The City’s Strongest Son-in-law

Chapter 889: Chapter 888: He’s My Brother

Su Changfeng arrived at the entrance of a restaurant with somewhat elegant decoration. The waiter at the door saw Su Changfeng approaching and personally helped him open the door, even specifically arranging a more spacious spot for him.

“Sir, here is the menu of our restaurant, please have a look and see if there’s anything you would like to eat?” The waiter politely asked Su Changfeng.

“I’ll have the shredded pork in garlic sauce, the signature braised pork, and a tomato egg soup.” Su Changfeng said while looking at the menu.

This is a Chinese restaurant, so one can enjoy many hometown dishes.

“Alright, sir, you’ve ordered shredded pork in garlic sauce, signature braised pork, and tomato egg soup, right?” The waiter courteously confirmed.

“Yes.” Su Changfeng replied blandly.

“Okay, sir, please wait a moment. If you need anything, just call me.” The waiter said and then left.

Since everything here is cooked fresh, it requires a bit of waiting, although usually it doesn’t take too long.

Su Changfeng quietly sat watching out the window, just in time to see a group of people heading towards the restaurant. Each of them dressed particularly rebelliously, clearly some idle youths.

Among this group, a girl caught Su Changfeng’s attention. She looked especially tiny, with green-dyed hair, ear piercings, tattoos, and wore torn jeans. Looking at this girl, Ye Cang instinctively thought of his own daughter Ye Nianhai, pondering that if his daughter grew up to be like this, he, as a father, would surely feel upset.

“What are you looking at? First time seeing such a beautiful woman?” The girl became displeased as Su Changfeng lingered his gaze on her.

Due to the girl’s displeasure, the group of people accompanying her directly turned their eyes to Su Changfeng, with evident dissatisfaction.

“You cripple, what are you staring at? If you keep staring at things you shouldn’t, be careful, I’ll make you blind.” The leading young man arrogantly pointed at Su Changfeng and scolded him.

Su Changfeng, seeing his stance, shook his head helplessly and said no more. After all, they were just young kids, so there was no need to fuss over matters with them. Moreover, these boys were in their adolescence, often eager to show off, especially in front of girls. Su Changfeng knew well that saying more would only escalate things, so it’s better to maintain peace.

Seeing that Su Changfeng did not respond, the young man felt smug, and they boldly sat down, starting their chatter.

Beside them, Su Changfeng listened to their unbridled bragging, sometimes finding it quite amusing.

About 10 minutes later, the waiter brought the two dishes and soup that Su Changfeng had ordered. Su Changfeng sat alone, eating his meal.

Suddenly, the sound of an engine rumbled from outside the restaurant, and a few people dismounted from their motorcycles, seemingly a group of society folk who fancied riding, planning to dine at this restaurant.

Notably, when they arrived, the previously arrogant young men suddenly subdued, no longer daring to boast, and their loud conversations turned into silence.

“Oh, you guys ran quite swiftly, but still couldn’t escape from my grasp.” The leading man said arrogantly.

“You guys have some courage, huh, having money to dine here, but no money to repay me.” Suddenly the man grabbed a young man by the hair, lifting him mercilessly upward.

Immediately followed by a scream of pain.

“Brother Hei Yu, Brother Hei Yu, please give us a few more days, we genuinely don’t have enough money now, but once we have money, we’ll definitely repay you.” The young man pleaded, enduring the pain.

This man called Brother Hei Yu ignored the pleas, delivering a hard slap to the young man’s face, arrogantly stating, “I’m making it clear today, either repay me today or I’ll make you a cripple.”

The young man, hearing the threat of being handicapped, trembled in fear, bowing his head desperately before Brother Hei Yu, continuously pleading: “Brother Hei Yu, Brother Hei Yu, I swear I’ll repay the money, could you give me a bit more time, please don’t cripple me, I still rely on my limbs to make a living.”

“Hehe, give you a few more days? Last time, you said the same thing, making a fool out of me, but now that I’ve managed to find you through tip-offs, there’s no way I’ll let you escape.” Brother Hei Yu said with a sinister tone.

Listening to Brother Hei Yu makes it clear he’s not someone to be trifled with. However, for those mingling in rough circles, such threats are merely play words.

Brother Hei Yu, feeling unsatisfied, suddenly punched the young man’s chest, followed by a series of fierce kicks.

The young man was beaten into a mess, his face bruised and blue, clutching his stomach, evidently in tremendous pain.

The other boys who came with this young man, witnessing this scene, were startled into panic.

At this moment, the girl whom Su Changfeng had just watched pointed at Su Changfeng, saying: “Brother Hei Yu, we really don’t have the money to repay you, but this person is my brother, and he surely has the money to repay your debt. Please spare us.”

Su Changfeng initially intended to remain uninvolved, quietly observing their commotion, yet unexpectedly, the little girl pulled him into the fray, claiming he was her brother.

Brother Hei Yu turned in the direction the girl was pointing, looking at Su Changfeng.

To Brother Hei Yu, the threats just made were to intimidate them; if someone genuinely repaid the debt, he’d be naturally pleased. After all, he didn’t care who repaid as long as he got his money.

“This girl said you’re her brother?” Brother Hei Yu first scrutinized Su Changfeng, assessing that he shouldn’t be anyone significant before aggressively questioning Su Changfeng.

“How much do they owe?” Su Changfeng asked lightly, revealing neither joy nor anger.

The man called Brother Hei Yu heard this, and his previously ferocious expression suddenly changed to a smile.

For Brother Hei Yu, his intention was merely to obtain the money. The bunch of young rascals, even if beaten multiple times, couldn’t produce the money, which would ultimately be pointless.

“It’s not much, a total of thirty thousand. Are you willing to repay for them?” Brother Hei Yu asked.

“I didn’t carry cash when I went out, but I can give you a card. You can take this card to withdraw the money, the password is 123123.”

After speaking, Su Changfeng took a card from his pocket.

Brother Hei Yu glanced at it, not showing much joy but rather slightly frowning, because he suspected Su Changfeng might be toying with him.
