Chapter 1074: Chapter 1074: Great Dominator Technique, We’re Not Close

Sikong Jing’s actions are truly deadly.

If Grandpa Wan San was handed over to me, this situation wouldn’t have occurred; at least it wouldn’t have embarrassed Yang Zhi so much.

Seeing Duanmu Chun about to curse, Sikong Jing’s expression gradually turned cold and stern. Suddenly, he smiled and replied, “I would like to ask Great Dominator, if Grandpa Wan San were handed over to you, would Wan Tonghui’s apparent crime be the kidnapping of Aunt Jiang?”

Duanmu Chun replied without even thinking: “Of course not, but Yang Zhi would definitely hand him over to Yao Bajue for disposal.”

As long as I have Grandpa Wan San as concrete evidence, it would be easy for me to act.

On the surface, I’d give face to Yang Zhi by not undermining him, while secretly facilitating Yao Yulou’s revenge—it would be perfect.

But thanks to Sikong Jing causing a scene, everything is messed up, and Yang Zhi must now be harboring resentment against me.

God knows what he will do next, or if he’ll even announce the secession from the East Dominator Branch…

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing shrugged and said, “Great Dominator, I’m not familiar with you, so how would I know that once you get Grandpa Wan San as evidence, you wouldn’t just silence him, leaving Wan Tonghui to live freely?”

With these words, Duanmu Chun’s eyes widened, and he roared angrily, “How could I…”

But he abruptly stopped, realizing that from Sikong Jing’s position, this worry was valid.

Sikong Jing indeed couldn’t determine whether he was siding with Yang Zhi or Yao Yulou.

Seeing Duanmu Chun at a loss for words, Sikong Jing continued: “Even if you couldn’t silence Grandpa Wan San…”

“But what about Li Feng? Or Di Geng? If I’m not mistaken, Great Dominator, you at least trust Di Geng. If he were to erase Grandpa Wan San secretly and claim he suddenly died, what could you do?”

“Wouldn’t the evidence be destroyed, and wouldn’t Wan Tonghui and Yang Zhi be delighted?”

Duanmu Chun’s gaze became fixed again…

“All I know is Li Feng wants to destroy the Sky Wolf Team, wishing all of us would die.”

“And I also know that although Di Geng outwardly supports the Sky Wolf Team, deep down he despises us. If it involves Yang Zhi’s interests and reputation or if Yang Zhi offers him benefits, he would not hesitate to destroy the Sky Wolf Team.”

“Then who will stand up for Aunt Jiang? Who will speak a word of justice for the Sky Wolf Team?”

“Great Dominator, will you?”

Every word from Sikong Jing was clearly heard by Duanmu Chun.

Just then, the East Dominator Courtyard arrived, and under Sikong Jing’s control, the Iron Bone Flying Vulture landed on the terrace of the Supreme Dominance Decision Building.

Yet the two still did not leave the back of the Iron Bone Flying Vulture; they simply looked at each other quietly.

In this moment, Duanmu Chun kept questioning himself internally: if it came down to choosing between Wan Tonghui and the Sky Wolf Team, wouldn’t he directly side with the Sky Wolf Team… The answer was: yes!

Then questioning himself further, if it was Yang Zhi versus the Sky Wolf Team, would he choose the latter… The answer was: no!

Regarding the East Dominator’s teams, even if the Sky Wolf Team is made up of non-combatants, Duanmu Chun considered himself able to at least ensure fairness, but with the situation involving a major power like Yang Zhi, it was impossible.

One would naturally prioritize Yang Zhi and the Yang Family’s situation.

Seeing Duanmu Chun’s eyes flickering, Sikong Jing laughed again…

“Great Dominator, have you found your answer?”

“So, standing in my position, I can only ensure the evidence is in my own hands, ensure the culprits are dealt with, and ensure no one has the opportunity to secretly save Wan Tonghui…”

Hearing this, Duanmu Chun took a deep breath, just about to speak…

But Sikong Jing interrupted his intention to speak and continued: “As for the East Dominator Branch’s interests, I’m just a small figure and can’t consider them.”

Instantly, Duanmu Chun’s voice stuck in his throat.

He just wanted to say, you only consider yourself; you must consider the East Dominator Branch’s interests and unity.

But Sikong Jing’s words blocked him utterly.

“Of course, if I were the Great Dominator, I wouldn’t let Yang Zhi have his way either. The resolution would be the same: if he’s displeased, he’ll just have to endure it, and if he tries to cross the line, then eliminate him!”

Sikong Jing spoke resolutely, his eyes filled with coldness and determination.

Through this incident, he gained some understanding of Duanmu Chun…

Just as Yao Yuzhi said, Duanmu Chun is somewhat timid but a good person, while Sikong Jing felt Duanmu Chun lacked decisiveness, always trying to handle various relationships smoothly as the Great Dominator.

Too lenient with Yang Zhi or Li Feng and others.

At this moment, Duanmu Chun’s slightly angry expression suddenly disappeared, and he looked somewhat dazed.

Sikong Jing slowly added: “Actually, Great Dominator, there’s a personal reason for what I’m doing: I’m more familiar with Aunt Jiang, and I’d say I’m friends with Captain Hua, so if I don’t help them, who will?”

“I have a grudge against Wan Tonghui, and if I don’t take this opportunity to destroy him, when will I ever do it?”

“Keeping Wan Tonghui alive would be an endless trouble.”

“So, if I were more familiar with you, Great Dominator, I might consider your feelings.”

Hearing the last sentence, Duanmu Chun sighed silently. Sikong Jing’s words were spot-on. The main reason was that he wasn’t familiar with him at all, and he felt no sense of belonging to the East Dominator Branch.

“For instance, if Ba Lie Venerable questions my innocence, all you need to do, Great Dominator, is firmly say the truth and declare me innocent… and maybe then I’d consider your feelings in this matter.”

After speaking, Sikong Jing looked deeply at Duanmu Chun.

The latter was immensely shaken, silently smiling bitterly… He never truly helped Sikong Jing, so how could Sikong Jing consider him?

Shaking his head, Duanmu Chun immediately dismissed the thought, still believing he needed to consider the bigger picture.

Offering full support to a newcomer like Sikong Jing was out of the question… so, Duanmu Chun changed the subject, saying, “Wan Tonghui is dead now, but your trouble seems even greater. Was it truly worth it?”

If Sikong Jing had just rescued Jiang Wanyou and then left, it would not have led to so many troubles.

He could have returned home to receive the credit for slaying Pei Fenqing, and wouldn’t that have been delightful?

Now, he wouldn’t have offended Yang Zhi so badly.

Hearing this, Sikong Jing took a deep breath: “A man of character acts without regret, doing what must be done and refraining from what must not be done!”

“The trouble is greater, but I don’t regret it… because Aunt Jiang is a benefactor to Captain Yang and the others. To put it more beneficially, though I’ve caused trouble, I’ve also received Yao Bajue’s gratitude.”

“More importantly, if I waver, my Martial Arts will only stagnate.”

“They say in the Jianghu, one seeks the path, not the heart. But I only ask for my heart, and I will not change it, even in death!”

At this, Sikong Jing said no more, having said enough.

Thus, he cupped his fists and asked, “Great Dominator, may I go back to rest now?”

Duanmu Chun gazed deeply at Sikong Jing, with those last words resounding in his mind.

All of a sudden, Duanmu Chun realized that at some point, he had gradually been considering too much and had gradually forgotten his original intentions.

If he were in the same situation decades ago, he might have directly handed Wan Tonghui over to Yao Yulou, instead of worrying about Yang Zhi’s situation, right?
