Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 151: Chapter 123: The Northern Territory Changes Hands, the Limitations of the Breathing Technique

But Roy had blocked the strike simply by raising his Fighting Qi·Destruction Sword with a single hand.

More importantly, no matter how much force he exerted, he couldn’t push the silver-white Fighting Qi·Destruction Sword down.

Though loath to admit defeat, the Ironblood Duke didn’t hesitate, retreating decisively.

Roy did not pursue the Ironblood Duke, letting him retreat ten to twenty meters.

Once the Ironblood Duke had steadied himself, Roy continued, ”James only managed to block two of my attacks before I took his head.”

”You’re his Lord, and a Silver Great Knight besides. I hope you can last a few more attacks than he did.”

Despite his words, he had no intention of letting the Ironblood Duke live for long.

’One move to decide it all!’

He prepared to finish off the Ironblood Duke in a single blow!

Before the Ironblood Duke had initiated his attack, Roy hadn’t been certain he could take him down in a single blow.

But after witnessing the Duke’s explosive speed and experiencing his power firsthand, Roy was now absolutely certain he could finish the Ironblood Duke in a single blow.

The Ironblood Duke remained silent, his expression grim as he watched Roy.

Without any hesitation, Roy decisively activated the Heart of the Thunder Beast.

As the Heart of the Thunder Beast activated, his heart began to generate a special electrical current that dramatically energized his body, making his already formidable physical attributes even more terrifying.

At the same time, he unleashed the special current produced by the Heart of the Thunder Beast.

Silver-White Lightning materialized from nothing, coiling around his body and his Fighting Qi·Destruction Sword like living electric serpents.

’What is this Secret Technique?’

Seeing the Silver-White Lightning on Roy, the Ironblood Duke and his men all wore expressions of shock.

Although they hadn’t personally witnessed Roy fighting five men at once in Rock Lion Castle, they had heard rumors. They knew Roy had used a Secret Technique that turned his silver-white Fighting Qi blood-red and massively boosted his strength.

The Ironblood Duke hadn’t personally gone to Yorkshire to reclaim his honor precisely because he feared this Secret Technique could also greatly enhance the Dark Night Knight’s power.

Of course, besides the Secret Technique that changed the color of one’s Fighting Qi, he was also wary of the Dragon’s Battle Roar and Frost Slash.

He didn’t know the names of Dragon’s Battle Roar and Frost Slash.

But he knew both Secret Techniques were extremely troublesome.

Seeing the Silver-White Lightning coiling around Roy, the Ironblood Duke decided to stop holding back. He began to circulate the Bloodthirsty Tree Spirit Fighting Qi in his body at maximum speed, preparing to use his trump card for a final showdown with Roy.

Just then, he saw a silver-white flash of lightning streak past.

The Bloodthirsty Tree Spirit Fighting Qi in the Ironblood Duke’s body ceased to circulate, and his vision began to spin wildly.

He saw the inverted night sky and the ground, the spinning castle and the crowd. He saw his own headless body standing motionless like a statue, and he saw Roy, who had somehow appeared right beside it.

’I’ve been beheaded?’

After tumbling a dozen times in the air, the Ironblood Duke’s head crashed onto the plaza, and with it, his final thought came to an abrupt end.

Like the Ironblood Duke’s headless body, everyone else was frozen in place, their faces etched with disbelief.

Even though they were right there on the scene, all they had seen was a fleeting flash of silver light.

Then, Roy, who had been standing in front of the Ironblood Duke, was suddenly at his side.

’It’s over.’

Roy paid no mind to the others’ shock. He reflected internally for a moment and gave the technique he’d just used a name.

’Thunder Beast Flash!’

From the perspective of the onlookers, he had just killed the Ironblood Duke with an incredibly bizarre technique.

But from his point of view, there was nothing particularly special about the move he had just used.

All he had done was infuse his Fighting Qi into his legs after his body was fully energized. Then, he had unleashed his maximum speed, closing in on the Ironblood Duke at a velocity that the naked eye could not follow. Finally, he used his Fighting Qi·Destruction Sword to take the Ironblood Duke’s head.

Simply put, he closed the distance with extreme speed and then swung his sword for the decapitation.

Although the principle wasn’t complex, that didn’t mean the technique was simple to execute.

In martial arts, no defense is impenetrable; only speed is unbeatable.

This was a classic quote from a certain listless, bald old man who wished to remain anonymous, known only as the ”Ultimate Killing King.”

When one’s speed reaches a certain point, even the most ordinary of moves can unleash astonishing power.

Roy swept his gaze over the crowd and said in an ice-cold tone, ”Kill everyone in this castle with the name Reilia, and I will let you live!”

The moment he finished speaking, a Black Iron Great Knight from the Personal Guard drew the Cross Sword at his waist and charged toward the Ironblood Duke’s eldest son, Alex.

After the first, a second soon followed, then a third...

Within seconds, the members of the Reilly Clan were under frenzied attack from their own Clan Knights and the castle guards.

Roy stood beside the Ironblood Duke’s headless corpse, calmly watching the slaughter in the plaza.

With the exception of a few die-hard loyalists, the vast majority of Knights and soldiers who had once sworn allegiance to the Reilly Clan now became the very executioners of its people.

Roy was not surprised that they had made such a choice.

The moment the Ironblood Duke was beheaded by his Thunder Beast Flash, a new reality had been declared.

The Northern Territory had a new master.

If these Clan Knights and soldiers failed to act now, the only thing awaiting them was the same fate as the Ironblood Duke.

Would they die with the Reilly Clan, or would they switch their allegiance and live on?

The choice was not a difficult one to make.
