Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Bloodstorm Serea Otto

Realizing that something was wrong, Serea lowered her head and the first thing that came into view was a platinum-colored fabric, partially blocking her vision.

”What is... going on?”

Serea couldn’t believe what was happening before her eyes, but in her previous life as a highly composed assassin, her exceptional mental fortitude allowed her to quickly calm down and confirm a fact.

”This isn’t my body, but...”

Halfway through her sentence, Serea covered her mouth.

Why has my voice become so delicate as well, could it be...!!!

From another perspective, a burly man looked at the young girl lying on the ground and gave a malicious grin.

”Heh, girl, don’t be scared.”

Speaking, he started taking off his shirt, but at that moment, the girl’s body suddenly tensed up in pain.

System: Bloodline awakening in progress, please wait...

At the same time as this prompt sounded, Lin Yun... No, now she should be called Bloodstorm Serea Otto, felt a stinging dryness and numbness in her throat.

”Ugh...”

She could not resist this feeling.

Watching the girl writhing on the ground, the man swallowed and then laughed, calling out to those outside.

”Guard the door! No matter how loud it gets, don’t come in.”

”Don’t worry, boss, we’ll keep watch for you.”

Hearing this, the man rubbed his hands together.

”Sweetheart, here I come!”

Saying this, the man lunged over, just as Serea’s bloodline awakening finished.

System: Vampire Queen (Blood Altar) Bloodline Awakened.

With the system prompt falling silent, the girl’s originally pale blue eyes turned blood red, and her skin became even fairer, giving a sickly yet beautiful appearance.

Seeing the man lunging at her, Serea tilted her head to dodge.

Take him out!

The existence of the man before her posed a threat, so he had to be eliminated!

Though her body was still weak, drawing upon her memories as an assassin in her previous life, the girl skillfully landed an elbow strike to the side of the man’s head.

The sudden blow to his head sent the man reeling. While he was still dazed, the girl turned and pulled out the short knife from the man’s waist.

One strike! Right into his chest!

”Ah!”

The man let out a horrible scream. At the same time, when the scarlet blood gushed out, the girl seemed to be called by instinct—she raised her hand.

Blood Absorption!

Her bloodline ability activated, drawing the man’s blood from the wound and gathering it in her palm. The girl had an innate attraction to blood.

Outside, the three henchmen heard noises from inside and sensed something was wrong. One got up to check.

But just as he did, another stopped him.

”Boss isn’t finished, what are you so nervous about?”

”Uh... But something’s happening in there.”

”If you want to taste the boss’s club, I don’t. Go if you want, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

”Well... Fine. What could a little girl possibly stir up?”

He sat back down, and the three continued to keep watch outside.

Inside, as she absorbed the blood, color returned to the girl’s once-pale face, and the dryness and numbness in her throat faded.

”What a wonderful feeling...”

System: Obtained one Blood Crystal (Material).

Outside, the three henchmen heard the shouting inside subside. They exchanged glances and began to smirk.

Now that the noise had stopped inside, did that mean it was almost their turn...

With that thought, they all gave each other a knowing look.

Inside the dilapidated house, Serea stood up. Having long been acquainted with death, the presence of the corpse did not faze her.

She examined her unfamiliar body by extending her palm. What met her eyes was a hand as delicate as fine agar.

Finally, using a broken mirror in the house, the girl got a good look at her current appearance.

Reflected in the mirror was a girl with crimson eyes and beautiful golden hair, a face of rare beauty; apart from being female, there was nothing to fault with this body.

”So it really is a woman’s body...”

Serea, or rather Lin Yun’s soul, thought to herself. As she pondered this, a surge of memories rose in her mind, belonging to the original owner of this body—Bloodstorm Serea Otto.

Within Serea’s memories, Lin Yun saw a magical world, the kind often seen in RPG games or ACG works.

In this world, there were mages, adventurers, and even dragons, elves, dwarves, and all sorts of magical races. Of course, the much ”detested” undead were also among them.

This world was fairly harmonious—at worst, one nation might exterminate another, or a race might be wiped out.

That was until the demon invasion that occurred every hundred years. Only then would all the races set aside their differences and unite against the demonrace.

Speaking of demon invasions, there had already been twelve so far, each time the races had fought for survival and narrowly prevailed.

Time passed to the present; magic and martial arts still flourished. As the second princess of the Otto Kingdom—the owner of this body, Bloodstorm Serea Otto—

Because the army of the Ailera Empire was gradually approaching Otto Kingdom’s capital, Oakenthor, she had been forced to become a hostage bride to the third prince of the Ailera Empire in exchange for peace between the kingdoms.

But today, the wedding convoy was ambushed. As the bride-to-be, she had been intercepted by an unknown man leading a group of mercenaries.

As a trainee swordswoman, Serea would not submit and chose to resist, escaping into the forest under the escort’s cover. Unexpectedly, the mercenaries, searching in separate groups, caught up to her and accidentally killed her during her resistance.

At the exact moment Serea died, she—Lin Yun’s soul—just happened to cross over and inherit Serea’s body, and for no apparent reason, became some ’Darkness Sovereign’, inheriting four strange altars with unknown purposes.

So, is this really not a dream?
