The City’s Strongest Son-in-law

Chapter 446: Chapter 447 Shameless Sun Wei

”Let go of you?” Sun Gui not only didn’t let go but tightened his grip, fiercely smashing Liu Lili’s head against the wall, then said maliciously, ”If you agree not to tell anyone about this, I’ll let you go. How about it?”

Liu Lili was hit so hard that she saw stars.

”Sun Gui, what are you doing?” Sun Wei suddenly shouted from behind Sun Gui.

Living in someone else’s place right now, Sun Wei didn’t want Sun Gui to cause trouble here. Although Liu Lili was just a servant, it wasn’t necessary to hit her.

”Grandpa.” Sun Gui shrank his neck, quickly letting go of Liu Lili.

”What’s going on? What happened?” Sun Wei asked.

Sun Gui acted impulsively against Su Changfeng, thinking Liu Lili wouldn’t notice. If he had known she would see, he wouldn’t have dared to do it.

”Grandpa, I saw Su Changfeng drunk just now, so I hit him, unexpectedly, Liu Lili saw it.” Sun Gui said.

Sun Wei looked at Sun Gui with utter disappointment in his eyes; hitting Su Changfeng was pointless. Right now, they’re relying on Tang Qiulu to help them join the group so they can settle in Jiang City.

Once they establish themselves in Jiang City and have more money, it’s not too late to take revenge on Su Changfeng.

”Did a donkey kick your brain? I warned you multiple times before coming to Jiang City not to provoke Su Changfeng, did you forget?” Sun Wei said angrily.

Sun Gui never planned revenge on Su Changfeng, nor did he have the courage. But the opportunity was in front of him, so he acted foolishly in the heat of the moment.

”Sorry, Grandpa, I was indeed impulsive, but... but now I’ve already hit Su Changfeng, what can I do now?” Sun Gui looked at Sun Wei with despair.

Sun Wei sighed helplessly; since Sun Gui had already done it, they could only find a way to cover it up.

He stepped forward and, in an authoritative tone, said to Liu Lili, ”This matter is our family’s. It has nothing to do with you as an outsider. If you want to continue working here, you’d best keep today’s events to yourself. If I have Sun Mei fire you, you won’t have any chance to stay.”

Liu Lili held her head with both hands, feeling dizzy. Sun Gui had hit her so hard there might be a concussion. Even so, Liu Lili wouldn’t back down.

The job was given to her by Su Changfeng, who had helped her many times. Even if she lost her job because of this, Liu Lili would let Su Changfeng know about Sun Gui’s actions.

”Do you think I care about this job?” Liu Lili said indifferently.

Sun Wei’s expression turned grim, ”You’re just a maid. Just do your job well. Why get involved in this?”

Liu Lili replied with a smile, ”If it weren’t for Su Changfeng, I wouldn’t work here. In my eyes, Su Changfeng’s kindness to me is beyond repay, even if I worked tirelessly.”

Before Liu Lili could finish speaking, Sun Wei slapped her hard across the face, saying viciously, ”If you say so, then get out of here!”

Liu Lili felt a ringing in her ears from the slap, and her face swelled instantly, but she still remained defiant, saying, ”You don’t have the authority to fire me.”

Sun Wei’s chest heaved with anger; who does this maid think she is to disobey him? Although he wasn’t the Family Head, Sun Mei was still his daughter.

”Go call your Aunt Mei down.” Sun Wei said to Sun Gui.

At his words, Sun Gui went up to the second floor.

When Sun Mei rushed into the living room and understood the whole situation, she was very angry. Right now, Tang Qiulu and Su Changfeng have a very close relationship.

Added to the fact that their current situation was all thanks to Su Changfeng, the Sun Family needed Tang Qiulu’s agreement, and also Su Changfeng’s agreement, to settle in Jiang City. At this crucial moment, Sun Gui dared to hit Su Changfeng!

If Tang Qiulu hears about this, it would be a big problem.

”Sun Mei, it’s not Sun Gui’s fault. Zhao Meili died, and Sun Gui has grievances that are understandable. Find a way to help him.” Sun Wei said to Sun Mei, issuing orders rather than discussing.

”Dad, how can I help him? It’s impossible to hide this.” Sun Mei said angrily. The trouble Sun Gui caused should be his to bear.

Hearing Sun Mei’s words, Sun Gui kneeled before her, not willing to let his future be ruined, not wanting to miss his only chance for success.

”Aunt Mei, I’m begging you, help me. I know I was wrong, and I promise never to do such stupid things again.” Sun Gui pleaded.

”Sun Gu, after all, is your nephew, and he knows where he went wrong now. Help him just this once.” Sun Mei said.

Sun Mei furrowed her brows and sighed helplessly. She knew that if she didn’t help Sun Gui, the Sun Family would be driven out. After all, they’re her mother’s family, and her feelings for them are still deeper than those for Su Changfeng.

”Liu Lili, pack your things. I’ll give you your salary later. From today, you don’t need to work here anymore.” Sun Mei said to Liu Lili.

”Changfeng is your son-in-law. Sun Gui hit him, and you’re prepared to ignore it?” Liu Lili said.

Sun Mei’s expression turned cold, ”This is our family’s matter, nothing to do with you. Besides, I’ve been unhappy with you for a long time. Pack your things and leave, or I won’t give you your salary.”

”Aunt Mei, I’ll go help pack, lest Qiulu returns soon.” Sun Gui said, standing up.

Sun Mei nodded, and Sun Gui ran to Liu Lili’s room.

At that moment, Sun Wei snatched Liu Lili’s phone from her hand, smashing it hard against the ground and even breaking the SIM card, preventing Su Changfeng from contacting her by phone.

When Tang Qiulu returned home, Liu Lili was already gone from the villa, leaving only Su Changfeng lying slumped on the sofa in the living room and Sun Mei pretending to take care of him.

”You’re finally back. You must take care of him. Drinking like this in broad daylight, how does it look?” Sun Mei said with disgust.

Tang Qiulu looked at the alcohol-imbued Su Changfeng with puzzlement, ”Why is Changfeng like this?”

She had known Su Changfeng for over three years, and even though he occasionally drank, it was never much. This was the first time he’d ended up like this.

”You ask me, who am I to ask? How would I know why he’s drinking? Bring him back quickly; the living room reeks of alcohol.” Sun Mei said.

Tang Qiulu struggled to support Su Changfeng on her own, while Sun Mei didn’t intend to help at all, just standing there watching.
