A Sect from a Spirit Vein

Chapter 87: Chapter 84: Honored Guest Elder

Early the next morning, Lu Qian once again appeared before Master Chi Yu. Looking at the Golden Core Master, who was still bare-chested and showing off his robust physique, he couldn’t help but twitch inwardly.

Hmm, indeed a mighty man.

”So, have you made up your mind?” Master Chi Yu, this time, was drinking tea instead of wine.

Lu Qian respectfully bowed and said, ”I am deeply grateful for the master’s thoughtfulness. I have made up my mind, and I choose the third option!”

Dong Chengjun’s breathing became rapid, and he wished he could rush over and slap him a few times. Heaven knows how much hardship and effort he went through back then to enter the sect, and this kid, not only considered but also gave up such a precious opportunity after thinking it over!

Ah, truly beyond hope!

Nonetheless, Master Chi Yu burst into laughter, ”I always saw that you’re a kid full of pride and ambition, and indeed, that’s the case. Hmm, the more I look at you, the more pleasing you seem. As it is, I will grant your wish.”

With that, he flicked his finger, and a flame shot out of the small courtyard.

”I’ll call for my disciple to come over, so you can get acquainted. From now on, she will be the Honored Guest Elder of your Yunshan Sect.”

Lu Qian waited quietly by the side, and after about ten breaths, a flash of spiritual pressure arrived with a cool female voice at the courtyard door: ”Master, I am here.”

A woman? Lu Qian was momentarily stunned.

”Come in quickly,” Master Chi Yu clapped his hands and laughed heartily, then turned to Lu Qian, saying, ”You kiddo, you’re in luck—this is my favorite disciple.”

However, Lu Qian noticed that Dong Chengjun, standing behind the master, had an extremely strange expression.

With a slight sound, the courtyard door was pushed open.

Lu Qian felt as though his eyes were dazzled; it was like a beauty emerged from within a blaze of fire.

She wore a striking gold and red narrow-sleeved dress, tall with an elegant figure. A sash hugged her slender waist, highlighting a graceful and perfect outline, and her hair was tied into a ponytail, revealing a beautiful fair neck.

A pair of phoenix eyes and willow-leaf eyebrows; her glances were enchanting. A delicate nose stood tall and her full red lips slightly upturned, as if freshly picked cherries, extremely alluring.

Indeed, her skin mirrored flowing clouds, unparalleled in beauty, unmatched on earth!

Lu Qian felt his heart skip half a beat and quickly averted his eyes, not daring to look further.

However, such a peerless beauty, alluring as peach and plum, had an expression as cold as frost and snow, commanding respect and awe.

Her gaze swept around the courtyard, and she walked straight to Master Chi Yu, bowing down: ”Greetings, Master.”

Master Chi Yu nodded and smiled, ”Nishang, let me introduce you. This is a descendant of an old friend of mine, named Lu Qian, from the Qingzhou Yunshan Sect—oh, not in Qingzhou anymore; just the Yunshan Sect Leader.”

Lu Qian collected his feelings of admiration and respectfully saluted, ”I am Lu Qian, greetings to Fairy Nishang.”

The woman only nodded slightly. Master Chi Yu then said to Lu Qian, ”She is my youngest true disciple, Guh Nishang, currently at Mid-Stage Foundation Establishment, yet her skills truly inherit my teachings, capable of taking down Late-Stage Foundation Establishment cultivators. So, are you satisfied?”

Guh Nishang was puzzled and furrowed her delicate brows. Lu Qian quickly said, ”If Fairy Guh is willing to condescend, it would be a blessing for our Yunshan Sect.”

Master Chi Yu laughed heartily, ”That would be good, then. Nishang, I have a task for you...”

Briefly, Master Chi Yu explained the reasons and consequences, finally summarizing: ”Therefore, I need you to temporarily leave the Danxia Sect, assuming the identity of a loose cultivator to serve as the Honored Guest Elder of the Yunshan Sect for ten years, assisting this Sect Leader Lu. Are you willing?”

”I am not willing.” Guh Nishang said bluntly, leaving Lu Qian momentarily shocked, ”What’s the point of being an Honored Guest Elder for a Qi Cultivation minor sect? I want to focus on breaking through to Late-Stage Foundation Establishment; I have no time for these games.”

Master Chi Yu smiled, ”Nishang, you are exceptionally talented, cultivating my personal teachings, the ’Golden Crow Grand Derivation True Technique,’ never lacking resources. Yet, why have you been stuck at Mid-Stage Foundation Establishment for thirty years without any progress, do you understand?”

Guh Nishang asked in confusion, ”Hasn’t Master explained many times? ’Golden Crow Grand Derivation True Technique’ requires vigor and progression in the early stages, but in the mid-stage, one needs to comprehend the principles of a Harmonious Balance of Strength and Softness, Yin and Yang Interdependence, High and Low Complement Each Other to continue breaking through.”

”Exactly,” Master Chi Yu patiently said, ”But you only understand the principles and cannot grasp them because your character is too stubborn and extreme, and you’re too cold and severe towards others. Such seclusion in the mountains means you’ll never understand, better to go out and see more, meet more people, encounter more situations, you might gain insight.”

Guh Nishang was contemplative, and Master Chi Yu laughed again, ”Lu Qian here is a clever one. Although the Yunshan Sect was destroyed, he with mere Qi Cultivation managed to gather remnants, crossing the state commandery to once again establish a foothold in an unfamiliar place. He indeed has some strategy. Helping him could allow you to learn the ways of the world from him, perhaps your chance for breakthrough lies in this. This is the opportunity I’ve arranged for you.”

Hearing this, Guh Nishang couldn’t help but glance more at Lu Qian.

And Lu Qian instantly realized, did Master Chi Yu intentionally omit the option of using resources to repay favors?

”Besides, currently, within our domain, peace reigns; you staying here would be quite dull.” Master Chi Yu leaned forward, with an animated expression, ”This kid wants to rebuild the sect, facing numerous difficulties and enemies; surely there will be many battles to fight.”

Instantly, Lu Qian seemed to see two flames igniting in Guh Nishang’s eyes.

”If that’s the case, Master, then I am willing to go.”

Lu Qian’s heart skipped a beat, is this Fairy Nishang a battle maniac?

Master Chi Yu nodded in satisfaction, ”When something needs doing, disciples should bear the toil. This is a favor I owe; you must be mindful and repay it well for me. From now on, you are temporarily leaving the Danxia Sect, only claiming to be a loose cultivator externally, not mentioning you are my disciple. You can return after ten years when the term ends, do you understand?”

Guh Nishang bowed and accepted the order.

Seeing Master Chi Yu lift the teacup, indicating the intent to send off guests, Lu Qian hurriedly said, ”With Fairy Guh willing to be an Honored Guest Elder, the Yunshan Sect is immensely grateful. Having the fairy’s addition, it’s like a dream come true. Just so happens, why don’t we sign the Honored Guest agreement before the master, any clauses unsatisfactory can be modified now, lest our small sect, ignorant of rules, inadvertently offend the fairy, leading to unpleasantness.”

Master Chi Yu heard and laughed heartily, ”Such a cunning one, truly cunning. Nishang, I told you, you must learn more from him; his meticulous thoughts far surpass yours; this is seizing the opportunity in front of me to settle things, avoiding future troubles.”

Lu Qian laughed sheepishly, handing over the contract revised throughout the night.

Yet Guh Nishang coldly chuckled, ”No need to sign, my agreement with Master means I’ll surely give my all to help you eliminate external threats, you needn’t worry.”

Lu Qian looked to Master Chi Yu for help, but the master leaned back against an ancient tree, smiling as if watching a play.
