COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Suzune’s red pupils seemed to have made up her mind, “But if my injury is more serious...”

“....” Hachiman.

Although you want to be brave, he doesn’t want to see a completely injured Suzune.

If one is not handled properly, it may even lead to disability.

This is also the reason why Koenji was assigned the position of team leader during the exam on the island.

People like Koenji definitely know how to get hurt or sick without harming their body.

“I just counted your number. Kinoshita has already gone on the road and will not participate in this horse-riding battle. And you’re still participating, so self-inflicted injuries won’t do you much good....At the same time, both recorder and the cell phone worked, didn’t they?”

“Yeah, I have proof...”

’So, I prepared to take out my cell phone and recorder....’

“Then give the recorder to Kushida. It’s time for lunch now and Ryuen will come to see you soon....”

Suzune was a little confused, but she did it anyway.

Kushida was arranged to find Ryuen in advance.

“Why let Kushida-san do this kind of thing?” Because Hachiman directly asked Kushida to take recorder that was on her and give it to Ryuen.

”I plan to keep the identity of Kushida as Ryuen’s spy for a while longer. So we have to make sure he doesn’t realize that she is in league with us....”

Then just continue to play Ryuen.

“Horikita Suzune.”

At this moment, Chabashira suddenly came over and said calmly, ”Kinoshita from Class D complained to the school, saying that you deliberately tripped her during the competition, so she applied for arbitration from the Sudent council.”

“…”

Horikita Suzune was speechless.

’It came just as I was talking about it...’

Suzune is actually very kind, she won’t assume malice towards others. But Ryuen has been doing evil from the very start.

“Okay....” Chabashira sighed and said nothing more.

As a student of this school, she still understood that it might be Class D’s trick, and Suzune would not do such a thing.

However, the other party was obviously more despicable than her and reported it in advance.

Already got the upper hand.

Because people generally have preconceived ideas -

Because they are victims, file complaints.

Because I am the perpetrator, I dare not file a complaint.

But many times the opposite is true.

“So, how do you respond?”

”Of course, I will fight head on! And Chabashira-sensei, I also have to fulfill the agreement I made with you......”

That means class will be promoted after this sports meet.

Scores of the red and white teams now displayed in the center of the playground are as follows.

Red Group VS White Group.

4535 points V 4000 points

Total scores of the four classes in grade one.

Grade 1

Class A 590

Class B 530

Class C 567

Class D 589

In red-white confrontation, later team is very likely to lose.

So -200 points.

When the four classes compared their total scores, did not widen.

They were even a little weak overall, with Koenji giving up, Sudo running away, and Suzune injured.

So, how can we win? Unless there are people like Sudo to score points.

After all, there are only 4 recommended items left.

“Could it be that...” Chabashira suddenly had an idea.

“Go and confront them!” But Hachiman already ignored her, and paid his focus to Suzune, “Go and start important step of this sports festival!’

“Yeah.....”

Hachiman supported girl, who had an injured leg, all the way to the infirmary.

While helping Suzune walk, Hachiman suddenly remembered why another girl Hiyori asked him to carry her to the infirmary in the morning.

Maybe it’s because she was pretending to be injured, but after all, she was not injured, so had no experience in how to behave after being injured.

Something like this.

Horikita was supported, and a considerable part of her body was leaning over.

’By the way, does this count as hugging two girls in one day?’

Soon, 3 arrived at the infirmary.

“Oh, you’re here. Horikita Suzune!”

An uninvited guest stood at the door of infirmary, leaning against, opened his mouth calmly.

“Isn’t this injury quite serious? I am really impressed by you. You would actually use such a self-harming method to fight off the elite of our D class. Don’t you really want us to win?”

Ryuen Kakeru.

The absolute leader of Class D.

Even after experiencing several failures in a row, his leadership position remained unshakable....

Perhaps this was also because the NPC’s in Class D were easier to fool.

But his leadership ability is also unquestionable.

”...” Suzune.

”...” Hachiman.

The two looked at each other, and both knew that after having suffered, now was chance to reap the rewards.

However, Ryuen is very excited now, and Hachiman is thinking about the agreement that he will soon get 300 points worth of points from Ryuen and Class A.

’So I decided to have some fun with Ryuen, when I was in a good mood....’

“That’s enough, Ryuen!” Hachiman’s chest heaved, and his voice was low as if he was suppressing his anger, ”You’ve already won, what’s the point of saying this now? I finally understand why Shiina led me away at that time.”

“What do you mean by leading away? I don’t know anything about that.” Ryuen looked extremely confused, but his eyes betrayed nothing.

“Besides, Hikigaya Hachiman, don’t try to argue. You said I won? This can’t be called a win.” Ryuen sneered while pushing his head back at the door, “I didn’t expect that you, Class B, would use such a despicable method. Would you rather perish together than let Class D rise? Do you know that you can’t beat us, so you can only use such bad methods?”

“You are the least qualified to say such things!” Hachiman also counterattacked mercilessly.

“I’m here to look for Kinoshita-san....” Suzune took a deep breath and said coldly, “I want her to give me an explanation.”

“What kind of non-sense?” Ryuen frowned, but did not continue to block the door.

He said calmly, with arms crossed in defence, ”Then you can go in, but alone. Otherwise, I’m not sure if you will do anything to poor Kinoshita.”

Suzune felt sick at Ryuen’s attitude of being a victim, but she knew now was not the time to be stubborn.

All he could do was let Hachiman let her go, then limped into the infirmary.

“Ryuen, you are so useless.” Hachiman watched Suzune enter the infirmary and said very coldly, ”It’s okay for Sudo, but you actually used this method to deal with a girl like Horikita! Why? Are you trying to trick me?!”

Ryuen directly raised his head and sneered twice, ”How about taking out the recorder in your pocket before talking?”

“…”

Hachiman’s face changed and he seemed to be silent for a while, but he finally took out the recorder from his pocket.

“It’s a recorder, Hikigaya. You know how to use this, right? Give it to me....” When Ryuen saw the recorder in Sudo’s pocket today, he knew that Hachiman would definitely have it again.

Boy was speechless and threw the recorder to Ryuen.

“Tsk.” Ryuen turned off the recorder, played with it in his hand, and smacked his lips, “You’re really dirty, Hikigaya.”

“....” Hikigaya who smelt bad.

“You’ve already given your recorder to Sudo, taking it out again now. You must really want to record something....”

“…”

Hachiman felt even more troubled, but tried his best to not lose his cool, “You can’t even admit what you did, and you still say I’m dirty?”

“No way!” Ryuen smiled, as if he had returned to his previous state of planning and strategizing. ”How about taking out the other recorder hidden in your sleeve first, and then we can talk properly?”

“……!” Hachiman’s expression changed slightly, then returned to normal.

He sighed a lot and said, ”It seems that you have learned your lesson.”

”Of course, after all, I’ve been tricked by you so many times.” Ryuen nodded and said with emotion without any feelings of love behind.

’The voice recorder is hard to get, but Hikigaya is really a bitch.’

Hachiman again threw the recorder hidden in his sleeve over and asked coldly, “Why do you still want to attack Horikita? Are you heartbroken?”

Ryuen smiled and turned off the recorder again, “Hey, don’t make a mistake. It was your girlfriend who was hurt on purpose because she couldn’t outrun the students of mine. I admit that my previous method of dealing with Sudo was dishonorable. But this time, it’s your fault!”

“....kukuku!”

Hachiman no longer made any kind of meaningless denials about Suzune being misunderstood to be dating him.

“hahahha......” It was now Hachiman who let out a small evil laugh too, “I did it, and you don’t even dare to admit it?”

“You are even more shameless than I thought, Hikigaya, for saying cruel remarks about me!” Ryuen shook his head and sighed, trying to imitate his own opponent, “Don’t fight back. Kinoshita was seriously injured by you. I will definitely sue your Class B to the student council. Applying for arbitration is inevitable, so don’t struggle...At last, you have recorders on you and Sudo, so I guess Horikita has made preparations as well.”

“…”

Hachiman had a blank expression on his face, but his pupils were slightly dilated.

“Really....?”

The corners of his mouth turned up, revealing a smug smile.

’Actually, I feel lucky....’

Because just now Kushida came over to inform on someone, Horikita Suzune actually had a recorder hidden on her body.

If it were to be exposed, then Ryuen would be directly revealed as having framed someone.

But what a pity.

Suzune still trusted Kushida, and she was able to take the recorder from her, but now it had been destroyed by Ryuen before Hachiman and the others arrived.

Despite this, but Ryuen still admitted.

’This Hikigaya Hachiman is really very smart....However, I finally won in the end....Didn’t I?’
