The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 751: Chapter 294 Minor Matter_2

The most glorious years saw annual earnings of one to two million as if it were nothing.

Han Yanqian didn’t drive a BMW 525 back in the day; he was driving a Porsche Cayenne.

Who knew that later, something would suddenly go wrong on Jiang Yunfei’s end, causing their factory’s clients to drop off significantly? On top of that, there was a sudden natural disaster. The repair shop not only stopped making money but also started incurring losses.

The funniest thing was that Jiang Yunfei even came to their family to borrow money.

Of course, Han Yanqian’s parents didn’t lend him any money. After Jiang Yunfei was caught, the old couple secretly felt fortunate that they were smart enough to see there might be trouble brewing on Jiang Yunfei’s end.

But even though they didn’t lend out the money, they couldn’t stop the repair shop from losing money. Eventually, Han Yanqian’s father became unwell and had to hand over the repair shop to him to manage.

What did Han Yanqian know about management, being a thirty-year-old ”rich kid” who had spent every day partying and doing nothing substantial?

But, to be fair, even if Han Yanqian didn’t know how to run a repair shop properly, he understood one thing... in Huaxia, no matter what business you’re in, you can’t avoid the two words ”human connections.”

Once you get the hang of social graces, business will flow smoothly.

So, Han Yanqian didn’t rush to build the factory back up. Instead, he transferred the remaining hundreds of thousands from the account to his personal account. He continued indulging outside, just targeting different people—from past shady friends to those with some status in the insurance business or related departments.

This offbeat approach actually brought in quite a bit of business for the repair shop.

Though it couldn’t reach its past peak, it reliably brought in nearly a hundred thousand in pure profit each month, making Han Yanqian someone above middle class in Ming City.

Yet, as years passed, Han Yanqian became unsatisfied again.

The monthly income seemed substantial, but it always felt tight. For instance, he once tried to offer a girl a deal to be his girlfriend for ten thousand a month, only to be rejected.

Damn, a girl from a vocational school dared to ask for twenty thousand a month, who was she kidding!

Though he wasn’t particularly good-looking, was he so bad that she found it difficult?

Three thousand for a night seemed overpriced to Han Yanqian. The girl wouldn’t agree to ten thousand a month, and so the deal fell through.

Going to nightclubs to pick up girls, there weren’t gullible ones left. To get a girl these days, you had to spend five to eight thousand a night, and Han Yanqian couldn’t bring himself to spend that money.

The massage parlors charged 588, but they all had older women with awful experiences.

His current life was somewhere between not quite there and not too far behind. The income was decent, but it was far from the life he desired.

In short, it was awkward.

To make this hard-earned money, on the bright and early Mid-Autumn Festival when families gathered, he was stuck at the factory because a client he couldn’t afford to neglect was coming in for car repairs. He had to be there.

Ding-dong!

His phone suddenly chirped. As Han Yanqian took a wrinkled pack of Zhonghua cigarettes and smoked one, he picked up his phone and was momentarily taken aback.

The message was from a girl with the nickname ”Sisi.” He somewhat remembered her as Jiang Mo’s former best friend, who had asked him about Jiang Mo when they ran into each other at a bar not long ago.

Recalling that ”cousin” who had blocked him, there was a moment of gloom mixed with resentment in Han Yanqian’s eyes.

He would never forget the first time he visited Jiang Yunfei’s home with his parents, and how he was stunned when he first saw this distant cousin.

Back then, Jiang Mo was just in middle school but already showed the signs of a beauty. By the time she was in high school, Han Yanqian’s inner restlessness reached its peak.

But he didn’t dare to express it, only venting his feelings through fantasies in private moments.

Until Jiang Mo’s family went bankrupt, Han Yanqian felt it was heaven-sent, a perfect opportunity. He started bombarding Jiang Mo with calls and messages, trying to take advantage when she was most vulnerable.

Han Yanqian thought he understood this cousin. Though beautiful, she was so protected by Jiang Yunfei that she was as naïve as a blank slate.

As long as he persistently clung on with some tricks, his chances of success were high.

Until the day when he didn’t receive a reply from Jiang Mo, and after figuring out her whereabouts, he went straight to the library to block her.

Jiang Mo was indeed innocent and didn’t know how to deal with his harassment. Just as he was about to get her into his car, at the crucial moment, his plan was foiled by a young man with a driver in an Alphard.

Later, when he heard Jiang Mo was chased out, he tried to contact her again, only to find himself blocked.

Only Han Yanqian knew the depths of his frustration.

He was so close to having that goddess-like cousin.

He dared not imagine how happy those days would be!

What happened to Jiang Mo later, Han Yanqian didn’t know, but he heard from another relative who had Jiang Mo’s WeChat that she seemed to be doing quite well... and that she had even helped pay off Jiang Yunfei’s debts.

Eight million!

How could Jiang Mo pay it on her own?

There was no doubt Jiang Mo had found a real wealthy backer.
