Chapter 885 REMINDER OF THE FAVOR

885 REMINDER OF THE FAVOR

”IS the king really based on Teacher Jiang?” Luo Yan asked, referring to the king of Arcadia.

They were talking about Uncle Yi Mu and Teacher Jiang and this topic just came up. When Luo Yan heard Shen Ji Yun say that, he couldnʼt help but be surprised. Not only because of the fact that Uncle Yi Mu actually created an NPC that was based on his lover, but because he couldnʼt imagine the king of Arcadia being similar to the soft-spoken Teacher Jiang.

Shen Ji Yun seemed to understand his reaction, thatʼs why he explained, ”Well, itʼs not exactly their attitude that was the same. They have the same appearance. Their birthday is even the same.”

”You mean the kingʼs birthday festival is actually to commemorate Teacher Jiangʼs birthday? Wow.” Luo Yan whistled. ”Now thatʼs romantic.”

After his initial reaction about the birthday, he remembered the first part Shen Ji Yun said. That the kingʼs appearance was based on Teacher Jiang. Because the latter always wore thick glasses, Luo Yan could barely see his whole features. But if the other looked the same as the king, then heʼs definitely one heck of an attractive guy.

He looked at Shen Ji Yun and smiled playfully. ”Now I think I know where you get your romantic streak.”

Shen Ji Yun felt his cheeks heating up. He felt shy but he still said, ”Does Yan Yan think Iʼm romantic?”

”Now youʼre just fishing for compliment,” Luo Yan said playfully. ”But since Iʼm a good boyfriend, I will entertain you.” He looked at the other and said very seriously, ”Yes, I think youʼre the most romantic guy in the world.”

Shen Ji Yunʼs whole face turned red. ”Ahem- maybe not in the scale of the whole world. Itʼs probably more believable if itʼs just the whole city.”

Luo Yan laughed. ”What can I do? Iʼm bias. I canʼt help but think that my boyfriend is number one in everything.”

”Youʼre also my number one.”

Luo Yan smiled brightly. Look at how romantic his boyfriend was.

”But really, Iʼm happy for Uncle Yi Mu. Iʼm glad that he and Teacher Jiang are back together,” he said honestly.

Although he didnʼt know the whole story between the two and he doesnʼt plan to dig deep into it, he could feel that they must have gone through a lot. Now that theyʼre back together, Luo Yan truly hoped the best for them.

”Yes. Me too,” Shen Ji Yun said.

Luo Yan was about to say something when a message notification appeared in front of him. He frowned when he saw who it was from. But he still clicked and opened it.

Uriel: [Good evening, Noctis. I hope you havenʼt forgotten the favor you owe me. Iʼm sending you this message to remind you of that. Iʼll cash in on that favor this Saturday. Please go to our teamʼs headquarters after lunch. If you canʼt go, do tell me immediately so I can reschedule it.]

Luo Yanʼs brows furrowed after reading that. It had been quite a while since he last heard from Uriel. Thatʼs why he had almost forgotten about that damn favor.

Shen Ji Yun quickly noticed that something was wrong when he saw Luo Yanʼs expression. ”What is it?” he asked worriedly.

”Uriel sent me a message,” Luo Yan said with a sigh. ”He said heʼs cashing in on that favor I owe him.”

This time, it was Shen Ji Yunʼs turn to frown. ”You can decline. Iʼll make sure to take care of everything.”

Luo Yan smiled. ”As much as I would have loved that, no, itʼs alright. I can handle it. Besides, itʼs true that I owe him.”

Shen Ji Yun didnʼt like it. But he couldnʼt force Luo Yan to accept his help nor for the other to change his mind. So, thereʼs only one thing he could do at this moment.

”Iʼll go with you,” he said.

Luo Yan smiled. ”Okay.”

He then replied to Uriel.

Noctis: [Iʼll be there at one in the afternoon.]

Duan Yu wasnʼt too surprised by the reply. In fact, it was something he had already expected.

”So, will he come?”

He turned to Song Liuli who just asked that question. ”He will.”

The other pouted. ”And here I thought he would refuse.”

”I may not know him that well, but I donʼt think heʼs the type of guy who would go back on his words,” Duan Yu said. ”So, itʼs safe to say that he would be here and he would agree to the deal I will offer him.”

Song Liuli sighed. ”Which meant that I have to work with him.”

Duan Yu pinched the otherʼs cheek affectionately. ”I donʼt think it would be that bad, working with Noctis, I mean. Or is Li Li worried that her beauty would be outshined by Noctis?”

Song Liuli punched Duan Yuʼs shoulder. ”You dream.”

They heard someone chuckled from the opposite side. The two glanced at the guy sitting on the opposite couch.

The other had bright golden hair like a sun softly curled around his small face. His pair of golden amber eyes were surrounded by long golden eyelashes. He was exuding this gentle atmosphere that anyone would want to be near him.

Just like a real angel.

”Ah Min, are you laughing at us?” Song Liuli asked their teamʼs captain, narrowing her eyes at him.

Li Xu Min smiled. ”No, Iʼm just happy that the two of you are getting along so well.”

”Of course we get along,” Song Liuli said as if it was a matter of fact. But anyone who could see her right now could see how proud she was of that.

Duan Yu just shook his head at that. As if the other was not bickering with him just now. But, weird as it might be, thatʼs also one of the things he liked about her.

”So, Noctis will come to our headquarters this Saturday?” Li Xu Min asked, changing the topic.

Duan Yu nodded.

Li Xu Min smiled. ”Maybe Iʼll drop by and say hello.”
