STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Wilderness

Swoosh!

The hybrid beast started charging towards the young human Beast Tamer again. Blood was still running and dyeing the ground.

Jeremy Night was not surprised. He was ready to face the beast again.

Swoosh!

The hybrid corrupted beast came charging again this time. Another side of its body was exposed.

Jeremy Night coated the blade in starlight power again. A bright, glowing white power almost blurred the beast’s eyes.

Pfff!

This time, when it got closer, he used the same tactics again. He moved sideways to evade. At the same time, his blade came in contact with the beast’s body.

The starlight blade penetrated the skin and made another red horizontal line.

Puchak!

The thick blood gushed forth like water. Now the hybrid corrupted beast was injured on both sides of its body. It was bleeding profusely. If left like that, the corrupted beast would bleed to death.

Roar!

The corrupted beast made a low roar. Its senses kicked in. It realized that it was injured. The young Tier-2 Beast Tamer was not weak. The beast finally felt fear.

Swoosh!

The next second, it turned around and started fleeing.

Roar!

The Red Tiger made a loud roar. It quickly caught up with the beast and ended the beast’s life in one move.

Puchak!

The huge beast claw decapitated the beast’s head. The blood gushed forth like a torrent. The severed head rolled over the ground.

Gasp!

Another loud exclamation occurred. The female beast tamers and the beast tamers from the Beast Taming Association were rooted to the spot.

The red-haired woman was dumbfounded. Her heart was in turmoil.

She had been playing a prank. She had thought others would rescue the young beast tamer.

But it turned out he didn’t need help at all. He was strong from the beginning, so strong that he could fight across ranks. It was they who were fooled by him.

Jeremy then sheathed his blade. His gaze swept across everyone. He could see everyone was looking at him with a different gaze.

The Tier-5 Beast Tamers’ eyes were filled with surprise and respect.

Earlier, their eyes were filled with disdain. It was no more. They were in such shock that no one was speaking up.

Instructor Dolly felt it was time to speak up.

She said, ”His name is Jeremy Night. He may be a Tier-2 Beast Tamer, but he was just a high school graduate a year and a half ago. He fought during the Beast invasion and killed many Tier-3 and Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts.”

”His name was once recommended for the genius list of the Human Alliance,” she added.

Gasp!

A loud exclamation occurred. The name was not new to them, especially to the students from Central University. This name was one of the most discussed on their forum.

They couldn’t believe the young beast tamer in front of them was Jeremy Night. It was because Jeremy Night was wearing an armor suit and helmet; they had failed to look at his face and recognize him.

The Beast Tamers from the Beast Taming Association understood now. He was not an ordinary Tier-2 Beast Tamer, but a genius.

The red-haired woman didn’t have any words to say. Her heart was still shaking. She had heard about Jeremy Night.

She didn’t expect the person inside the armor suit was him.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night saw everyone’s reactions and noted the expressions of those who had made fun of him earlier.

Instructor Dolly realized that it was time to leave. They had yet to reach their destination.

She said, ”Alright, everyone. It’s time to move. We still need to reach our destination.”

Hearing that, the students and the beast tamers recovered their thoughts.

Swoosh!

Instructor Dolly then started moving forward, the female students following behind her.

Then the Beast Tamers started moving as well. As usual, Jeremy Night was the last one to follow.

But this time, he found a few people were interested in talking to him. Yet, he ignored them and maintained a distance.

This situation was observed by everyone. They realized their attitude towards Jeremy Night earlier was different. It couldn’t be undone right now.

...

Meanwhile,

Instructor Wyatt and his team had gotten closer to the destination. They were going to the area between the inner area and the core area.

About 10 minutes later, they reached the spot. Instructor Wyatt’s face did not look good. His expression was grave.

He then turned towards the students and the Beast Tamers from the Beast Taming Association.

”Look for the corpses of our students. They were buried here somewhere,” he said to them.

Swoosh!

Hearing that, the male students began to act swiftly.

They started going through the area, looking for signs of burial.

The Beast Tamers from the Beast Taming Association were confused. Their mission was to escort these people, not to look for corpses.

So, they chose to remain silent.

Instructor Wyatt saw this situation. He looked at the Tier-5 Beast Tamers.

He said, ”If you help us find the graves, I will give you extra credits.”

”I’m not forcing you. If you want to volunteer, it’s fine,” he added.

Hearing that, the Tier-5 Beast Tamers looked at each other. Some of them really wanted to help. The credit points were important to them.

A few of them stepped forward and started helping out.

Seeing that, Instructor Wyatt relaxed a lot.

Boom!

Not long after, their search was disrupted by the appearance of corrupted beasts.

They were Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts. More than three Corrupted Beast Scorpions had come to attack them.

Instructor Wyatt noticed the beasts. He and the other Tier-5 Beast Tamers went to attack them.

”Don’t stop working. We have limited time here. We have to find the corpses before more beasts arrive,” Wyatt said to the students.

The 3rd and 4th-year students started working more seriously.

The other Tier-5 Beast Tamers were shocked and confused. They didn’t know who killed and buried the corpses of the students here.

They knew something was going on, but they didn’t want to be part of it. They wanted to go back home after completing the mission.
