Chapter 211: Chapter 139: Who Doesn’t Get Excited When the Money is Right? _2

“Back then, many guests from other provinces came because of its reputation, and it became a signature place in Ming City…”

“Of course, those were the old days. After a few years of quiet, now the karaoke places in different areas are pretty much a mixed bag, and if you want to find something fun, you’ll definitely need a guide.”

Listening to Brother Mao’s reflections, Yang Hao grew a bit anxious.

“Manager Mao, you still haven’t told us what those vacuum and slippers mean?”

“That’s a popular way to categorize now. It’s hard to trace where it first started, some say Mountain City, others say Chang’an. But everyone likes to use this to attract customers these days.”

Brother Mao quickly explained, “Theme places are easy to understand. They have different thematic performances. For instance, there’s one called Sheng Tang that likes to do a palace theme. Guests get to wear dragon robes, and the actors wear all sorts of Hanfu outfits. The princess dresses like eunuchs…”

“Cosplay has spread to this industry?”

Yang Hao and Zhou Wang were both taken aback by what they heard.

“In today’s terms, that’s cosplay… Haha, some people love it. There are even ‘Nuns’!”

“Damn, that’s some crazy stuff!”

“A game place is also easy to understand. It’s a place focused on ‘playing games’. Managers set strict goals for the actors, like they must play a few games with guests or perform a certain number of shows because some guests come specifically for that, so you definitely have to meet their needs.”

Brother Mao continued, “As for what games to play, you can probably imagine…”

No, we couldn’t imagine.

Zhou Wang silently added in his mind, but perhaps they would get to see it soon, so he didn’t ask further.

“And then there’s the ‘vacuum place’. To explain simply, the actors don’t wear anything underneath… very convenient.”

Brother Mao gave them a “you know what I mean” look.

“Oh~”

Zhou Wang and Yang Hao nodded simultaneously; they instantly understood.

“As for the ‘slippers place’, it can also be described in one sentence. Everyone inside, both guests and actors, wears slippers…”

“Huh?” Yang Hao was puzzled, “What’s interesting about that?”

“Sorry, I missed a word ‘only’…”

“Only wearing slippers?” Yang Hao’s eyes widened, “Damn!”

Zhou Wang was also a bit taken aback; this was indeed beyond imagination.

“There aren’t many places like this. I know of only two in Ming City, and they don’t offer this gameplay every day…”

Brother Mao lightly cleared his throat and then laughed, “Alright, you two can discuss briefly, I’ll go buy some water.”

After the brief introduction, Brother Mao tactfully left space for the two to talk privately. Zhou Wang didn’t ask about the pricing and such, and he didn’t bring it up, knowing Zhou Wang wouldn’t care about it.

“So, Hao, which place do you want to go?”

Zhou Wang asked Yang Hao.

“Man, Brother Dog, right now I really want to say that only kids make choices… They all sound so tempting!”

“Actually, me too… but let’s forget about the slippers place. If it gets that direct, I might as well take you somewhere else.”

Zhou Wang rubbed his temples, vetoing the most thrilling option.

He thought about it, going to such places was about seeking a unique industry atmosphere. They couldn’t just consider one aspect since both were first-timers; they were mainly there to expand their horizons…

Besides, everyone being bare, how awkward would that be?

Zhou Wang mainly worried about not being able to let loose, while Yang Hao, the shameless one, certainly didn’t mind.

After Zhou Wang expressed his thoughts, Yang Hao agreed too.

“Brother Dog, let’s also forget about the theme place.”

Yang Hao calmly analyzed, “I feel such places are mostly gimmicks, and since we don’t choose the theme, it lacks a certain vibe and we don’t know the cost-effectiveness…”

“If you had been this serious in your studies back then, our class teacher Mr. Guo would have been very pleased.”

Zhou Wang clicked his tongue but nevertheless nodded in agreement with Yang Hao’s assessment.

“But I’m torn about the rest. I want both the ‘vacuum place’ and the ‘game place’!”

Yang Hao ignored Zhou Wang’s teasing and continued to ponder seriously.

“Then don’t be torn, let’s do both.”

Zhou Wang laughed. It wasn’t realistic to go for both, but to balance them a bit shouldn’t be a problem…

Though he’d never been, standing on the other side of the food chain, he knew very well that in the so-called service industry, no matter the gimmick, the ultimate goal was customer satisfaction.

And to add, I have money, not just any ordinary customer…

“Ah, is that possible?”

Yang Hao, still in the mindset of a regular person, scratched his head.

“Hao, when we start playing, don’t scratch your head…”

Zhou Wang reminded him before calling Brother Mao over.

When Brother Mao heard Zhou Wang’s suggestion, he briefly pondered and then snapped his fingers, “No problem, Mr. Zhou, consider it done!”

“Alright, let’s get going!”

Zhou Wang was a bit excited, feeling a trace of the excitement like the first time he went for a massage.

“Mr. Zhou, before we set off, I have one last question to confirm with you.”

As he accompanied the two to the car, Brother Mao laughed again.

Zhou Wang waved for Yang Hao to get in the car first, “Go ahead.”

“Here’s the thing, the place I’m taking you to is definitely the best I can arrange personally, and I can ensure you have a great time. Even if you’re not satisfied with the actors, I can outsource, but since I don’t know your expectations regarding the environment…”
