Capítulo 1160: Chapter 1160: Blood Charm Demon Cat

Sikong Jing looked at the situation before him and let out a soft sigh.

Finally, he had completely evaded the pursuit of the Emperor Martial Stage Spirit Shadow, even capturing a Spirit Shadow at the second Great Realm of the Emperor Martial Stage. The War General Spirit Shadow before him was no longer a threat in any situation.

This was all because Sikong Jing’s Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness had reached the Shadow Control Realm, but he had too many questions he wanted to ask.

Thus, Sikong Jing directly asked, “Just now, the Blood-colored Female Spirit Shadow said I’m the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger. You sensed the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger aura on me and that’s why you’re hunting me, right?”

If not for the Blood-colored Female Spirit Shadow saying the five words “Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger” at the end, Sikong Jing would have been more confused.

But when the voice fell, the War General Spirit Shadow remained motionless, not answering.

After furrowing his brow, Sikong Jing tried asking again, “Was the Blood-colored Female Spirit Shadow trying to take me back? Are you as well? Where would you be taking me? Did someone issue you some kind of order?”

The second question finally elicited some reaction from the War General Spirit Shadow; it extended a finger, pointing behind Sikong Jing.

Towards the direction away from the original Soul Snatching Battlefield where the Double-Horned Demon Tiger was located.

But that was all it did, as the War General Spirit Shadow did not respond to any other questions.

Clearly, it was completely devoid of spiritual wisdom, unable to answer anything beyond primal instincts.

This made Sikong Jing feel extremely frustrated and speechless; he had so many questions, and although the War General Spirit Shadow seemed to recognize his existence, it couldn’t resolve his confusion.

Finally, Sikong Jing sighed helplessly and asked, “If the Blood-colored Spirit Shadow wants to destroy me, would you destroy me if you couldn’t take me back?”

After asking, Sikong Jing stared hard at the War General Spirit Shadow…

Finally, he received a second response—a shake of the head from the War General Spirit Shadow, indicating it hadn’t received such orders.

Actually, the current War General Spirit Shadow was completely bewildered; the Double-Horned Demon Tiger wanted to take the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger back, but currently couldn’t, and it seemed this one was more of an ally than the Double-Horned Demon Tiger, more of its own kind.

Because the alleged Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger seemed stronger than the Double-Horned Demon Tiger, it could control his side of demon beasts.

The almost fully devoid of spiritual wisdom War General Spirit Shadow was on the brink of madness.

Instinct hadn’t told it what to do.

Sikong Jing became silent again, ultimately asking no more, but he quietly organized the current situation.

The so-called Soul Snatching Battlefield is a relic left by an ancient demon beast and Human Clan war, where the War General Spirit Shadow represents demon beasts, and Blood-colored Spirit Shadow represents the Human Clan, both trying to take him back upon sensing the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger aura he emitted.

If the Blood-colored Female Spirit Shadow couldn’t take him back, she would directly try to destroy him.

The War General Spirit Shadow didn’t want to destroy him…

“Which means, very likely, they’re acting under orders.”

“On both sides, demon beast and Human Clan, there must be a commander, a commander with spiritual wisdom.”

Thinking of this, Sikong Jing directly ran into the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison and asked the beasts a question.

Exactly: Could Spirit Shadows possibly have spiritual wisdom?

The answer was yes; if the realms of fierce beasts died, the Spirit Shadow could retain spiritual wisdom… but generally, it wouldn’t be retained—death is death, retaining spiritual wisdom would only cause more suffering.

Unless there’s unwillingness, unless there’s something extremely important that must be done to retain spiritual wisdom.

With the answer, Sikong Jing slowly withdrew from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison and looked at the War General Spirit Shadow before him.

“Certainly, both sides have a Spirit Shadow retaining spiritual wisdom, and for me, the demon beast side is more friendly.”

“Because they believe the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger is one of them.”

The strongest Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger in the world is locked in the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison, making it undoubtedly part of the demon beast side.

More importantly, the Blood-colored Female Spirit Shadow wants to destroy him.

Thinking of all this, Sikong Jing murmured, “The Old Monster Yin Henzi wants to acquire an Emperor Martial Stage Spirit Shadow, which is likely the Spirit Shadow commander of the Human Clan side with spiritual wisdom, what could it be?”

The Soul Snatching Battlefield, opened once every decade, always takes place on the Human Clan’s territory.

Er Yan said, according to ancient texts, this time that Spirit Shadow will awaken; what does the Human Clan’s Spirit Shadow commander want to do?

Of course, there’s no point in overthinking right now; everything is still a blur.

Thus, Sikong Jing again stared at the War General Spirit Shadow before him…

“The Soul Snatching Battle is still over a month away; if time allows, I will go with you to meet your commander.”

“For now, I can’t go, because my companions might be in danger.”

After speaking, Sikong Jing strode towards the Human Clan side of the battlefield.

Escaping for eight days, he didn’t know what happened to Ah Xie and the others, nor did he know how Weng Ting and Hua Meixi were doing, but encountering any disciples of the Wunian Saint Sect, meant almost certain death.

So Sikong Jing had to return; he couldn’t abandon his companions to verify the ethereal legends inside the Soul Snatching Battlefield.

Thus, he stepped back, and the surrounding beast shadows all submitted, because he exuded the aura of the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger, because he had just used the Beast Killing Array to defeat the enemy and control all the demon beast Spirit Shadows.

Therefore, the demon beast Spirit Shadows instinctively believed Sikong Jing was their powerful Fierce Beast commander.

And following Sikong Jing’s steps, the War General Spirit Shadow followed behind him, neither attacking nor leaving.

Its task was still to take Sikong Jing back; unless Sikong Jing returned to meet the Double-Horned Demon Tiger, it wouldn’t leave, but instinctively knew this was one of its own, unable to forcibly take him back anymore.

Aside from sticking close to Sikong Jing, it had no other instincts.

To this, Sikong Jing felt a bit speechless; having an Emperor Martial Stage Spirit Shadow inexplicably following him was odd no matter how you looked at it, but he couldn’t capture or blast it away, so he let it be.

Next, Sikong Jing pursued the fleeing demon beast Spirit Shadows on the Human Clan side, beginning to destroy and comprehend them.

The Beast-shaped Spirit Shadow in his Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness needed to be continuously strengthened…

Half a day later, feeling it was about enough, Sikong Jing once again used the Blood Devouring Dragon Pearl to accelerate and returned to the Soul Snatching Battlefield on the Human Clan side.

Yet the War General Spirit Shadow was still… shadowing him closely.

…

Upon the black giant mountain on the side of the ancient demon beasts, the Spirit Shadow of the Double-Horned Demon Tiger stood tall.

Looking into the distance, it spoke in a low voice, “The aura of the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger has appeared again in the Wild Beast Battlefield, among them also the Spirit Shadow subordinates of the Blood Charm Demon Cat, all of whom seem to have been destroyed.”

“The Blood Charm Demon Cat opens the battlefield once every ten years to lure the Human Clan in; what exactly does it want?”

Saying this, the Double-Horned Demon Tiger fell silent.

After a long time, it suddenly sighed deeply, “Oh, Black Demon Lord, the thing you wanted me to protect, I’ve always protected it; even in death, I’ve transformed into a Spirit Shadow to protect it. When will you come to retrieve it?”

“The Blood Charm Demon Cat is scheming something unknown, the aura of the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger has suddenly emerged, and I don’t know whether this Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger is a friend or foe. I’m truly afraid I won’t be able to protect it anymore.”

“Now, I can’t even awaken the second Emperor Martial Stage Spirit Shadow; I’m afraid if I wait any longer, I’ll vanish too, Black Demon Lord.”

Saying this, the voice of the Double-Horned Demon Tiger carried a slight pain, and it ultimately sighed deeply, calming down.
