COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Then, what do you want?”

There is no free lunch in the world, and once it seems to be free, it must be the most expensive. Just ask the students who were born in Class D.

They even have the scars to prove it!

As the Student council president of this school, Manabu is now standing at the pinnacle of all students. So, he

understands this bitter truth very well.

Therefore, if Sakayanagi doesn’t want a reward of 1 million, then what she wants must be something extraordinary!

In this way. He heard her sweet but enchanting voice, just like a deadly siren. ”I want to join the Student council!”

”...” Horikita learned. ”Well, judging from the fact that you have solved a huge problem this time, Sakayanagi Arisu, I recognize your efforts and allow you to join the Student council.”

The President expressed his stance, he  previously rejected Sakayanagi’s application, and directly ridiculed her in front of the students from Class C.

But now....

”No-no, President, you may have misunderstood” Sakayanagi didn’t change her expression even after getting his approval, instead revealed her cute dimples.

”What I’m saying is that I don’t want to become a secretary or accountant. Those are just petty jobs, not worth my time at all. So, I want to become the Student council president instead.”

“You little——” facing the declaration released by Sakayanagi Arisu, Manabu has not yet given a response, but the boy with short yellow hair who is paying attention can’t help it.

This is Nagumo, the vice president of the student council. ’Because this is my position as the future President!’

’As long as Horikita-senapi retires, I will be the only candidate to be promoted.’ He didn’t even pay attention to the black haired boy that was responsible for washing his clothes.

“....” Kiriyama.

But now, a first-grade elementary school girl appears halfway?

’Sakayanagi Arisu, she obviously looks weak and pitiful, so how come this little shit has such strong attack power?!’

’The position of Student council president is not some candy that can be snatched away at will! Nagumo wanted to complain about so many things, that he couldn’t even think about what to say first....

”As a student of Advanced Nurturing High School, having the goal of becoming the Student council president is a good ambition, but I think people also need to take a good look at their own abilities.”

”First year, Class A, Sakayanagi Arisu” Nagumo couldn’t help it, he really wanted to hit this little girl!

”...” Sakayanagi Arisu. ”I’m talking to the student council president. So, Nagumo-senpai, can you please stop interrupting casually?” She didn’t even look at him for more than a second and immediately turned her face away.

Um. An awkward but polite smile appeared on Nagumo’s face, but his fists were already clenched so tightly that his knuckles started turning white. ’It’s a shame, I can’t use violence at the moment! Otherwise I’ll smash her cane into pieces?!’

But Kiriyama, who knew his body quite well, understood that Nagumo was actually a little angry.

There is a big difference between his treatment of boys and girls.

’He will be more tolerant towards girls, especially the beautiful ones, but now, facing a super cute school girl, Nagumo is actually angry?’ Kiriyama found it quite surprising.

But, he also knew, that today after the school ends, Kiriyama would be the one to throw the tissues away.

Because. Now Sakayanagi probably... wants to steal Nagumo’s things.

She didn’t even hesitate to offend the vice-president, who’s responsible for wiping the entire 2nd grade’s butt.

’No, It would be better to say that she directly went to war against Nagumo’

Because, he has a high chance of being the next President, they directly became rivals.

”For becoming the President....” Manabu finally decided, it would be better to stop this old cat vs dog fight, before it goes any further, “What you want is my recommendation?”

”That’s more or less what I mean.” Sakayanagi nodded politely, and bowed her head a little, ”I am a student of this school, so of course I will abide by the rules created by them”

Generally speaking, becoming a student council president requires two conditions.

1. Candidate must be recommended by the former student council president.

2. During the voting held for the entire student body, the person with the most votes will become the President.

”...” Horikita pushed up his glasses.

”The school can give you 1 million as a reward for providing the test papers this time.” Manabu repeated his previous statement, but then his eyes turned cold, and stared at Sakayanagi from above, “But my quota to nominate the next Student council president cannot be given to you just like this.”

In other words, even if this school is based on strength, you can buy anything.

Then it is also possible to buy the qualifications of a candidate, being nominated for the next president

But the information given by Horikita Manabu is. One million is not enough!

It may have two meanings, first there is not enough money or it is a move in the hope that Sakayanagi will give up.

But, even when being rejected like this, the said girl’s expression did not change.

”Then I will ask for two things, 200 votes from second- and third-year students, including that quota you just mentioned. That’s the reward I want” And she chose to throw down the hammer instead.

”...” Horikita learned.

? ?

At this time, senior Tachibana and Kiriyama who were in the office also looked over.

’Because Horikita just said, your paper is worth 1 million, which is not enough money.’

’As a result, you turned around and opened your mouth even wider?!’

Not only are they trying to get the candidate’s status, but they’re even trying to get the upperclassmen’s votes directly!

As an old student of this school, they have gone through a lot of special examinations.

Among them, there are 142 third-year students left, but in the second-year, there are only 122.

So, the total number of seniors is only 264, and you, Sakayanagi Arisu, want to take away 200 votes?!

It’s simply too much. Unbelievable!

”Sakayanagi!” Although Nagumo had just been refused dialogue, he could not sit idly any longer, ”You have gone too far! Can’t you understand this simple fact that President Horikita has already rejected you?!” His mentality was about to explode.

“Of course I can tell.” Sakayanagi didn’t even look at his angry face, obviously not worth her time, and replied while facing air, “But my conditions haven’t changed.”

”It’s better to say that I’m not in good health, so it would be a pity that I came to the student council and didn’t take anything!”

“....But I’m only a first-year student after all. Life also needs people to be polite and not just arrogant” She said modestly, it was like Sakayanagi was asking for another candy.

’So, you, vice-president, Nagumo Miyabi, is obviously a bad guy here?!’ Arisu even thought, she was the victim here.

“So, the remuneration I want to receive has been reduced. Only 150 votes from the seniors are needed.”

”Then, there is also the ticket of standing as a candidate from President Horikita,” Sakayanagi started listing things, like she was reading a grocery checklist.

”No. It’s completely incomprehensible for you to say that!” At this time, Tachibana, who was following President Horikita, opened her mouth and retorted angrily.

Because this sweet but dangerous looking kouhai, was going too far!

It was already clear to the naked eyes that Sakayanagi’s confession was rejected, so why did she choose to keep increasing the price?

”Really?....But I think the President already understands.” Sakayanagi didn’t waver, in the slightest. She already knew, that from now on some powerful people will definitely go wild to hunt her down. ’What’s wrong with this year’s freshman?! One wants to capture Horikita-kun’s heart, and the other wants to steal his favourite chair?!’ Tachibana was complaining crazily in her heart.

Only then did everyone realize that Manabu had closed his eyes, as if he was engaged in some difficult mental battle.

”Sakayanagi, you are making a dangerous move.” He said, without opening his eyes, his voice sounded quite ominous, ”You will be hated by everyone. Especially the seniors.”

Getting hate of the upperclassmen, because, Sakayanagi wants their votes? It shouldn’t be like this.

Nagumo Miyabi led Class B to surpass Class A last year, even mastering the entire second-year.

The IQ is definitely not low.

”!” And now, he finally reacted. ’I just felt that this school girl has strong offensive power, and also wants to target the position of President that I have fancied for so long.’

Result. Still misjudged! Because.

’This girl’s attack power is off the charts!’ Although Sakayanagi was rejected by President Horikita, she decided to steal even more chips...

Then, the President became passive.

But can Sakayanagi continue to steal his chips?

Because the first-year student’s papers were leaked, the school decided to save their face and decided to change the papers.

But there is also a bottom line, cannot let so many students drop out of school at once.

So, the paper Sakayanagi brought was a big help. It can be used to satisfy everyone.

Although the school’s face is saved,

this is just a first grade test paper.

And now... what if it happens again at this time... the papers for second and third graders are also leaked? Fuck, fuck fuck...! This bitch!

”Sakayanagi, I advise you not to do such dangerous things!” When Nagumo realised what kind of mild she was drinking, he immediately yelled at her with a murderous intent on his face.

”Is it dangerous?” But Sakayanagi was quite calm, because her followers already raised their guard, and started to surround her protectively.

Kito was even ready to incinerate his enemy, using his infamous blue fire, that was rumoured to burn an entire forest of his hometown. Very deadly.

That’s why, Sakayanagi was quite relaxed, started dissing the upperclassmen, “...It is indeed quite dangerous, because the people in my class saw the senior students...stealing the school’s test papers in advance.”

“And after committing such a horrifying thing like stealing... they even dared to read it openly in the cafeteria, and other public places like the library” Somehow, her face  started to look even more brighter after saying these dangerous things casually.

“....” ’Where did I go wrong today?’

“....”

However, at this moment, the senior students seemed to have suffered a big loss.

Because everyone knows that no one steals the test papers, but only masters the rules of this school, so everyone takes advantage and obtains it on the basis of their hereditary rights. ’Now, are they going to be reported because of this?’

’Then, will the second and third graders also have to go through the first grade process again?’

The school would be forced to change the test questions. “....” Chairman.

“.....Could it be that you not only created papers for first-year students, but also for second- and third graders? Even though Nagumo, wanted to check his memories, to make sure if a cat had crossed his path today, he still asked Sakayanagi about this dangerous possibility.

Arisu said, she had more chips. Then, they must be inside her pocket.

’So, is this cute but very offensive loli repeating her old tricks and preparing papers for second- and third-grade students?’

Sakayanagi will frantically report that someone stole the papers, and then drag everyone into the mud. Play house with her.

But.

”Then you think highly of me” Sakayanagi decided to be humble, and became a good girl again, ”I don’t like wasting time.... so, I didn’t do this kind of meaning less thing”

“My bargaining chip is that if you agree with my conditions, I won’t report it. However, it is a pity that you chose to discard my report into the shredder again...” She even sighed heavily, obviously pretending to be disappointed.

”The incident of sophomores and juniors stealing test papers and reading them will be known to the entire school. ”

”Then, is there even a need to continue this farce. You already know what I mean, right?” Sakayanagi then raised her head slightly, and gazed over the people, standing in front of her.

To be honest, Hashimoto who didn’t even say a single word this whole time, was getting creeps from their princess’s silent behaviour.

It seems reasonable. There is even a hint of arrogance.

It’s just. To Nagumo. ’My sister! Go stick your head in the toilet?!’

Second and third graders were reported, and then the school was forced to change the test papers.

If so. ’Will a large number of people drop out of school?’ And there is no chance to save them.

There are only 3 days until the exam, and it’s not enough to produce a passable report, while at the same time also reducing the risk of students dropping out.

Papers. If students are reported and then informed for taking a ”different” test.

This is a headache for everyone, Especially the board of directors, their entire investment in those students will be drained in the gutter.

And such a risk... the Student council president wouldn’t dare to take it.

Nagumo could already see that Horikita-senpai had closed his eyes and was busy thinking worldly things.

This posture had been maintained for 5 minutes.

In other words, President Horikita had actually noticed Sakayanagi’s real purpose from the beginning. So, he is also troubled now.

“....” Nagumo. ’I thought Sakayanagi was just fooling around.’ And, now the President has made a decision.

”I can give you a hundred votes,” Manabu declared in a tired voice, he was really thinking a lot about this matter, “And among them, the second and third grade students are equally divided. ”

”That means each grade can give you 50 votes.” He said while looking straight into Sakayanagi’s orbs like pupils, that seemed ready to destroy its opponent the moment she set her eyes upon them, “The price is that you will no longer intervene in the special examinations for senior students.

”If you can’t do this, then I will resist to the end.” And these seem to be the result of careful consideration.

There would be no further conditions added to prevent Sakayanagi from intervening in the senior exams. Give her some candies.

Because if Sakayanagi didn’t get a taste of the sweetness in this exam, she will continue to interfere with the seniors.

’Isn’t it really a bad thing to take the exam for a student?’ Therefore, the seniors will treat this Kouhai as wool.’

And the conditions Horikita Manabu is now giving are just trying to appease the other party first.

There is nothing wrong with this treatment.

But. “President!” Nagumo looked over in panic, his ass started burning, feeling very hot ”We sophomores haven’t agreed to pay 50 votes. So I don’t agree with your solution!”

’Don’t you agree? Or you don’t want to give out 50 votes?’ Manabu had this thought, but he knew why Nagumo said this. But.

”Nagumo, do you think your class can pass the level perfectly when changing to B volume? Even if they can, what about the others?”

”You know, there are not many second-year students left. I suggest you be cautious” Manabu warned sternly, and if he’s saying this...then I’m afraid the school has reached it’s bottom line with the 2nd year students.

”...” This immediately made Nagumo silent. Because. There really are not many 2nd year students alive.

And This is the president deliberately naming him. Too many students of the same grade have passed the line.

In other words, is this a slap from the president? And 50 votes will also be taken away.

This kind of thing...

“....I thought about it carefully” Nagumo said. “Even if the exams are reported, we, sophomores will not give up because of this. My comrades are very tough.”

“We have our own exam-taking program.” In fact, this pathetic talk was just Nagumo trying to cover his ass, from getting even more burnt by the fire caused by Sakayanagi.

“That’s a pity.” That same arsonist muttered these words, while looking at the President’s face.

”...” Horikita Manabu. ”One hundred votes will be taken by us 3rd graders” but then he paused slightly to make them aware of what sacrifice he’s doing, ”And I will nominate you, too.”

”’Kay” Sakayanagi happily agreed to this deal, because don’t everyone love sweet things? Especially when taken from other people’s pockets? “I will not interfere with the senior’s exams again.”

Really? ’You won’t interfere anymore, which means you actually wanted to intervene!’ Kamuro-san complained in heart. Then the conditions of this constraint are really set correctly.

”But in this case, we are opponents Senior Nagumo stood up at this time after handing over the handkerchief to Kiriyama standing behind him, “My goal is also the Student council president. ”

“....” Tachibana. ’Is Nagumo-kun gay too? Do I need to raise my guard against him too?!’ She also narrowed her eyes at this new rival, wanting to scratch its face like an angry cat, defending her mate.

“That’s such an honor.” Arisu has already gotten the votes, so she was obviously in a good mood, ”But, I don’t think I will lose. ” She said with a nice looking smile, making people think this girl was very cute.

’Then you should go and check your eyes because it’s just an illusion!’ Kamuro-san was really on a roll today. She continued doing her personal attacks on Sakayanagi.

’You don’t think you will lose, but Nagumo instead ?’ Manabu sighed in his heart. ’That girl Kiryuin, Hikigaya and now Sakayanagi, these people.....why can’t they just be normal?’ He had already given up on Nagumo a long time ago.

After the deal was made, Sakayanagi held her cane and turned around. The students from Class A, just followed her quietly. Very impressive.

But Nagumo stared at Sakayanagi’s back, with repulsive eyes to a fault.

’Because, you, Sakayanagi Arisu, looked extremely pitiful like a Koala, very cute but can easily starve to death, obviously weak and helpless, but how could her attack power be so strong?’

However, he didn’t know that someone had already known that Sakayanagi Arisu’s attack power was extremely op, just tricked her into going to the student council.
