The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 727: Chapter 286 ”The Big Shots”_3

At that time, Zhou Wang’s rose gold business card, along with the ”two billion on-site loan” magic trick, left a deep impression on him. Moreover, since they were from the same hometown, there was a natural closeness between them. Therefore, he considered Zhou Wang someone worth befriending.

However, he was a bit puzzled about Zhou Wang’s purpose in being here. If Zhou was here to celebrate as well, they should have contacted him. Furthermore, Zhou seemed to be taking the employee’s passage...

”An acquaintance?”

Cao Meijuan and the others were confused, but Liao Jianli obviously couldn’t explain it to them. He was ready to greet Zhou Wang and inquire about the situation when his assistant hurried over from the direction of the elevator.

The assistant whispered something in Liao Jianli’s ear, and Liao immediately turned his head with joy, ”Really?”

”Yes, the car is almost at the parking lot. We just got a call...”

”Then I’ll go down to meet them personally.”

Liao Jianli’s expression became solemn. He couldn’t bother with greeting Zhou Wang anymore and was about to move forward.

”Mr. Liao, who has arrived?”

Nearby, Cao Meijuan and Wang Yaolong noticed from Liao Jianli’s reaction that a very important figure was about to arrive, and they couldn’t help but be curious.

For someone to have Liao Jianli go to the parking lot to greet them, it was easy to imagine their status in his mind.

In the past, the deputy director of Huaxia TV, ByteDance board members, and others would be considered ”big figures” wherever they went, but even they did not cause Liao to act in this manner.

Liao Jianli hesitated for a moment, then thought that since the other party chose to appear, they might not mind. So he said, ”Let’s go and greet them together, we can talk on the way.”

Cao Meijuan and Wang Yaolong were naturally eager and immediately called their sons to join them.

During the walk to the elevator, Liao Jianli pondered and then said, ”I wonder if any of you have heard of... Cloud Trust?”

Upon hearing these four words, Wang Yaolong was still frowning and trying to recall, but Cao Meijuan gasped after a brief moment of being stunned, ”Mr. Liao, you aren’t talking about the Cloud Trust behind the Yunshangyun Law Firm, are you?”

Wang Yaolong was taken aback and, confusedly said, ”Meijuan, are you talking about that Red Circle Law Firm Yunshangyun?”

”Yes, Mr. Wang should have heard, to some extent, about Yunshangyun Law Firm’s legendary development, right?”

Cao Meijuan couldn’t hide her excitement, ”In just four or five years, it grew from an unknown legal consulting firm to a top-tier law firm nationwide. I’ve heard their overseas business is equally strong. The level of funding and connections needed behind this is unimaginable, which I believe I don’t need to elaborate on...”

”And I’d heard through some channels before that the foundation that supports Yunshangyun Law Firm’s growth is a foundation called Cloud Trust. Mr. Wang, it’s normal you aren’t familiar with this foundation. They seem to have little business domestically, but internationally, it’s an absolute giant...”

While Wang Yaolong concentrated on listening, Liao Jianli suddenly shook his head, interrupting Cao Meijuan.

”Ms. Cao, you’re mistaken about that.”

”Hmm?”

”Cloud Trust is indeed involved in a lot of investments domestically, just that many are not known to outsiders. I can’t disclose much, but I can tell you this... You were always curious about how I survived the financial crisis a few years ago. I think you should have your answer now.”

Liao Jianli pondered, then smiled and revealed the statement.

Though he didn’t elaborate, it was evidently enough.

Wang Yaolong and Cao Meijuan’s faces showed a trace of shock because, knowing Liao Jianli for quite some time, they understood the kind of operational crisis Qiangsheng Real Estate had encountered...

At the time, they even thought that Liao Jianli would never make a comeback.

Yet, the outcome was that Liao Jianli not only overcame the crisis but also successfully acquired another well-known real estate firm in Beidou, jumping from the top hundred to the top ten in ranks.

Could it be that this had something to do with the mysterious ”Cloud Trust” foundation?

Following behind, Qu Jie and Wang Feiyu were awed by something they didn’t fully understand. However, it didn’t stop them from being enthusiastic about hearing these secrets, which made them feel the ”superiority of the class”...

While their peers were still struggling with life’s challenges, they already had access to such high-end social circles. Even if they were just on the periphery, it was enough to boast about at their next gathering with friends.

Soon, the group arrived at the underground parking lot. After a brief wait, a sleek black Mercedes Maybach S680 slowly drove up.

Once the vehicle stopped, not waiting for the driver nor the man resembling a bodyguard in the front seat to move, Liao Jianli had already stepped forward to personally open the back door. Under the eager gaze of Cao Meijuan and others, a stern-faced man, approximately in his thirties or forties, stepped out from the back seat.

”Mr. Liao, long time no see.”

Upon seeing Liao Jianli, the man showed a faint smile and shook hands with him.

”Mr. Wang, it has been a while. I wanted to visit you last month, but your secretary said you were out of the country at the time...”

Facing this man, Liao Jianli also showed unprecedented humility, chuckling as he spoke.

After a brief exchange, Liao Jianli turned around and introduced the man to everyone, ”Mr. Wang, these two are our business partners at Qiangsheng Real Estate, Ms. Cao Meijuan and Mr. Wang Yaolong, and their progeny...”

After Cao Meijuan and the others greeted him with smiles, Liao Jianli solemnly introduced the man beside him.

”Ms. Cao, Mr. Wang, this is Mr. Wang Ruixi, Chairman of the Cloud Trust Huaxia Foundation, CEO of Cloud Trust Hong Kong Island Investment Group, and Executive Director of Yunshangyun Law Firm Group...”
