Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

The newcomer hovered in midair, surveying the scene below with a grim expression. His furious shout echoed rang out: “How dare you! Violence against a prince within the royal palace—where did you get such guts?”

Lin Moyu’s eyes narrowed, his aura growing more menacing.

A level 70 opponent? This was nothing new.

Dongfang Yao rushed forward, panic in her voice, “Sixth Uncle, it’s a misunderstanding!”

She had to defuse the situation before it spiraled out of control. Lin Moyu’s undead army was no joke. If a battle erupted, the royal palace itself might be reduced to rubble.

Even if Lin Moyu stood motionless, allowing them to attack, not even her father would dare to do so. Otherwise, Mad God and White God would undoubtedly raze the royal palace in retaliation.

Seeing Dongfang Yao intervene, Lin Moyu relented. He canceled his skill and ceased his attack.

Dongfang Shun, crumpled on the ground, finally managed to catch his breath. Gritting his teeth, he staggered upright, only to bellow, “Sixth Uncle, kill him! Kill him quickly!”

Before the words were fully spoken, another agonized scream escaped Dongfang Shun. The pain this time was more intense, leaving him writhing on the floor in a pitiful heap.

Sixth Uncle—Dongfang Mu—turned a fierce glare on Lin Moyu, his voice a low growl, “You dare?”

Dongfang Yao stepped in hastily, “Sixth Uncle, he deserved it.”

She cast a glance at Lin Moyu, speaking quickly, “This is my sixth uncle, Dongfang Mu.”

Fear gripped her that a fight might break out, leading to irreversible disaster.

Dongfang Mu froze, caught off guard by her words. His niece defending this stranger? He studied Lin Moyu intently.

Dongfang Shun was family—though not a blood sibling, he was still a prince. Yet here was Dongfang Yao, standing firmly in defense of an outsider. Who was this young man? And why was Yao, a royal, siding against her own?

Lin Moyu refrained from resuming his attack, but Soul Blaze continued to flicker ominously in his palm, ready to strike at any moment.

Dongfang Shun, feeling slightly better, dared not shout again. Hatred and fear warred in his eyes as he glanced at Lin Moyu.

This man was terrifying—utterly unlike anyone he had ever encountered. He acted without hesitation, wielding strange and menacing skills.

In an instant, more figures appeared in the sky. The newcomers, all top-level, level-70-plus, class users, were members of the royal family. Their auras surged, blanketing the royal palace.

Their arrival reignited Dongfang Shun’s bravado, and he shouted, “You’re finished now! Do you even know who I am? I’m a prince! How dare you lay a hand on me? Who do you think—”

Before he could finish, another agonized scream tore from his throat as he collapsed to the ground once more, writhing in pain.

Dongfang Yao pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, “He just doesn’t learn.”

“Impudent!”

“Courting death!”

Several voices roared in outrage, but with Dongfang Yao standing protectively in front of Lin Moyu, none dared make a move.

Dongfang Yao spoke firmly, “This is Lin Moyu. He is a disciple of Mad God and White God, and he holds the military rank of godly general.”

Her words stunned the crowd into silence.

This young man—a godly general?

Their gazes fell on Lin Moyu, finally noticing the purple military badge on his shoulder. They had overlooked it at first, but now that they saw it, its significance struck them like a thunderclap.

And he was a disciple of both Mad God and White God—either identity alone would be astonishing. Especially godly general, a title that placed him on par with God-level powerhouses.

Realizing the implications, the royal family members’ expressions shifted drastically. Even as royals, they didn’t have the nerve to challenge a godly general. The repercussions would be unimaginable.

Without hesitation, they quickly descended, their once-intimidating postures now subdued.

Dongfang Yao quickly explained the events leading up to the confrontation, her words concise and clear.

The royals turned to Lin Moyu, their earlier hostility replaced with warm, respectful greetings.

“Calling a godly general a stray... utterly disgraceful—he was asking for trouble.”

“A godly general must not be insulted. Even the emperor himself would show courtesy to someone of that rank.”

“Yet you—what do you think you are? No military merit, no contributions. You hide behind your title as a prince, yet you dare insult a godly general? Such arrogance!”

Sharp rebukes sounded one after another. The people present were all from the senior generation, most of whom were seasoned military veterans. They understood the gravity of Lin Moyu’s status.

Godly general wasn’t just a rank; it was a symbol of unparalleled authority within the military. Had Lin Moyu been harmed, Bai Yiyuan and Yan Kuangsheng wouldn’t have even needed to act. The military would have marched back from the Dimensional Battlefield within a day.

To the military, royal titles held no weight compared to the rank of godly general.

Dongfang Shun trembled under the onslaught of reprimands, too cowed to utter a word in his defense. His reckless ignorance had brought this humiliation upon himself.

Dongfang Yao’s gaze turned icy as she regarded Dongfang Shun. “Good for nothing.” She thought, “Always stirring up trouble.”

Had Lin Moyu been less restrained and killed him outright, the consequences would have been catastrophic.

Eventually, a few elders escorted the disgraced Dongfang Shun away, leaving the scene less tense.

Dongfang Yao turned back to Lin Moyu and offered a warm, apologetic smile, “Lin Moyu, I sincerely apologize for everything that happened earlier.”

Her use of his name was intentional, a small gesture to foster a sense of familiarity. They had spoken a few times before, and she hoped to strengthen their connection.

Lin Moyu remained calm, “About what I mentioned earlier—do you agree?”

Dongfang Shun’s antics hadn’t left a mark on Lin Moyu. To him, the prince was nothing more than an insignificant pest. Titles and royal airs held no meaning to him, and he had no interest in exploiting the situation for personal gain.

His focus remained singular: entering the lightning element dungeon, completing its upgrade, and claiming what he needed.

Dongfang Yao’s face lit up with enthusiasm, “Of course, of course, I agree!”

Without another word, Lin Moyu turned and entered the dungeon.

Watching him disappear inside, Dongfang Yao finally let out a long sigh of relief.

The gathered royals, still buzzing with curiosity, couldn’t help but ask what she had promised Lin Moyu.

Dongfang Yao recounted her agreement with him, then asked. “Uncles, do you think my decision was right?”

“If Lin Moyu can truly upgrade the dungeon, then what harm is there in letting him raid it a few more times?”

“Exactly. The dungeon isn’t some finite resource that will be depleted by raiding it.”

“What was Dongfang Shun thinking? Blindly insulting someone without considering the consequences?”

“Thankfully, Godly General Lin isn’t a man who holds grudges. If he had, Dongfang Shun would already be dead—and he’d have no one to blame but himself.”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Even if Lin Moyu had killed Dongfang Shun, who among them could retaliate? None of them would dare even lay a finger on him. The prince’s reckless words had invited disaster, and only Lin Moyu’s restraint had spared him.

In the military, the phrase a godly general must not be insulted was more than a saying—it was a deeply ingrained principle.

For those who had fought on battlefields or served in the military, the weight of this truth was undeniable. Godly generals were the cornerstone of humanity’s survival. Their sacrifices allowed the rest of society to live in peace.

“I think Dongfang Shun has had it too easy. He should be sent to the military to gain some experience.”

“He’s already level 45. Time in the military would do him good.”

“It’s settled, then. Though our royal family doesn’t hold much sway in the military, arranging for him to be sent isn’t an issue.”

“But what if he dies on the battlefield?”

“What of it? If he dies, he dies. Are the lives of our royal family members more precious than others’? Others can sacrifice themselves, but we can’t? Don’t forget the teachings of our ancestors.”

“Things have been too smooth lately. I believe all royal descendants should serve time in the military from now on.”

As the discussion continued, the conversation kept spiraling.

Dongfang Yao listened quietly, feeling utterly dumbfounded. What had started as a simple discussion was now upending the royal family’s way of life—and the one responsible for this was none other than Dongfang Shun.

It was clear that most royal descendants would soon resent Dongfang Shun. If it weren’t for his reckless words, the pampered royals could have continued their carefree lives. But now, those good days were over.

In the military, titles and status didn’t matter. Royal or not, everyone was treated the same.

Dongfang Yao knew this all too well, having served in the military herself.

…

Meanwhile, Lin Moyu stepped into the lightning elemental dungeon, known as Lightning Valley—a vast expanse filled with thunder and lightning.

Everywhere he looked, lightning took different forms. Thunderclouds in the sky rained down bolts of electricity. A sea of thunder hung over the ground like a dense mist. Spherical bolts of lightning rolled ominously across the terrain.

The moment Lin Moyu entered the dungeon, he became a target. Dozens of lightning bolts struck him instantly, but his Bone Armor was incredibly durable, absorbing the strikes with ease.

Thanks to the information provided by Dongfang Yao, Lin Moyu understood that these various forms of lightning were, in fact, lightning-type monsters.

The floating monsters in the sky were known as Lightning Clouds. The mist-like sea of thunder was made up of countless Thunder Spren. The rolling spheres were called Ball Lightning.

Among these creatures, Ball Lightning possessed the highest attack power, triggering the most intense reactions from his Bone Armor.

These monsters ranged from level 46 to level 47.

Lin Moyu didn’t attack them. Instead, he allowed their attacks to land on him as he contemplated the information provided by Dongfang Yao.

The royal family had tried countless strategies to upgrade this dungeon, yet all had failed. What else could possibly be attempted?
