Core Area:

Kee-Kee-Kee-Kee!

The Sky Eagle reaches the nest 10 minutes later. The beast dropped the prey on the nest. Then it flew away to find the next meal.

Jeremy with his bloodied body adjusted himself and looked at the nest. There are four human adult height eggs next to him.

They are not hatched yet. His heart skips a beat. He doesn’t want to become food for newly born chicks. Jeremy then walks up to the edge.

Each step is causing him severe pain. Because he is not fully healed. The inner healing method has stopped his internal bleeding. But he is yet to recover fully.

Jeremy reaches the edge of the next. Then he looks down below. His mind shook the next second. The tree is too tall. He guesses it’s over 300ft high.

If he falls down from here, he will become meat paste. He wants to get down. But it would be difficult to attempt to climb down with his injury.

But if he doesn’t come up with an answer. He will become food for the Sky Eagle. Jeremy uses his eye ability to observe the tree.

The tree is huge and tall. At the same time, it has strong thick branches. He could use these branches to rest. The branch won’t break.

It’s just that he is wary of the Sky Eagle. Even if he succeeded to get down to one of these branches. The Sky Eagle may come back again to capture him.

Jeremy then made a decision. It’s better to try than dying.

More importantly, he still had some stuff inside his storage ring. It can temporarily take care of his wounds. He hadn’t thought about it earlier.

Now the presence of necessary items comes to his mind.

Then he started to look for a way to get down. He then sees a stable branch on the other side of the nest connecting to the trunk. .

But he has to move these eggs so that he can get to the other side. He made a decision and walked up to the eggs.

He didn’t need to move all these eggs. He just has to move one of them to create a gap.

He then slowly does that. He was careful not to be forceful. Otherwise, the egg would break. But fortunately, the egg’s outer shell was hard.

Rustle!

He managed to move aside the egg slightly. In this small gap, he began to move through it. He then comes to the other side of the edge without problem.

Then he jumped over and landed on the thick and wide stable branch. There is no risk of slipping. Since the branch is so wide and thick.

So four people can stand at the same time.

”Phew!”

Jeremy breathed in a sigh of relief. He escaped from the immediate danger. But the threat is still looming over his head.

Then he checks his storage ring. There are some necessary items which can help him recover somewhat. He took those bandages outside.

He started to clean the wounds before putting the bandages.

20 minutes later,

He completed the work. He can take care of his wounds but not the broken bones.

First he decided to get somewhere safely before thinking about it. He thought of the Sky Eagle.

He needs to get down before the Sky Eagle returns.

Then he collected his thoughts and sizes up the trunk. The trunk girth can take up more than 15 people to hold hands to encircle the trunk.

He then continued to look for a way to go to another branch down below. He could simply jump down from here. But he doesn’t want to aggravate the injuries.

He then tries to climb down using the trunk. He gripped the barks and tried to slide down slowly. Then he moved his feet down.

His entire body is touching the trunk. After taking a few steps, he reaches the other branch. Slowly, he moved to the other branch and sat down.

His heart was beating fast. One mistake, then he will die. To remove the distracting thoughts, he started practicing the inner healing method.

As the time passed, he understood that the inner healing method helps in removing the fatigue as well. Once he recovered, he started climbing down again.

Time goes by,

He was able to go down below 50ft. But still more than 250ft to go down. Unfortunately, the night time comes.

Instead of continuing going down. He started to dig a small tree hole to hide. He still hasn’t forgotten that Sky Eagle. It will return soon.

It took him another hour to complete it. It’s a small tree hole. It’s enough for him to hide. He entered inside and covered the entrance with the barks.

He had dug up the hole in such a way that Sky Eagle won’t be able to use its claws to capture him.

After doing that he began to rest. He couldn’t believe himself. He was able to do all of this. Maybe it’s because of the survival instinct.

He took care of the open wounds with the bandages. The breathing method healed his internal injuries somewhat. But he got no answers for the broken bones. It’s still hurting him a lot.

He had never dreamt of facing such a struggle. He can only think of using the breathing method. One good thing though, the severe injuries triggered the healing ability of the body.

He needs to activate the self-healing ability of the body more in the future. Who knows? He can recover faster next time. He closed his eyes and started practicing the inner healing method.

The natural energy from the surroundings enters his body. The cells began to absorb the energy greedily.

Buzz!

The unknown lifeline beast egg started to suck the natural energy from the surroundings.

Seeing that Jeremy Night was not surprised.

The natural energy in the core area is stronger than the city. It’s also one of the reasons why his body’s self healing ability was triggered.

Jeremy Night knows it’s a good opportunity for the lifeline beast egg to absorb the rich natural energy. He doesn’t know whether such an opportunity will come next time.
