Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Shadow of the Reaper (Purple)

Current material count:

Blood Crystals: 76

Fear Crystals: 92

Death Crystals: 48

Soul Crystals: 86

Seeing these materials, Serea decisively converted 50 Fear Crystals and 50 Soul Crystals.

The two types of crystals melted into a thick purple paste and a mass of blue phantom, and when these energies were injected into the Dark Main Altar, a swirl of black mist began to rise inside the altar.

1,004 points of dark power!

”Give me a ten-pull! I’ve got my eye on experience gems and the guaranteed prize!”

System: Drawing random rewards. Please wait.

Just like last time, dense black mist rose from the dilapidated altar, the newly converted dark power was absorbed by the altar, and in exchange, eleven black cards appeared.

”Reveal the rewards!”

System: Received Experience Gem (Tier 1) *1

System: Received Experience Gem (Tier 1) *1

System: ...

......

”As I thought, I knew it, better to accept my fate and take the guaranteed prize. It’s not bad if I can get another potion, too.”

Serea said optimistically. But just as she finished speaking, a card glowing faintly with purple light appeared in her sight.

”Wait!”

Serea didn’t let the system immediately flip the card, because this was the moment to decide her fate.

”Purple! Purple! System, I love you!”

System: Please refrain from sexually harassing the system. This system will not intervene in reward probabilities.

”Hehehe, anyway, my luck as a chosen one has been proven once again!”

Serea focused her gaze on that purple card.

”Flip it for me!”

System: Retrieving reward.

The card slowly flipped over, emitting a brilliant purple light, and on its face, the image of a ghostly purple phantom came into view.

System: Soul Altar reward.

”Soul Altar! Is it equipment?”

The card flipped again, the original ’?’ turning into the image of a piece of clothing.

System: Equipment reward.

”NICE!”

Realizing it was equipment, Serea shouted in excitement, not daring to take her eyes off it for even a second.

As the blue phantom pattern faded, a black cloak appeared on the card.

System: Received equipment—Shadow of the Reaper (Purple)

Catching the card, then seeing it transform into an ink-black cloak, Serea stared at the cloak and felt her vision blur slightly, as if something was interfering with her observation.

Shadow of the Reaper (Purple): Affects the perception of surrounding units toward the wearer, reducing detection probability by 20%. Effect is doubled in shadows or darkness. Comes with the skill, Phantom Veil.

Phantom Veil (Tier 3): Consumes mental energy to affect and block the perception of enemies within 20 meters. When mental energy is exhausted, upon attacking, or being attacked, the user automatically exits stealth. Skill cooldown: 10 seconds.

Reading the description of the equipment, Serea was stunned for a moment, then let out a shout.

”Holy crap, god-tier assassin equipment! Comes with concealment and stealth—if I give this to Little Black, he’ll be completely unbeatable!”

Stuffing away the gear, Serea beamed with a radiant smile.

”I knew it! Even though you always say no, you still help me out, system. You knew I was going to strengthen Little Black, didn’t you? That’s why you gave me purple equipment! What a tsundere and scheming little loli you are!”

System: ...

System: Please do not entertain unknown fantasies about the system.

”Words say one thing, but... I suppose it’s not too bad. At least you don’t erase me or take back rewards like other systems do. In a way, you’re actually pretty nice.”

Serea praised, but the system didn’t respond.

As a certain master once said—

’When you win, push forward; when you lose, shrink back.’ Only an idiot wouldn’t push their luck after a big win!

”Another ten-pull!”

With that, Serea converted 40 Death Crystals, 20 Soul Crystals, and 30 Fear Crystals, which she currently had little use for, into dark power.

Materials remaining:

Blood Crystals: 76

Fear Crystals: 12

Death Crystals: 8

Soul Crystals: 16

1,003 more points of dark power in one burst, and Serea chose another ten-pull.

Shush shush shush!

Eleven cards appeared in the Dark Main Altar. Serea shouted with full momentum,

”Flip them all!”

At this moment, Serea was emanating the radiant aura of a lucky chosen one!

......

Three minutes later, Serea exited the consciousness space and returned to reality. She glanced at the twenty Tier 1 Experience Gems and a bottle of Mental Energy Potion (Green, tier 1) in her hand.

She cursed loudly.

”Damned system!”

Fortunately, Serea’s cursing didn’t trigger an erasure penalty or anything like that, and the system couldn’t even be bothered to reply.

After venting, Serea felt her frustration dissipate a bit. Looking again at the black cloak in her hand, a trace of joy appeared on her face.

”But it was still worth it this time. Although I burned through a ton of materials, I did achieve what I set out to do.”

As she finished speaking, a jet-black skeletal monster walked in from outside the house.

It was Little Black entering the room. Once inside, his head was nearly level with the ceiling, making for a comical sight.

”At your command, my queen.”

Little Black knelt on one knee.

”Mm, that’s not necessary. I have something for you.”

Serea handed over a pouch of Experience Gems and the cloak, which Little Black respectfully accepted.

”Do you know how to use them?”

Hearing Serea’s question, Little Black paused for a moment before asking in return,

”Your Majesty, are you sure you wish to bestow such precious items upon me?”

”Yes. Only if you grow stronger can you serve me better. Take them.”

”Understood. This servant thanks Your Majesty for her grace.”

With that, Little Black stood up with the items, then immediately used the Experience Gems.

Twenty Experience Gems turned into a bundle of mysterious energy that surged into Little Black. Once the energy faded, Serea opened Little Black’s information panel.

Character: Little Black (Bone Warrior, Silver Elite)

Level: 18

Status: Loyal

Spirit: D+

Strength: A+

Agility: B

Endurance: B

Constitution: C

Charisma: E

Luck: E

Skills: Blade Rend (Tier 1), Arm Blade Thrust (Tier 1), Block & Counter, Fear Roar (Tier 2)

Description: Evolved from a Skeleton Warrior, now possessing greater destructive power.

”Overall, not much has changed, but with the level at 18 and the bonuses from ’Fear Roar’ and my purple equipment, facing enemies of level 20 or above shouldn’t be much of a problem.”

Serea gave her assessment, and overall, she was quite satisfied.

Then Little Black put on the ’Shadow of the Reaper’. The black cloak covered his entire body, and the hood concealed his face. The instant the cloak was donned, Serea felt her gaze towards Little Black become a little hazy.

It felt as if she was instinctively trying to overlook him, and without close observation, it was nearly impossible to tell he was undead.

This must be the enhanced concealment effect provided by the equipment.

”Activate Phantom Veil, let me see.”

To further test the equipment’s effect, Serea ordered Little Black to use the ’Phantom Veil’ skill.

As soon as she commanded, Little Black instantly blurred, and from Serea’s perspective, he perfectly blended into the environment.

That kind of visual and sensory concealment acted directly on Serea’s mind—it was almost like an illusion.

Truly deserving of being a Soul Altar equipment reward.
