Berserk God of War

Chapter 1085: Chapter 1085: Another Major Merit

The confidant smugly internalized the thought, adding silently, “Soon you’ll receive Weng Ting’s message saying Sikong Jing has arrived late, and you’ll never be able to find him again.”

The confidant was very pleased; having hidden within the East Dominator Branch for so many years, he had finally become Duanmu Chun’s most trusted person.

Killing Sikong Jing was just a minor showcase, with more thrilling events yet to come, such as tricking and killing a couple of Dominators.

The thought filled the confidant with eager anticipation.

Of course, Duanmu Chun was unaware of what his trusted hand was thinking.

He gently nodded and slowly said, “It seems I’ve been a bit paranoid. The Shiyu Commerce’s strength in Hanluan City is inferior to our East Dominator Branch; they wouldn’t dare retaliate directly.”

As soon as he finished speaking, whoosh…

A mechanical messenger bird suddenly landed in Duanmu Chun’s hand.

Seeing the marking on the bird’s foot, Duanmu Chun was slightly stunned; wasn’t this Yang Yi’s?

How could he communicate with me from within the Soul Dominator Secret Realm?

Duanmu Chun didn’t overthink but opened the letter, and his face gradually became ashen, fists clenched tightly.

The confidant noticed and quickly asked, “Boss, is it another captain in trouble?”

He hadn’t noticed the small Sky Wolf mark on the messenger bird’s foot and thus casually asked, maliciously thinking another captain in the East Dominator Branch was in big trouble, damn, that’s satisfying.

Yet, in the next moment, Duanmu Chun slowly turned his head and stared severely at the confidant.

As the latter looked puzzled, Duanmu Chun softly asked again, “You just said Hua Meixi left Hanluan City escorted by Yao Bajue, heading toward Old Man Spirit Manor, right?”

“Yes, Great Dominator.” The confidant didn’t understand why Duanmu Chun suddenly asked this.

But he felt an ominous premonition, thinking it impossible, no captain could know his true identity.

Duanmu Chun nodded and then further instructed, “Hmm, immediately send a message to Yao Bajue.”

“Saying Sikong Jing was attacked by Shi’an Group’s killers from Shiyu Commerce at the outskirts of Hanluan City, exactly two Spirit Martial Stage Peak Shi’an killers, hurry to rescue.”

Upon hearing this, the confidant’s eyes widened in shock, thinking: How does Duanmu Chun know?

“And also, send a message to Pei Feishan saying… the first assassination of Sikong Jing failed, we need to initiate another round.”

With Duanmu Chun’s second statement, the confidant looked up in puzzlement, “Huh?”

Before he could react, a murderous aura exploded from Duanmu Chun’s eyes, fiercely pressing upon the confidant, as he roared again, “Include in the message that you’ve been exposed.”

Thud…

With this statement, the confidant finally realized, kneeling with a thud.

At this moment, the confidant’s mind buzzed and hummed; in a quivering voice, he said, “Boss, what were you just saying?”

He stared fixedly at the messenger bird in Duanmu Chun’s hand, damn, which captain sent this?

Seeing this, Duanmu Chun directly tossed the messenger bird into the confidant’s arms, coldly saying, “This was sent by Sikong Jing, given to him by Yang Yi’s messenger bird, now do you understand?”

“Sikong Jing said in the message that he didn’t tell anyone about going to Old Man Spirit Manor, yet he was ambushed.”

“Meaning, besides me, Weng Ting, and Yao Yulou, only you know. You’re really impressive!”

Hearing this, the confidant felt icy cold to the bone.

Furiously cursing Sikong Jing inwardly, I had finally become Duanmu Chun’s confidant, only to have you ruin everything… At the same time, he said externally, “I didn’t; maybe Weng Ting or Yao Bajue told someone.”

He desperately tried to grab onto a lifeline.

But Duanmu Chun coldly laughed, resolute, “They wouldn’t!”

With that, Duanmu Chun directly struck the confidant with a palm, crushing his storage treasure into fragments, indeed finding traces and tools for communicating with Shiyu Commerce within.

Instantly, Duanmu Chun’s anger peaked, directly blasting the confidant dead.

So enraged, he struck with terrifying force.

Di Geng, sensing this, hurried over, and upon seeing the confidant dead on the ground, was utterly shocked; wasn’t this the person Duanmu Chun had recently trusted immensely?

Looking at the raging Duanmu Chun, Di Geng quickly asked what was going on?

Duanmu Chun didn’t explain much, instead waving his hand, “Chop off his head and send it to Pei Feishan, go.”

His voice suddenly sounded extremely fatigued.

Di Geng’s eyes flashed with coldness, sending the head to Pei Feishan…

Needless to ask, Duanmu Chun’s confidant was definitely a spy from Shiyu Commerce, Di Geng quickly complimented, “Boss, you’re powerful and domineering, easily spotting Shiyu Commerce’s spy.”

Duanmu Chun coldly glanced at him, then urged him to quickly handle the task.

After Di Geng dragged away the corpse, Duanmu Chun swiftly messaged Yao Yulou, who was protecting Hua Meixi, urging him to quickly reach Sikong Jing’s location and eliminate two Shiyu killers.

Done with that, Duanmu Chun rubbed his aching head, muttering, “Who the hell can I trust?”

Di Geng couldn’t be trusted, the confidant was still an agent from Shiyu Commerce, now Duanmu Chun felt a pervasive chill.

After a long while, he muttered, “Sikong Jing has made another significant contribution!”

If not for Sikong Jing’s sudden message, Duanmu Chun wouldn’t know there was such a hidden Shiyu spy around him, nor fathom what kind of horrific situation might ensue in the future.

“No, I must personally head to Old Man Spirit Manor quickly; perhaps Pei Feishan will act recklessly.”

Thinking of this, Duanmu Chun directly vanished from the Supreme Dominance Decision Building, undertaking this operation without telling anyone.

…

At noon, Sikong Jing still flew low on the Iron Bone Flying Vulture,

And at this moment, his eyes flashed with coldness, muttering, “Caught up already, the killers are moving too fast, I’m afraid Duanmu Chun might not arrive in time, it seems I’ll have to handle this myself.”

Thinking so, Sikong Jing immediately cut the flesh on Iron Bone Flying Vulture’s back again, for the second time burrowing inside.

Simultaneously, he threw a treasure for acceleration to the Iron Bone Flying Vulture.

The reason Sikong Jing could discover the two killers arriving again wasn’t due to his perception, but rather the Little Demon Beast behind him sending the message, thus he had ample time.

So when the two killers appeared above Iron Bone Flying Vulture, they entirely failed to locate Sikong Jing.

And of course, they didn’t notice the stitched-up back of the Iron Bone Flying Vulture.

They blocked the Iron Bone Flying Vulture fiercely, eyes coldly assessing it.

Iron Bone Flying Vulture asked in terror, “Do you two have any more business? I’m just a little demon beast of the Martial Battle Realm, please don’t kill me.”

At this moment, the two killers’ faces turned ashen, having searched from night to noon but still failing to find Sikong Jing, they finally realized that the Iron Bone Flying Vulture might be unusual, so they chased it down.
