Pillar of Yita

”Old He, wasn’t the message clear enough, to help the Twilight Guild complete the mission.”

”I understand, but Chairman, the situation below is not looking good. Why not wait for reinforcements to arrive before completing this mission?”

”This is what the Twilight Guild requested.”

”But our people might be in danger.”

”Old He, I understand what you mean,” the Chairman’s voice sounded somewhat optimistic: ”But don’t worry, the guild will compensate you — think about it, why did we come to this world? It was simply to collect more valuable high dimensional information, and if necessary, sacrificing Starlight is an acceptable cost; you should understand this, right?”

The captain of the Holy White Stone Guild suddenly understood something: ”What price did the people of the Twilight Guild offer, that it’s worth it for us to do this?”

”A lot, including but not limited to transferring their entire share of this mining area to us.”

Upon hearing this, the former couldn’t help but take a deep breath: ”What kind of mission is worth them paying this price?”

”That’s none of our business.”

”But if those monsters outside break in... is the Twilight Guild playing some kind of trick...”

”Rest assured, even if those monsters occupy the mining area for a moment, we can still clear them out; can’t we few guilds together handle this small matter?”

”But that would cause a huge commotion.”

”Even after paying tax to the King, the revenue from below this mining area is a sure profit for us; no one knows better than us the crystal reserves under this mining area over the past few months.”

The captain was silent for a moment, then nodded to show he understood. He closed the communication crystal and walked back in front of the other party, speaking: ”Alright, let’s discuss how we will cooperate in detail.”

The man smiled and looked to the side, saying: ”Before discussing these, should we invite the lady outside the door to come in first?”

The captain of the Holy White Stone Guild was slightly taken aback, involuntarily looking in that direction; the door opened in response, and standing outside was a emotionless Miss Nightingale — Alice calmly looked at the two and spoke in a flat tone: ”Captain, it seems a fire has started over at the Hall of Trees.”

”Ignore that for now,” the captain shook his head, ”You came at just the right time, Rainbow, there are some things to notify you all about.”

”I heard from outside,” Alice’s tone had no emotional fluctuation, ”Do you want me to inform the others?”

The former was stunned for a moment, then nodded: ”Alright, have everyone gather; we may have an operation later.”

Alice nodded. She glanced at the man, who was also looking at her with a playful meaning in his eyes. But Alice remained indifferent, just closing the door as she walked away.

”That’s our Nightingale Squad Leader.” The captain of the Holy White Stone Guild explained to the other party.

The man nodded, but with a thought, he had already edited a message and sent it out:

”Follow that Nightingale and take a look.”

...

Alice walked down the tree house, lingered at the entrance for a moment, and couldn’t help but recall the previous matters in her mind:

”... What the Tree People called the Heart of Chongshan, is actually the Pure Crystal, deeply buried in the Central Stone within the mountains; if anything happens to it, the entire Nogness Region might become a forbidden zone for life.”

Time Reflection paused, ”I was with Captain Ade and them at the time, and the Tree People mistook me as one of them, that’s how I happened to hear these things. Captain Ade saved my life, I originally shouldn’t have disclosed these, but Miss Rainbow, you know Captain Ade and them...”

”Don’t worry, I just wanted to ask about their current situation seeing you with them,” Alice looked at the other, ”But I don’t want my personal affairs to affect the team, they are them, we are us, there’s no need to tell the captain about this.”

”I understand, but actually, Captain Ade and them are good people too,”

”That’s a separate matter.”

”Alright,” Time Reflection nodded, but then stopped her: ”Wait, by the way... please tell the captain not to trust those Twilight Guild people too much, what kind of alliance guild are they? They didn’t even save our people.”

She nodded.

Alice’s gaze quickly returned to reality, she turned back and looked in a direction — there a ranger from Twilight was hiding at the edge of the Forest, she could feel the other party’s gaze also looking in her direction.

She discreetly withdrew her gaze, turned around, and walked towards the camp. In her perception, the other party indeed followed her, she knew the other party should see her more clearly, people of Twilight being much higher level than them.

Thus, she carefully passed through the camp, sending messages to everyone one by one, telling them to gather at a nearby open space, as there might be an important task later. And while passing by a Rong Tree, a shadow extended from under Alice’s feet and blended into the trunk.

Unlike her sister who specialized in Shadow Dance, she was more adept in another direction — Eye of Forest, Night Owl. That shadow was the skill of Night Owl — Shadow Perception, a high-level Night Owl could leave dozens of Shadow Marks within a range of several kilometers. But of course, she couldn’t control such a vast range, but silently leaving one or two marks was more than enough.

The Rong groves happened to be at the edge of light and shadow, and she was confident the other party wouldn’t notice her small actions.
