Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 738: Chapter 415 Compromise_2

”Ten days should be enough; Yongle Island will be evacuated in ten days,” Ancestor Lu nodded and said.

After the negotiations concluded, the seven Nascent Soul Ancestors retreated until they were far away from Elder Jin Kai, only then did they feel somewhat relaxed.

In the presence of Elder Jin Kai, they maintained their formation, ready to engage in joint combat tactics should a battle arise.

Neither side was concerned about the attitudes of the inhabitants of Yongle Island during the negotiations.

The six major sects and the Beishu Trading Company dispatched nearly thirty giant Flying Boats and managed to evacuate all residents of Yongle Island within a day.

A medium-sized sect that was originally on the island didn’t even dismantle their Sect Formation during the evacuation, leaving behind everything in the spirit fields.

Across from Yongle Island on the coast, the six major sects established a stronghold and selected experienced Golden Core Cultivators from various sects to station there.

The first batch of Golden Core Cultivators exceeded a hundred, and more would be continuously transferred later, not only from the six major sects but also from smaller sects and Gold Core Loose Cultivators under various pretexts.

Special individuals oversaw these tasks, and in order to attract Golden Core Cultivators, the major sects also offered a number of resources as rewards for killing enemies.

The six major sects did this to confine the battlefield between Gold Core Cultivators to the area between Yongle Island and the coast, avoiding the spread of slaughter to a larger area.

Before long, a year passed, and Yongle Island became a focal point on the Beishu Continent.

Initially, the Golden Core Cultivators of the Beishu Continent had had their share of victories and defeats against those from the Skywalk Trading Company, but with the arrival of the second batch of Golden Core Cultivators from the company, the situation began to change.

Lately, nearly twenty Golden Core Cultivators had been killed. If not for the stronghold, the Golden Core Cultivators on Yongle Island might have already advanced deep into the interior of the Beishu Continent.

The most unexpected development for the six major sects was that Skywalk Trading Company began using resources as bait to buy over Gold Core Cultivators from smaller sects and Loose Cultivators, which increased the number of Golden Core Cultivators on Yongle Island continuously.

Li Yuanba sat cross-legged opposite Elder Sword, who stopped lecturing with a smile.

Over the span of a year, Li Yuanba visited twice a month, and his gains were substantial, sorting out the key aspects of the ”Sky-Surging Sword Intent Technique” from the Golden Core Stage to the Nascent Soul Stage.

Thanks to the personal guidance of Elder Sword, Li Yuanba’s Sword Intent improved extremely fast.

”Master, has your Lifebound Flying Sword been repaired?” Li Yuanba asked with concern.

Just as Elder Sword had predicted, after paying some price, he obtained a Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Material from Qianye Temple, which was a perfect match for Elder Sword.

”It’s almost there; it will be upgraded to fourth grade soon!” When it came to his Lifebound Flying Sword, Elder Sword made no attempt to hide his mood in front of his disciple and answered with a smile.

Although there had been no war between Skywalk Trading Company and the Beishu Continent, over the past year, more Nascent Soul Ancestors had been awakened.

Should Skywalk Trading Company overstep, despite the presence of Elder Jin Kai, a Nascent Soul Middle Stage being, the Beishu Continent would not hesitate to fight.

In reality, if Beishu Continent truly battled Elder Jin Kai, they would surely win, but the number of Nascent Soul Ancestors the Beishu Continent would have to sacrifice is unknown.

Most importantly, it would be very difficult to kill Elder Jin Kai; at most, they could severely injure him.

Such a cost is unbearable for any major sect, so the Beishu Continent continued to accumulate strength.

The Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Material of Elder Sword was obtained under these circumstances.

”Yuan Ba, although your Supreme Yang Sword Intent is more powerful, it also limits the choice of fourth-grade materials for enhancing your Lifebound Flying Sword after ascending to the Nascent Soul Stage. I blame myself for not having advised you timely!” Elder Sword thought of Li Yuanba’s Sword Intent and couldn’t help feeling somewhat helpless as he spoke.

Li Yuanba indeed understood his master’s concerns, as a Sword Cultivator’s Sword Intent with a special attribute would make it much stronger.

However, why did Elder Sword always maintain the purity of his Sword Intent, solely characterized by its unparalleled sharpness? This was, in fact, a compromise.

After advancing to the Nascent Soul Stage, Elder Sword needed a Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Material to upgrade his Lifebound Flying Sword.

Without a special attribute Sword Intent, he had more choices of Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Materials available, which is why he found a match with the second Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Material he encountered.

It is known that other Nascent Soul Ancestors rarely come across the Fourth Grade Refining Materials that perfectly match their own attributes in their lifetime.

Elder Sword only required to adjust his own Sword Intent according to the attributes of the Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Material he obtained to make a perfect match with it.

This choice would make his Sword Intent subject to passive changes, yet it was a method to rapidly deploy the combat strength of a Sword Cultivator.

As for Li Yuanba, with his Sword Intent possessing the Supreme Yang Attribute, he would need to find a Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Supreme Yang Material to upgrade his Lifebound Flying Sword after reaching the Nascent Soul Stage.

If he never finds the Fourth Grade Gold Attribute Supreme Yang Material in his lifetime, Li Yuanba might not be able to fully exert the power of his Lifebound Flying Sword.

If a Sword Cultivator cannot exert the power of his Lifebound Flying Sword, it is as if being restricted, practicing the Sword Cultivation Technique but failing to become a true Sword Cultivator.

”If push comes to shove, I’ll just switch to using a Fourth-grade Flying Sword for now!” Li Yuanba didn’t take it too much to heart and said with a laugh.

His self-perception was not that of a pure Sword Cultivator. If he could upgrade the Xingyi Sword, it would be best, but if not, he would use other methods to possess combat strength for the time being.

”I don’t like close-range sword techniques, but records of them exist in the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion along with top-notch Body Refining Techniques. After you return, you might consider improving yourself in these areas!” Elder Sword had considered this for him and offered his opinion.

Their exchanges almost never considered whether Li Yuanba could reach the Nascent Soul Stage or not.

In one year’s time, Elder Sword spent the most time with Li Yuanba and profoundly perceived how terrifyingly fast Li Yuanba’s growth was.

Li Yuanba’s cultivation speed was increasing at a rate even Elder Sword envied.

After all, Li Yuanba was continuously consuming Third Grade Advanced Spirit Pills specifically for Golden Core Middle Stage Cultivators, while other Golden Core Middle Stage Cultivators were busy obtaining Third-grade Spiritual Medicine, severely limiting their actual cultivation time with Third-grade Spirit Pills.

Even in his days, Ancestor Lu couldn’t possibly provide him with a large amount of Third-grade Spirit Pills, as he had to consider the influence it would have within the sect, waiting for a Third-grade Spirit Pill among Golden Core Cultivators was simply too many.

An uneven distribution might cause instability within the sect, a major taboo for a sect that has a lineage of over ten thousand years.

Li Yuanba’s eyes brightened; he had long decided to head to the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion after reaching the Nascent Soul Stage, and Elder Sword’s words deepened this thought.

”Yuan Ba, I’ve finished the lecture on the Golden Core Chapter of the Sky-Surging Sword Intent Technique. My master has sent a message, asking you to go to the Yongle Battlefield. It is said that recently the sect has lost three Middle Late Stage Golden Core Cultivators, and many more are injured; the sect is already mobilizing a Great Elder there!” Elder Sword said, looking at Li Yuanba.

Ever since Yongle Island was acquired by the Skywalk Trading Company, seven Nascent Soul Ancestors have been stationed at that outpost.

As long as Elder Jin Kai from Yongle Island does not leave, they cannot return.

Elder Sword didn’t oppose Li Yuanba going to the battlefield, where fighting against powerful Golden Core Cultivators was the best environment for a Sword Cultivator’s growth.

As for the dangers, ever since knowing that Li Yuanba possessed Great Elder Level Body Refining Power, Elder Sword no longer worried about any dangers Li Yuanba might face.

Even without displaying his Great Elder-level Body Refining Power, Li Yuanba was able to defeat a Great Elder using just his pure Lifebound Flying Sword; once he utilized his full battle power, Elder Sword couldn’t believe there were any Golden Core Cultivators who could withstand it.

Elder Sword was not a man of shallow insight; in fact, his knowledge surpassed that of many Nascent Soul Ancestors on the Beishu Continent.

He acknowledged Li Yuanba’s strength. Even if a Great Elder beyond the Beishu Continent’s standards appeared from the Skywalk Trading Company, at most, their strength would be equivalent to Li Yuanba’s; it was not possible for anyone to totally overpower Li Yuanba, not to mention Li Yuanba also mastered ”Step by Step Lotus”, assuring his survival was not a problem.
