Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Amidst the sea of thunderclouds and lightning, countless bolts struck Lin Moyu. His Bone Armor crackled with electric energy, surrounding him in a brilliant blue glow. The lightning’s power was formidable, intensified by the dungeon’s upgrade to hell rank difficulty.

Judging by the Bone Armor’s reaction, Lin Moyu could roughly estimate the strength of the strikes.

He now fully grasped the characteristics of different classes. A level 50 Knight with Extreme Defense, supported by at least two Healers, might barely succeed in retrieving the bead from the sea of lightning.

Lin Moyu strode confidently to the heart of the sea of lightning and reached out to claim the bead.

The moment his fingers closed around it, the sea of lightning erupted into chaos.

Bolts of lightning surged from all directions, converging on the bead.

In an instant, the sea of lightning disappeared, leaving behind only the bead, glowing a radiant sky blue.

Within the bead, lightning danced—a mesmerizing display of raw power.

[Lightning Gem: permanently reduces lightning elemental damage by 50% and may grant a lightning-type skill.]

Lin Moyu exhaled deeply and activated the gem.

His body electrified, and bolts of lightning struck the ground around him, carving small craters in the ground.

He didn’t harbor high hopes for a new skill—50% lightning elemental immunity was already a tremendous gain.

A minute passed, yet the storm around him only intensified.

Then, the suddenly converged behind him, coalescing into a massive pair of wings.

[Acquired skill: Lightning Wings]

[Lightning Wings: grants the ability of flight for 1 minute. Cooldown: 10 minutes.]

As the lightning dissipated, Lin Moyu stared in astonishment.

He had gained an unexpected new skill—Lightning Wings. Even with a flight duration of just one minute, it was still flight. That was more than he had dared to hope for.

“I wonder how fast it can go!” Lin Moyu mused, then activated the skill.

With the crackle of electricity, a pair of wings over five meters long materialized on his back.

With an imperceptible flap pf the winds, Lin Moyu shot into the air.

The ground blurred beneath him, and the mark left by the collapsed valley shrank rapidly in his vision.

In an instant, he had traversed a thousand meters.

The speed was astonishing—almost like teleportation. Covering such a vast distance in less than a second left Lin Moyu exhilarated.

At this velocity, he felt invincible, able to engage or escape at will.

With a one-minute duration, he calculated that he could travel up to 80 kilometers.

The results of this venture had exceeded his expectations.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Lin Moyu soared through the air, reveling in the thrill of high-speed flight.

Thunderclouds rumbled, and lightning cracked within the dungeon, yet he weaved through them effortlessly.

The glowing Lightning Wings behind him illuminated the storm, creating a dazzling spectacle.

In that moment, Lin Moyu resembled a lightning god that descended upon the world—awe-inspiring and untouchable.

As the minute ended, the skill deactivated. Lin Moyu descended smoothly from the sky, and with a faint shimmer, the Lightning Wings vanished.

Oddly, his Comprehensive Amplification talent did not seem to affect Lightning Wings. The flight duration remained capped at one minute.

This anomaly puzzled him. Comprehensive Amplification typically enhanced most of his skills, with only a few exceptions.

For instance, the Enhance Troops skill derived from the Primordial Rune and the Blessing of Light skill granted by the Light Gem had resisted augmentation.

Yet the Poison Gem’s skill had been successfully amplified.

If skills tied to Elemental Gems or Primordial Runes were inherently resistant, why had the Poison Gem been enhanced?

The inconsistency left Lin Moyu baffled. After mulling it over, he decided to set the matter aside for now.

Ahead of him stretched a vast swamp—the Lightning Swamp.

It was a sprawling expanse of pools in varying sizes, interconnected by winding paths.

Lightning crackled incessantly within the murky waters, sending mud splattering into the air.

Both the pathways and the pools teemed with monsters.

[Thunder Swamp Lizard (hell rank elite monster)]

[Level: 47]

[Strength: 40,000]

[Agility: 20,000]

[Spirit: 40,000]

[Physique: 50,000]

[Skill: Lightning Strike]

[Traits: 50% Lightning Elemental Damage Reduction, 50% Physical Damage Reduction, Enhanced Speed]

At this time, the monsters were no longer purely lightning elemental monsters and had lost complete immunity to physical damage.

For Lin Moyu, this meant his Skeletal Berserk Warriors and Skeletal Marksmen could finally contribute.

The monsters’ attributes were not particularly high from Lin Moyu’s perspective.

His undead army charged into the Lightning Swamp.

The Skeletal Berserk Warriors led the assault, clearing the monsters along the path, while the Skeletal Great Mages and Skeletal Marksmen focused on eliminating creatures within the swamp itself.

The swamp stretched for about ten kilometers. Though Lin Moyu could have easily flown over it using his Lightning Wings, he deliberately chose not to. Skipping the swamp would mean missing valuable rewards.

From experience, Lin Moyu knew that apart from the Lightning Gem, the lightning elemental dungeon likely concealed two other treasures: a key and an awakening item linked to the Lightning God.

While the lightning elemental crystal shards could simply be obtained by defeating the boss, finding the key and the awakening item was a rarer opportunity.

The key and the awakening item could only be claimed once, and Lin Moyu wasn’t entirely sure he could secure both on his first attempt.

To maximize his chances, he had requested that no one else be allowed into the dungeon until he was done with it.

As Lin Moyu moved through the swamp, he remained vigilant, meticulously scanning his surroundings for any clues or anomalies.

Eventually, his undead army reached the swamp’s center.

Here, the swamp widened into an enormous pool of crackling lightning, dwarfing the other pools.

At its core, thunderclouds churned, and bolts of lightning struck repeatedly at a single point.

Peering through the storm, Lin Moyu spotted something unusual—a plant.

A closer look revealed that the lightning wasn’t striking the plant; instead, the plant itself was generating the lightning, forming the swirling thunderclouds.

The sight reminded Lin Moyu of the Fire God’s Flower from the Fire God’s Hall dungeon.

“Found it.” He murmured.

Without hesitation, Lin Moyu activated his Lightning Wings, whose cooldown had already passed.

The massive wings unfolded with a crackling glow, and in an instant, he surged through the air, heading straight for the enigmatic plant.

In the blink of an eye, Lin Moyu was above the plant and reached out to grab it.

A blinding flash of lightning erupted skyward as a massive, lightning-infused hand emerged from the lightning storm, slamming heavily toward him.

Lin Moyu had anticipated a guardian for the plant and wasn’t caught off guard.

The colossal hand struck with terrifying speed, but Lin Moyu’s Lightning Wings quivered slightly, propelling him into a swift dodge.

With a sharp change in direction, he bypassed the massive hand and seized the plant with one deft motion.

The plant crackled fiercely, emitting sharp snapping sounds as lightning coursed through it.

Lin Moyu’s Bone Armor glowed intensely, shielding him from the overwhelming power of the lightning.

Even with the Bone Armor’s protection, he could feel the raw, electrifying energy surging through the plant—enough to seriously injure most Knights.

Other adventurers would likely have hesitated, choosing to first defeat the guardian before attempting to claim the plant.

Lin Moyu, however, preferred to act decisively.

The moment he grasped the plant, the entire Lightning Swamp roared in response.

Holding the plant tightly, Lin Moyu soared skyward.

From below, countless bolts of lightning erupted, intermingled with flying mud, as they shot into the sky.

The massive hand surged upward from the swamp again, clawing at Lin Moyu with incredible speed.

Once again, his Lightning Wings flickered with a burst of motion, accelerating him beyond the hand’s reach.

The colossal hand missed a second time, but then the swamp convulsed violently, and a massive beast emerged.

The creature was a towering ape, over ten meters tall, with extraordinarily long limbs. Its arms extended grotesquely during its attacks, surpassing the length of its body.

Lin Moyu paused midair after dodging the second attack. The lightning surrounding the plant in his hand dissipated, revealing what now appeared to be an ordinary plant.

[Lightning Grass: can be used to awaken the Lightning God]

“Not bad. Now, all that’s left is the key.” Lin Moyu thought with a satisfied smile.

He carefully stored the Lightning Grass in his pocket and turned his attention to the guardian monster, and hen used Detection on the creature.

[Lightning Ape (hell rank leader)]

[Level: 48]

[Strength: 60,000]

[Agility: 40,000]

[Spirit: 10,000]

[Physique: 60,000]

[Skills: Lightning Wings, Thunder Palm]

[Traits: 50% Lightning Elemental Damage Reduction, 50% Physical Damage Reduction, Enhanced Speed, Health Enhanced]

“It also has the Lightning Wings skill.” Lin Moyu noted with mild surprise before quickly dismissing the thought.

The Lightning Ape’s total attributes amounted to 170,000—significant, but still far inferior to those of the Skeletal Berserk Warriors.

Yet Lin Moyu understood that in a one-on-one fight, a Skeletal Berserk Warrior would still lose to the Lightning Ape.

As a hell-rank leader, the Lightning Ape possessed immense health.

Its offense and defense fell short compared to the Skeletal Berserk Warriors, but its extraordinary health made it a formidable foe.

The Lightning Ape locked eyes with Lin Moyu, letting out a thunderous roar.

Amid the deafening sound, a pair of lightning-imbued wings erupted from its back.

In an instant, the Lightning Ape shot into the sky, appearing beside Lin Moyu in a flash.

With terrifying force, it slammed down a massive, lightning-charged palm.

Lin Moyu’s Lightning Wings quivered, allowing him to nimbly evade the strike.

Though his Bone Armor could nullify the damage, Lin Moyu had no desire to take such hits head-on.

Lin Moyu had transformed from a passive fighter into a much more agile and proactive combatant.

As Lin Moyu dodged, his undead army launched a counterattack.

The Skeletal Great Mages unleashed Elemental Explosion, and the Skeletal Marksmen fired volleys of arrows, bombarding the Lightning Ape relentlessly.

Lin Moyu pointed a finger at the beast and activated Deterioration Curse.

At the same time, a flickering flame ignited in his palm as he cast Soul Blaze.

The Lightning Ape let out a bloodcurdling shriek, writhing in agony as the full force of Soul Blaze overwhelmed it.

Its immense body plummeted from the sky, engulfed in searing pain.

Below, the Skeletal Berserk Warriors stood ready, their massive axes poised.

Before the Lightning Ape could even hit the ground, they leaped into the air, striking with resolute power.
