STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

City A (10th zone):

Jeremy Night and his team members were waiting outside. None of them went back inside the building. The black clouds could appear again.

Everyone is carrying fear on their faces. The leaders were no different. They are experiencing fear too. In the face of the Tier-9 Colossal Beast, they are nothing but ants.

Gilsela is watching the expression of her squad. Compared to the 1st and 2nd squads. Her gaze was set on the 3rd Squad.

She sees Jeremy Night, Sinag and others. She found that Jeremy Night was fine. But others’ faces were not good-looking. Their faces filled with fear.

Gisela wants to comfort them. But she doesn’t know what to say. Everyone heard about the Tier-9 Colossal Beast. It was enough for them to have immense fear.

Even if she tries to comfort them, it won’t work. Unless, the Tier-9 Beast Tamer himself says the truth about killing the Ant beast queens.

Time passed,

At nightfall, the whole city was filled with terrifying silence. The Heads of the various organisations were standing guard for their people.

The City Administration’s guards were dispatched in many teams to protect the local residents. In the city administration, the three City Governors were standing outside, gazing at the sky.

It has been several hours but there was no sign of Lord Afonso coming back. They felt guilty. They think Lord Afonso must be searching for the ant beast queens.

”Shall we help?”

”It’s nighttime. He might face the attack of the Colossal Beast,” Leonor said with concern.

Hearing that the faces of Marcos and Enzo change as well. The teamwork of three of them was necessary to block the two ant-beast queens.

More importantly, there is a need to be someone here to guide the various organisations’ Heads. The forces here have a rivalry between them.

Only the city governors can make them listen.

”Alright, I’m going back to the wilderness,” Marcos said to them.

”You guys should take care of the matters here. Don’t allow the Heads and their people to leave the city. It might anger Lord Afonso,” Marcos added.

The strength of the City Governors and the various Heads was the same. Because of it, it’s hard for them to convince the various Heads sometimes.

If not for their position as the City Governors, the various Heads wouldn’t listen to them.

”We will take care of the city,” Enzo said to him.

”I won’t allow anyone to enter the wilderness,” Leonor said.

Hearing those words from two of them, Marcos nodded to them.

Swoosh!

Marcos then rose from the ground and appeared in midair. This was seen by the locals and other beast tamers.

Even the various organisations’ heads saw City Governor Marcos as well. They wanted to follow the City Governor Marcos.

Then they saw City Governor Marcos was going alone. So they stopped going towards him.

Under everyone’s watch, City Governor Marcos entered the wilderness. He didn’t stop anywhere. He is flying directly towards the inner area.

Meanwhile,

Something serious is happening in the inner area.

Boom!

The Spider Lord has returned. It’s now fighting against Afonso and his lifeline beast. This time, the 100-foot-tall Spider Lord has decided to kill Afonso.

Boom!

Instead of attacking the enemy with the spider webs. It’s attacking using the poisonous ink. The poisonous ink was pitch black in colour.

Wherever the poisonous ink lands. It’s corroding the entire place. In the blink of an eye, the targeted spot turned to nothing.

Including the plants, grasses and the ground.

Afonso’s face was grim. He knows the danger of the poisonous ink. Once he gets attacked by it. Then he would be poisoned to death.

There is no cure for the poison as well. No one can save the beast tamer. If the Lifeline beast were poisoned, then the Lifeline beast would die as well.

Swoosh!

As time passes, the fight continues to happen. At this time, Marcos arrived at the place as well. He saw the destruction that had happened in the inner area.

The place was covered with black ink everywhere. He doesn’t want to inspect it. Because he is already experiencing a sense of crisis.

The black poisonous ink was dangerous. Marcos could guess that it was the poison of the Spider Lord.

Then he hears a loud booming sound from a certain direction. He could see the towering giant. It’s the body of the Spider Lord.

Swoosh!

Seeing that he went to that side. Afonso and Big Leopard were trying to inflict injuries on the spider lord. Afonso saw that Marcos was here.

He asked, ”What are you doing here?”

”Lord, I came here to see you,” Marcos replied.

Afonso understood the reason.

”You can’t do anything here. The Ant Beast Queens must be resting and recovering right now. So go back to the city,” Afonso ordered him.

Hearing that Marcos’ face was darkened. But it was true that he couldn’t do anything against the Spider lord. Only the attacks from Tier-9 Beast Tamers can inflict injuries.

Marcos then gave a look before leaving the place. He came here to check up on the Lord. He is doing his best to block the Spider Lord.

If not for the presence of the Lord and his Lifeline beast, the Spider Lord would have marched towards their city. He didn’t know whether it was good to reveal the news to others.

Swoosh!

When Marcos was gone from the place. Afonso’s eyes flickered. There is a reason why he wanted the Marcoses gone. He had already requested help from the Headquarters.

They had dispatched another Tier-9 Beast Tamer. He doesn’t know who that person is. It would be a matter of time before he comes here.

He could have told Marcos so that people in the city could be at ease. But he didn’t. Because there is a reason. The spider lord in front of him has good intelligence.

If it learned that help is on the way, it might call for help from the core area. He doesn’t want that to happen.

A few minutes later,

Roar!

The Big Leopard let out a roar. Its blue lightning is striking the ground everywhere.

Afonso, who was using his lightning ability, was stunned as well. Because he found out that the big leopard was not attacked by the Spider Lord.

Then why did his lifeline beast let out a roar? Afonso’s expression darkened.

Roar!

The Big Leopard let out a roar in pain again. Its paws were releasing the blue lightning bolts. The big leopard is trying to hit something.

Finally, it’s landed on the targeted area, it’s nothing but its own body. Yet something sinister has coiled around the Leopard’s body.

Boom!

When the blue lightning bolts struck the black colour thing. It immediately releases its grip on Big Leopard. Then the black colour thing was hidden behind the bushes.

The Big Leopard was injured. Its back and abdomen were full of blood marks

Roar!

The Big Leopard let out a roar before going to the side of Afonso.

At the same time, Afonso notices the blood marks and realises that Big Leopard was injured.

”What?” Afonso uttered in shock.

Boom!

The next second, the black colour thing appears out of the bushes. It’s moving like a snake. But it was not a snake. It’s a Tier-9 Black Centipede.

It has a body size of 30ft fall and more than 100 ft in length. The centipede was the one that gripped the body of Big Leopard earlier.

Afonso recognised the Colossal beast. His face was filled with horror. He never expected the Spider Lord to call for help.

The spider lord stopped attacking. It’s now looking at both Afonso and the leopard. Earlier, both of them annoyed me so much. It went back to the core area to bring back the help.

Upon returning, its main goal was to eliminate both of them. If it had wanted to attack the city, then the city would have chaos right now.

What more? Another colossal beast has joined them. Both of the goals were to eliminate the threat in front of them. If both Colossal Beasts were to attack the city, then Afonso wouldn’t be able to save the city.

That’s why he was terrified right now. He can only try to stall them for some time. He is hoping that help will come at the right time.

Boom!

He then orders his Lifeline beast to block the Spider Lord. He will take care of the Black Centipede. Since his body was small, the Centipede beast wouldn’t be able to catch him.

Boom!

The next second, a fierce fight takes place. Both Big Leopard and Afonso were trying their best with blue lightning attacks to stop them.

Meanwhile,

Marcos is returning to the city at full speed. But he could hear the sounds coming from behind again. He broke out into a cold sweat.

He doesn’t know what happened now. He thinks that Spider Lord must have been enraged. That’s why the sound has increased so much. He convinced himself.
