The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 746: Chapter 292: Proposal, Heartbeat, Gift Pack_2

... What if Jiang Qingkui gets embarrassed and angry and stops sending them in the future?

Of course, that’s not the most important reason. Mainly, Zhou Wang felt that, as the boss, he needed to show some understanding towards his employees. If someone is under so much pressure, shouldn’t you provide a channel for them to release it?

So Zhou Wang seriously said...

”Qingkui, don’t be shy. Come to me with anything you need!”

Besides these two big projects, Jiang Qingkui had a lot more to worry about. For example, the operation of the Dianwang Club, the performance of the newly established ”Wangzhou Travel Department,” the recent acquisition of the three-in-one Li City Hall, and asset management at Lishui Yunquan Hotel, among others...

Thinking about all this made Zhou Wang feel that Jiang Qingkui’s burden was indeed too heavy.

”Why don’t you hire a couple of assistants for yourself?”

Zhou Wang thought for a moment and suggested.

Hearing this, Jiang Qingkui was taken aback for a second, then shook her head, ”No need, I can still manage...”

”This isn’t a discussion, it’s an order.”

But Zhou Wang interrupted her casually, ”And don’t think that what’s happening now is all. If nothing unexpected happens, soon I might need to assign you to serve as a board member of a very large conglomerate. Then you’ll understand the meaning of being pulled in all directions...”

”A very large conglomerate?”

Jiang Qingkui, whose curiosity was piqued by Zhou Wang’s words, blinked her bright, dark eyes, ”How big is it?”

Zhou Wang knew of Jiang Qingkui’s ambition. Previously, she had been somewhat resentful that he didn’t give her the vice president position at Wuyou Media. Now, seeing Jiang Qingkui’s slightly dismissive expression, Zhou Wang just smiled.

”You’ll find out then.”

Jiang Qingkui didn’t press further into Zhou Wang’s mysterious tease. She only glanced to the side at Zhou Wang’s hand, which had somehow landed on her shoulder, feeling a bit helpless...

Zhou Wang always found a chance to take a small advantage of her, and she just couldn’t seem to resist.

”Secretary, assistant, even a driver, you can start considering recruiting them. Build a team for yourself, which would free you up. Otherwise, as a secretary, it’s quite awkward for me as the boss to rarely see you!”

Zhou Wang said this while sitting down next to Jiang Qingkui, naturally taking her slightly cool and delicate hand.

Jiang Qingkui pursed her lips, wanting to stop him, but sensed that there was concern behind his well-founded words. For a moment, she couldn’t bring herself to say anything else and just gently turned her head, pretending not to notice him rubbing her hand.

”...Hmm, I’ll think about it.”

The room went quiet for a moment. Just as Jiang Qingkui was starting to find Zhou Wang’s hand starting to wander too much and could barely tolerate it, Zhou Wang spoke up seriously again:

”Didn’t you say that you had something you wanted to report to me privately, and it wasn’t about these work matters?”

At this, Jiang Qingkui hesitated a bit, suddenly pulling her hand out of Zhou Wang’s grasp, then turned to face him directly.

”Mr. Zhou, I’ve actually been wanting to propose this to you for a while now. I hope you believe that I’m speaking from your perspective for your best interest...”

”What could be so formal?”

Zhou Wang was a little surprised, as it was the first time he saw Jiang Qingkui in such a demeanor.

”I also spoke to Wenxi; she agrees with me. That is... Boss, don’t you think you could tidy up your private life a bit? Of course, I mean financially.”

”What do you mean?”

Zhou Wang furrowed his brow, not just because Jiang Qingkui suddenly interfered with his ”private life,” but also because, with her intelligence, she should know that this topic is a bit sensitive.

”Mr. Zhou, your current monthly expenses related to female acquaintances are disproportionately high. Not only that, for instance with your little girlfriend Su Yajing, there are also some unclear ownership issues involving certain assets...”

”Also, for example, today, Wenxi said you spent several million at once, yet what you acquired wasn’t a personal asset. Such profligate expenditures have been happening quite frequently over the past couple of months. Or, let me put it bluntly... You seem to easily get carried away when it comes to women.”

Avoiding Zhou Wang’s eyes a bit, Jiang Qingkui expressed her thoughts, ”Of course, I have no right to interfere with your love life, but as your secretary, it is my duty to give you reasonable advice to better manage your assets, ensuring a healthy balance of income and expenditure...”

Zhou Wang was somewhat taken aback. He never expected that the issue Jiang Qingkui so solemnly wished to discuss with him would be this.

Seeing Zhou Wang remain silent, Jiang Qingkui, having let go of her restraint, continued speaking more fluently.

”Given your personality, it’s predictable that there will only be more women in close relationships around you. If you keep up your current spending habits, they... might become your greatest burden in the future, and human nature is unpredictable and uncontrollable, so you should always guard against unforeseen circumstances.”

Zhou Wang was speechless for a moment.

What did she mean by ”only be more”? There weren’t many now, were there? I mean, there’s the senior, Su Yajing, Shen Yutong, Shen Yurou, Xu Wenqian, and if you add in some of the reserves like Hua Suisui, alphabet sister, you...

Uh, tallying it up like this, maybe it is a bit much.
