Berserk God of War

Capítulo 1148: Chapter 1148: Nighttime Infiltration, the Elder’s Shadow

The conversation gradually fell into silence inside the Battle Castle.

Everyone sipped their wine quietly. Sikong Tian’s battle was truly magnificent, but they gradually realized the horror and cruelty of the Soul Snatching Battlefield concerning them. They wondered about the whereabouts of Miss Weng Ting.

The Mechanical Messenger Birds sent out had all their formations worn away by the Spiritual Shadows on the battlefield, rendering them useless.

Now they only knew Miss Weng Ting’s direction, but if they were to continue, they could only release more Mechanical Messenger Birds, which would carry risks if enemies were to track them down…

Even if they found Miss Weng Ting, so what then? Where were the other three geniuses of East Dominator?

They likely weren’t with Miss Weng Ting either.

How many of the other Weng Family members were still alive?

Everyone present, in these three days, had experienced near-death encounters even if not as earth-shattering as Ah Xie.

Suddenly, someone whispered, “Do you think we have a chance to return alive?”

Everyone shivered slightly; the wind inside the Battle Castle was cold, and no one replied.

Eventually, it was Ah Xie who spoke up: “With Sikong Tian here, we have hope. Let’s not overthink things. We will endure day by day, and now we wait for Sikong Tian to leave seclusion.”

Ah Xie was different from the others; he had followed Sikong Jing through battles and even personally took down Chen Er. He had confidence in Sikong Jing.

Hearing his words, everyone regained a bit of faith.

Sikong Jing was their pillar of strength. He was someone who defeated a female disciple of the Wunian Saint Sect!

Dusk fell quickly…

On the Soul Snatching Battlefield, there was also a distinction between day and night; during the day, the earth was dim, and at night, it was pitch black.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing’s voice came from inside the Battle Castle: “Release the Messenger Birds, and then we continue our journey.”

Upon hearing this, a dozen people stood up simultaneously.

By the light of the campfire inside the Battle Castle, they saw Sikong Jing walking out slowly.

They surrounded him one by one, and Ah Xie asked unexpectedly: “Sikong Tian, are we departing now?”

Now the entire Soul Snatching Battlefield was terrifyingly dark, and the Spiritual Shadows outside emerged endlessly—it was extremely dangerous, wasn’t it?

“Setting off in darkness is most advantageous for us.”

“Isn’t your Weng Family’s cultivation technique and martial skills infused with heartless assassin elements?”

Sikong Jing looked at everyone and explained the reason for setting out now.

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded slightly. It was said the ancestor of their family was a terrifying assassin, nicknamed Weng.

Later, he washed his hands of the murderous life and established the Weng Family, rooting in East Spirit City.

Sikong Jing learned this while treating Weng Yinko, and naturally, assassins had the greatest advantage when lurking in darkness. He continued: “As for the Spiritual Shadows, leave them to me.”

Hearing this, everyone exchanged looks, recalling Ah Xie’s words that Sikong Tian once dispersed thousands of Spiritual Shadows with just a roar.

Finally, everyone no longer hesitated, saluted, put on their bamboo hats, and readied themselves to set off.

At this moment, Ah Xiang curiously asked: “Sikong Tian, has your injury healed?”

The members of the Weng Family looked at Sikong Jing simultaneously upon hearing this. He smiled and said: “It’s still far from complete recovery, so we will move at night and rest during the day.”

Although Sikong Jing was the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, such a severe injury wasn’t quick to heal.

According to his estimation, it would take ten days to half a month for full recovery, but currently, he feared no one except disciples of the Wunian Saint Sect or Pei Fenyi.

With that, everyone stopped talking, extinguished the campfire, and set off.

At this time, Sikong Jing also donned a bamboo hat, took Ah Xiang’s hammer in hand, and said: “Ah Xiang, I need to borrow your hammer for a while longer. After seeing if there’s any need for a hammer on the battlefield, I’ll return it.”

Of course, Ah Xiang had no problems with this.

As for why Sikong Jing continued to hold onto the hammer, it was because he planned to multitask and refine the meridians of the Black Prison Devouring Sky Tiger while lurking in the night, continuing to develop the Beast Skill Black Prison Devouring Sky Hammer.

As long as there’s a breakthrough, his injury would heal faster.

In the completely dark night, a dozen figures wearing bamboo hats sneaked through the terrifying world of the Soul Snatching Battlefield.

They followed the direction of the Mechanical Messenger Birds, stepping forward every step of the way…

But within just an hour, the Mechanical Messenger Bird ahead was smashed into pieces.

Just at this moment, a low voice in the darkness said: “A bunch of fools from the Weng Family, moving in the night and releasing Mechanical Messenger Birds to draw attention, you’re asking for death.”

Upon hearing this, everyone from the Weng Family shivered and immediately looked to Sikong Jing.

Holding the hammer while cultivating, Sikong Jing slowly opened his eyes and whispered: “There are dozens of people around, fifteen at the Spiritual Battle Realm level, including members from various forces… leading them should be people from the Zhengling Sect.”

Even in the dark, Sikong Jing immediately assessed the situation around.

Because of Sikong Jing’s terrifying senses and because the opposition intended to kill the dozen members of the Weng Family, they revealed their presence.

Therefore, Sikong Jing whispered again: “I learned some of your family’s cultivation techniques from Weng Family Master, and I happen to know some assassin skills. In the coming days, I’ll suggest some things to each of you…”

“For now, show me your full strength and kill all the enemies in the darkness.”

“Go all out, with me here!”

Upon hearing Sikong Jing’s words, the dozen Weng Family members exchanged looks, then accepted the command in whispers.

Butchery in the darkness suddenly erupted. The dozen Weng Family members were certainly not a match for dozens, but they had Sikong Jing as their backup, charging forward fearlessly.

After an entire hour, only a bloody atmosphere remained around, all enemies slain.

The members of the Weng Family suffered only minor injuries, essentially unharmed, because whenever danger arose, Sikong Jing would appear around them like a shadow, saving them.

“Continue forward, no need to release Messenger Birds for now.”

“As for my suggestions, I’ll sort some information for your cultivation reference tomorrow morning during rest.”

Following Sikong Jing’s words, after collecting the enemies’ treasures from the surroundings, everyone continued in the direction of the earlier Messenger Birds.

Dawn arrived, finding a secluded place to rest…

Afterward, Sikong Jing spent an hour giving them explanations and analyses, integrating assassin attributes of demon beast skills such as Shadow Moon Rat into the Weng Family’s martial skills…

After finishing the explanations and instructing them to cultivate properly, Sikong Jing continued to heal in seclusion.

Half a month later, it was still night…

A team of dozens marched like phantoms through the dilapidated land of the Soul Snatching Battlefield, all wearing bamboo hats, remaining members of the Weng Family.

Leading them, holding a heavy hammer, was Sikong Jing.

Over half a month, they found more members of the Weng Family, and now the team comprised over sixty members, gathering plenty of treasures from various forces.

Throughout the journey, each of them held at least a dozen enemy lives in their hands.
