At the moment when Seong was utterly toying with Raktira—

The Golden Knights, escorted by the Black Knights and White Knights, stormed into the city.

Countless Basilica soldiers blocked their way, but not a single one could even slow them down.

At the forefront, Lumina, the commander of the Golden Knights, strode forward with absolute determination and speed. Nothing could hinder her advance.

However, as she made her way toward the heart of Basilica, her steps abruptly halted.

”You dare invade Basilica without knowing your place?”

”Heh, and yet, I wonder who it is that truly doesn’t know their place here?”

The one who stood in Lumina’s path was none other than a black-scaled serpent beastfolk—the absolute ruler of Basilica.

And yet, for some reason...

The black serpent trembled as he looked at Lumina.

He was the undisputed ruler of Basilica. But before Lumina, he could not assert his dominance.

”...H-How...?”

He recognized her.

That young lioness from before, back when he was not yet king—

He never imagined she could grow this strong.

Could it be that while Basilica was tearing itself apart in civil strife, gnawing away at its own power—

Ninyaru, under the rule of an absolute sovereign, had been silently growing stronger all this time?

The thought sent a shiver of fear down the black serpent’s spine.

There was no way—no way he could lose to someone who wasn’t even Ninyaru’s ruler.

Clinging to that belief, he attempted to assert his dominance—

But then Lumina spoke, her voice laced with fury.

”Cut the nonsense. Did you really think you were the only one who got stronger? We left you alone because you weren’t worth the effort, but now you have the audacity to crawl back up?”

Her voice rumbled with a low, growling intensity, and the black serpent involuntarily took a step back.

As long as it wasn’t Karnyao of Ninyaru himself, he thought he could win—

But if this was the strength of Ninyaru now, even if Basilica had launched an attack on them, they might not have been able to wipe out the feline merchants.

And now, this situation was even worse.

The city walls had already fallen, and the Golden Knights were rampaging through the heart of Basilica.

Most of all—

‘Am I afraid?’

Was he truly being overwhelmed by the presence of a mere commander of the Golden Knights?

It was absurd.

Yet, he could not deny the reality before his eyes.

”...So, a mere female has managed to grow stronger.”

”Heh, you really don’t know when to shut up, do you? In that case, I suppose I have no choice.”

With that, Lumina drew her sword.

The black serpent, too, expanded his form, preparing to fight at full power from the very start.

There would be significant damage to Basilica, but—

If he did not stop Lumina now, he might be the one to die.

With that realization, the black serpent entered a state of extreme vigilance, throwing everything he had at Lumina.

Thus, within Basilica, a battle unfolded that far exceeded the level of this region.

As the darkness dissipated from Seong’s blade—

All of Raktira’s senses returned at once.

And when he saw the scene before him, his expression twisted in bewilderment.

How had none of them been caught in the blast?

He couldn’t comprehend it—but then, he became keenly aware of the severe damage he had sustained.

And at that moment—

His gaze locked onto Seong, standing in the distance, gripping a magic tome brimming with destructive energy.

—”Damn, this is the first time I’ve ever felt bad for a mob...”

—”Right? LOL.”

—”Whoa, he’s really using that here.”

Raktira’s eyes widened at the sight of Seong unleashing an ominous power.

He immediately attempted to escape—but the webbing soaked in his own venom surrounding him made his pupils quiver.

He had launched those webs himself, yet in his current state, escaping them would not be easy.

If he rushed, he would only trap himself further.

Instead of retreating, he chose to defend.

Raktira didn’t know what spell Seong was about to cast—

But he reinforced his webbing, weaving an unyielding cocoon to shield himself.

Just in time—

The cocoon was completed the instant Seong’s fingertips activated the magic circle.

The intricate design of the circle interlocked like the gears of a grand machine—

Then, the entire formation began to spin.

And in that moment—

A spell long forbidden, lost to history for its overwhelming power, was cast into the world.

[ Erasure Laser ]

A beam that permitted no defense.

A ray that obliterated all it touched.

It shot forth, piercing straight through Raktira’s cocoon—

Leaving a fist-sized hole in his side.

”Kuagh—!!”

With blood spewing from his mouth, Raktira was thrown backward by the impact, his cocoon dissolving into a mess of venom-laced webbing.

As the liquefied cocoon dripped away, Raktira emerged, clutching his wounded side.

And in that opening—

Drakanos, Valtar, Leonic, and Barfur charged at him.

In that instant—

Raktira’s eight eyes widened, and he let out a chilling declaration.

”...I will consume you all.”

Though his voice carried no emotion,

The sheer menace in it was undeniable.

Then—

A grotesque cracking sound echoed as his body began to change.

[ Hidden Raid Boss: Basilica’s Commander, Raktira, is transforming. ]

[ Hidden Raid Boss: Basilica’s Commander, Raktira, has entered Phase 2. ]

Warning!

Upon entering Phase 2, the Raid Boss becomes significantly stronger.Exercise extreme caution. With that ominous warning flashing across the screen, Raktira’s body swelled.

No longer resembling a beastfolk—his form now was closer to that of a true monstrosity.

Larger than the labyrinth spider, Talonphia.

A behemoth of a creature, towering over the battlefield, its entire body bristling with venomous spines—so massive it could only be described as a calamity incarnate.

Seong and his subordinates narrowed their eyes.

But in truth, this was better.

The bigger it was, the easier it would be to hit.

Seong began preparing several area-of-effect spells. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

Or rather, he tried to—

But Raktira, having sensed his intentions, bristled its spines and aimed them skyward—

Then fired.

Shushushushushushushushushu—!!!

Countless venomous quills shot into the air, their sheer volume staining the sky a deep, murky purple.

Seong immediately called out.

”Noctrynium.”

”I am here.”

At Seong’s command, Noctrynium raised the surrounding earth, forming a massive barrier around him and his subordinates.

Yet even that wasn’t enough.

Serpina wove winds around the barrier, reinforcing its durability.

Helena layered celestial and abyssal energy atop it, fortifying it further.

Pupupupupupupupupupup—!!!

Even so, the venomous spines embedded themselves into the wall, their sheer force palpable.

Seong remained unfazed, activating a cascade of skills.

A black sun rose into the sky—

Spewing forth dark flames and shadows, birthing an army of soldiers wreathed in its corruption.

Jagged obsidian thorns rained down upon the colossal Raktira.

Scarlet swords, dripping with venomous blood, shot forward.

Fwoooooosh!

Fwooosh—!!

Boooooooom—!!!

Thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk!!!

The blood-drenched blades impaled Raktira’s flesh, detonating upon impact.

The blackened thorns embedded themselves into his body, blossoming like ominous flowers that swallowed the surroundings in darkness.

And the Black Sun’s soldiers swarmed him, mercilessly carving into his flesh.

Yet—

He did not fall.

Instead, he endured it all—

Even retaliating, spewing torrents of venom at Seong’s barricade in an attempt to dissolve it.

Seong countered immediately—unleashing Whispers of the Void, a force that grew stronger the more darkness it consumed.

A monstrous black serpent slithered forth—

Growing ever larger as it devoured the Black Sun’s soldiers.

By the time it reached Raktira, it had grown to his size—

And promptly sank its fangs into his skull.

Yet still, Raktira did not waver.

His will refused to break.

Even now, his sole focus was on tearing down Seong’s defenses.

But—

”If Seong’s giving it his all, I guess I should too. Hrrrrnnnnngh!!!”

Helena, grinning, unleashed a barrage of celestial and abyssal spells upon him.

Even with the wall obstructing his view, Seong could sense the tide shifting in their favor.

Still—prolonging this fight any further would only be a waste.

With a swirl of crimson mist, Seong activated Blood Plague Explosion.

The venom coursing through Raktira’s body detonated—

Ripping apart his insides.

”Grhhhk—!!”

A guttural groan of pain escaped Raktira’s maw.

And in that moment, he understood.

‘This form... is a disadvantage.’

Breaking through Seong’s defenses with brute force was no longer an option.

If he had any hope of winning—

He had to revert.

Just as Seong and Helena were about to unleash another devastating barrage—

Raktira abruptly shifted back into his beastfolk form.

Shrinking just in time to evade their attacks.

Seong and Helena, unfazed, dissolved the barrier.

And as Raktira lunged at them—

They commanded their subordinates to strike.

The first to move was, naturally, the fastest—

Anemore.

With a crackle of thunder, Anemore surged forward—

Driving a bolt of lightning straight into Raktira’s heart.

Bzzzzzzzzzt!!!

He was too fast.

Raktira couldn’t avoid it, taking the full brunt of the attack.

But he couldn’t afford to falter.

His only target was Seong.

He pushed forward, ignoring the incoming blows—

But the interference from Seong’s subordinates was relentless.

It was impossible to break through alone.

—”Wow, this is insane.”

—”Right? The defense is ridiculous.”

—”So, uh... to defeat the Demon King, you’d have to get past all of these guys?”

—”Even if you do, Seong himself is still OP as hell.”

—”Dude’s a walking fortress LOL.”

Viewers marveled at the absurdity of it all.

Raktira had no way through.

As despair set in—

Hope arrived.

”Are you alright?”

”Allow us to assist.”

Shivren and Noirtein.

With these two—

Everything could change.

Was it because he was too desperate?

For a fleeting moment, Raktira forgot to question it.

Forgot to wonder how these two had managed to defeat both the White and Black Knights so quickly.

Forgot to question why they were here instead of fighting elsewhere.

All he could see was salvation.

”If you handle the others, I will take care of the mage.”

”Hmmm.”

”...I see.”

Shivren and Noirtein exchanged glances.

Then—

Thwip! Thwip!

Four daggers lodged themselves into Raktira’s throat.

”......???”

He barely had time to process it.

When he turned to face them—

Dark and teal auras shimmered around them.

”That would be problematic.”

”Eliminating our master? Unforgivable.”

”You— You traitors!?”

His eight eyes quivered violently.

They were traitors all along?

He couldn’t believe it.

His eyes widened in disbelief—

And the audience, too, erupted in laughter.

—”LMAOOOOO that’s cold as hell.”

—”HE THOUGHT THEY WERE ON HIS SIDE LOL.”

—”Dude’s face... that’s pure betrayal.”

—”I would never betray the Demon King. Ever.”

—”Nah, Seong’s actually evil LMAO.”

—”Honestly, this is just cruel.”

With the chat exploding in cheers—

”You cowardly, treacherous bastards!!! Fxxk!!!”

Raktira’s furious scream rang out—

But minutes later, he collapsed.

”Haah... not an easy ➤ NоvеⅠight ➤ (Read more on our source) fight.”

Seong muttered.

—”LMAOOOO HE SAYS THAT AFTER TOYING WITH HIM.”

—”Dude absolutely obliterated him and still says it wasn’t easy.”

—”Actually insane LMAO.”

—”Raktira’s down bad.”

The chat descended into chaos.
