The Return Of The God Level Assassin

Chapter 884 IN THE SAME WAY

884 IN THE SAME WAY

LUO YAN glanced at Shen Ji Yun with amusement. They were inside the pavilion at the back garden of their headquarters. The other was sitting a bit far from him and was avoiding his gaze. Shen Ji Yunʼs whole face was bright red and it seemed that he was trying to catch his breath.

Even though the latter was quite impossible considering that they were inside the game. And the only time one could feel out of breath was if they lost stats or something similar. Surely, their kiss wasnʼt equivalent to something like a death-defying attach?

”Brother Ji Yun, will you have the same reaction every time we kiss?” he asked playfully.

”I—” Shen Ji Yun swallowed whatever he was about to say. He knew if he justified his reaction, Luo Yan would just tease him. He took a deep breath and scooted to the otherʼs side. ”Donʼt tease me. Iʼm still trying to get use to this.”

Luo Yan smiled. ”Then we should probably do things one step at a time so as not to startle you.”

Shen Ji Yun was about to nod when he once again felt that feeling that the other was acting like heʼs the one older between the two of them. He felt like he had to clear that ʼmisunderstandingʼ now.

”Yan Yan, do you think Iʼm childish or immature?”

”No, of course not,” Luo Yan answered, wondering why the other suddenly asked this.

Although there were times when Shen Ji Yun was like an innocent angel, that was hardly the same as being immature or childish. The former was adorable while the latter could be annoying. The only that Luo Yan would probably find adorable if they acted childish was probably Luo Jin.

”Then, why does it seem like, at times, youʼre treating me like Iʼm someone younger than you?” Shen Ji Yun asked with a serious expression.

If Luo Yan was drinking something at that moment, he would have probably already choked. Could he say that itʼs because heʼs really older? Soul-wise and mental-wise, at least.

Of course, he couldnʼt say that to the other. Although he does plan to tell Shen Ji Yun about his past and how he came into this body, but thatʼs further in the future and definitely not now. So, how should he answer this question?

”Hmm... do I do that?” he asked first so he could think first of a viable excuse.

”Yes. Although not often, but you do.”

”Maybe because I find Brother Ji Yun adorable at times, thatʼs why I unconsciously act that way,” Luo Yan said before leaning on the otherʼs shoulder. He raised his head and blinked his eyes, acting all cute. ”Itʼs hard to stop myself when Brother Ji Yun is so adorable.”

As expected, Shen Ji Yun blushed once again. ”You- youʼre the adorable one.”

Luo Yan chuckled. He truly wanted to kiss the other again. But he held himself back. He didnʼt want to be thought of as some horny teenager. Just like what he said to Shen Ji Yun earlier, itʼs better to just take things one at a time.

”By the way, Brother Ji Yun, I saw Uncle Yi Mu at school today. He was there to fetch Teacher Jiang. Are they close friends?” he asked, changing the topic and also asking the thing that heʼd been thinking of asking the other since he returned from school.

Shen Ji Yunʼs expression quickly went back to normal when he heard Luo Yanʼs question. A confused look appeared on his face. ”Teacher Jiang?”

”His name is Jiang Yue. He works as a councilor at my school. Donʼt you know him?”

At that answer, Shen Ji Yun finally understood something. The reason why Uncle Yue was able to meet him outside that restaurant was no mere coincidence. The other probably saw him at Luo Yanʼs school and decided to follow, probably thinking that he might see his uncle with him.

This meant that, at that time, Uncle Yue already had thoughts of meeting with his uncle again. Shen Ji Yunʼs decision of going to S City to celebrate Luo Yanʼs birthday in person had now become a blessing in disguise for both his uncle and Uncle Yue.

”I know him,” he answered with a small smile on his lips. ”Heʼs... heʼs a very special person to my uncle. In the same way that youʼre special to me.”

Luo Yanʼs eyes slowly widened at the implications of those words. Since he didnʼt think that his comprehension had deteriorated, it seemed that Shen Ji Yun was telling him that Uncle Yi Mu was in love with Teacher Jiang.

So, thatʼs the meaning of that gaze. He thought he was just jumping to conclusion. But this was truly surprising. Even though he had guessed it, finding out that heʼs right was still a bit unexpected.

Anyway, knowing that didnʼt really change much. Itʼs not like his respect for Uncle Yi Mu would diminish after finding this out. So, what he chose to ask was;

”Is Uncle Yi Mu in an unrequited love with Teacher Jiang?”

”Oh no. They both love each other very much,” Shen Ji Yun quickly said. ”Actually they separated a few years back and then just reunited only this past weekend, in fact.”

Luo Yan felt that thereʼs a big story behind that. But before that, he felt like he needed to make sure of something first.

”Is it alright to tell me all this? Itʼs Uncle Yi Muʼs private life, after all.”

”I think itʼs fine,” Shen Ji Yun said, scratching his cheek. ”Actually, Uncle also knows about us. But donʼt worry, he doesnʼt disapprove of us being together! In fact, since I told him about my feelings for you, heʼs been very supportive.”

Luo Yan was surprised at first knowing that Uncle Yi Mu knew about them. But he quickly thought that thatʼs probably only natural. Out of all the adults around them, Uncle Yi Mu was probably the only one who could truly understand what they were going through.

He was glad that Shen Ji Yun had an uncle like him who could be his mental support.
