Pillar of Yita

It was like a signal, prompting the Magic Guided Conductors and Elementalists to haphazardly throw out their spells, creating a dazzling array of lights in the clearing, while explosions of flashes almost merged into one in the forest.

The Gunslingers quickly began firing, raising plumes of white smoke on the position, which soon became filled with smoke.

Two rounds of concentrated strikes effectively suppressed the Chasers, allowing the Invokers escaping from the forest to safely cross the clearing and reach this side of the Thorn Frontline.

Those people were still in the dark, only repeatedly thanking the people within the line; after all, being rescued by so many people at once, besides being bewildered, left only a huge sense of gratitude in their hearts.

However, these two rounds of strikes left Fang Hong speechless.

Although he hadn’t been in this world for very long, he had experienced such large-scale combats—like the Long Summer Campaign at Tarun between the Rainbow Alliance and the Descendants of Flor.

Compared to the Invokers of the two major alliances, who were well-trained and well-equipped, the current people’s performance was somewhat headache-inducing.

The first two rounds of attacks are often very important in such large-scale battles; as long as the defending side can hold their nerve—it can inflict massive casualties on the opponent.

But the Crystalysis Beasts had just barely shown a head, and these people were already busy exposing their firepower readiness.

And those emerging Crystalysis Beasts weren’t even considered vanguards; next, as long as the Crystal isn’t foolish, it will definitely adjust its attack strategy.

Though Fang Hong wasn’t clear on how intelligent the Guardian was, it presumably wasn’t dumber than these people.

Thinking positively, the two rounds of attacks weren’t entirely useless; at least they successfully rescued the people, boosting everyone’s confidence.

At this moment, black dots started rising one after another from the position, flying towards the battlefield sky. The Combat Artisans had finally reacted, beginning to release reconnaissance Spies.

Fang Hong also signaled, letting the Silver Bee that just fell to the ground take flight again, instructing it to flap its wings in a slight semi-arc and fly towards the distant valley.

His control over the Clockwork Fairy had reached a masterful level; though not necessarily leading or forming a unique style, it reached top Invoker standards—if only in this domain.

Such people might be numerous in the Second World, but placed here, they were on a different level compared to their clumsy peers.

Few might notice the flight path of Fang Hong’s Clockwork Fairy—

But the Silver Bee had already, before anyone realized, outpaced and flown ahead of all the Combat Artisans’ Spies.

Its Dark Vision allowed it to scout with high efficiency in such an environment. Fang Hong placed a hand on his goggles, quickly spotting Disorderly Minions appearing in the forest.

Those ghostly blue shadows densely arrayed between the withered wood, forming an attack wave.

Fang Hong saw the hundreds of faint blue shadows, like ghostly flames, understanding that these were the real vanguard of the Crystalysis Beasts; the previous ones were just Scouts.

He commanded the Clockwork Fairy to continue flying forward.

At this time, other Combat Artisans’ Clockwork Fairies also arrived one by one, capturing information from the forest below:

”They are coming!”

”So many, at least a thousand!”

Voices shouting came from afar.

But still, Invokers appeared first along the forest’s edge, scattered ones driven out from the valley, organized in about a dozen teams of varying sizes.

Those who didn’t escape in time likely lost their lives there.

”At least a company and a half of the Holy White Stone people remain, with about twenty or thirty people from the Hydra side, and over twenty from the Twilight Guild, plus these Free Chosen Ones; a lot of people remain here.”

After arranging the positions of others, the Big Cat People stepped forward, speaking to him.

Fang Hong nodded. Eteliria’s full company was eighty people, so at least a hundred remained from the Holy White Stone side, and along with people from other guilds, indeed they had about that many.

This area was once a mining district, with several guilds stationed here to mine Primordial Crystal Stones. Besides miners, there were Guardians responsible for protection and transportation, so it’s not surprising so many people are left.

One could only say that perhaps more people died at that time.

This time, the Order Minions did not immediately launch an attack, allowing the Invokers to successfully escape and return to the defensive line.

A loud cheer erupted from the crowd, as if saving these people brought them tremendous confidence. But Fang Hong didn’t see it that way; the Crystalysis Beasts showed restraint, indicating the Crystals had adjusted their tactics.

This was not good news.

Though harboring such thoughts, he didn’t stop his hands; through the Clockwork Fairy’s vision, he marked each of the Disorderly Minions stationed in the forest.

He specifically marked the positions of each Disorderly Minion cluster closest to their side, sharing it through the team and public channels.

Tianlan and the others were calm, long accustomed to their Captain’s combat methods; without such clear battlefield information, they might be surprised.
