest rose and fell faintly, but there was not a speck of a sign of consciousness.

”Ability? It’s just mana release.”

”Well, but. You’re amazing after all, Rigel. Gonna sleep-rape her like this?”

”That’s an option too, but this time it’s different.”

Rigel denied Jin’s light talk and lifted the corner of his lips.

That smile was a predator’s before prey.

”I’ve prepared a magic tool at my mansion. Let’s have a three-man contest!”

An innocent voice that did not fit the place rang.

The air swayed slightly.

”Hoh… Interesting.”

Mars drew his chin in slightly and answered in a quiet tone.

His back straightened naturally, concentrated like a warrior just before readying a sword.

In the depths of his eyes fighting spirit that made blood boil was lit.

”Nice! And if I win, you’ll let me do the actual rape too, right?”

A light tone returned to Jin’s voice, but his eyes were serious.

It was not a mere joke. One could see he truly wanted that result.

”Yeah, fine. If you beat me.”

Rigel lifted the corner of his mouth.

To him like that, Jin and Mars returned a warlike smile.

”—Hah!? Th-this is…?”

Several tens of minutes later.

In a space wrapped in silence, only the female commentator’s voice rang sharply.

The instant she woke, she was assailed by a sensation as if heavy fog remained in her brain.

Her vision was still hazy, and lightless darkness dominated her surroundings.

The air carried moisture and made one feel an unpleasantness that clung to the skin.

While feeling her body heat being slowly stolen, she tried to slowly raise herself.

But she would not move.

Neither hands nor feet would move as she wished.

”Eh…? W-why…!”

Agitation seeped into the voice.

Her heart began beating like an alarm bell all at once, and cold sweat ran down her back and fell.

She desperately held back the emotion called fear that welled up to her throat.

Eventually her vision became clear and she grasped her own situation.

A delivery table.

She was bound hand and foot to a chair of a shape close to that.

The restraints were real.

There was a certain abnormality there that could not be dismissed as play or a joke.

”Yo, looks like you woke up.”

A low male voice containing composure.

The instant she heard it, tension raced through her whole body.

”! You’re…!”

The instant she visually confirmed the man who appeared from the dark, Rigel, anger and wariness welled up at the same time.

But her body did not move an inch.

The will that reflexively tried to ready herself was miserably held down by the restraints.

”Useless, useless.”

Rigel warped his mouth and laughed, looking thoroughly amused.

The tone was light as if a child were toying with an insect.

What seeped into the smile was blatant contempt and sadism.

From that gaze alone one could understand he did not see her as an equal existence.

”…What do you intend to do with me? I said it earlier too, contestants contacting the operations side is against the rules. Disqualification from the Academy Martial Arts Tournament. In the worst case, the possibility of expulsion from the Royal Academy—”

”So?”

Rigel shrugged and answered as if he truly did not care.

Then he snorted.

”Rules have nothing to do with me. There’s no way a disposition would fall on me just for ’playing’ with a mere commentator.”

”Wha…!? Wh-where does that confidence come from…!?”

”You were commentating near the stage, yet you didn’t hear anything. Didn’t your observation of the contestants grow sloppy because you leaned on your own commentary? Disqualified as a commentator.”

A spiteful irony mixed into Rigel’s voice.

That single line gouged her chest as if striking a bull’s-eye.

”Kuh…!”

This female commentator had no aptitude for combat.

That was a fact she herself understood best.

Even as commentary, it was not accurately discerning the contestants’ movements and conveying them, but only spinning words matching the atmosphere.

A showy voice and cleverness with words were her only weapons.

But that limit was being thrust at her right now.

She ground her teeth in frustration.

Seeing that state, Rigel deepened his mockery further.

”I’ll tell you. I’m the legitimate son of the Gousel marquis house and the hero of the Valstine campaign. His Majesty Wistaria thinks well of me, and after lightly studying at the Royal Academy the seat of frontier count is promised. Rigel von Gousel. That’s my name.”

That naming was not a display, but a pronouncement.

Pressure to make her understand how much of an existence he was and steal the meaning of resistance.

A heavy intimidation further stagnated the air of the dark.
