The City’s Strongest Son-in-law

Chapter 445: Chapter 446 Drinking with Huo Tian

”I once overheard Shangguan Feihong telling Ye Weijun that the M Country Su Family has never looked the Beijing Su Family in the eye,” Su Changfeng said.

”Yes, those people from the M Country Su Family have always looked down on the Beijing Su Family. They don’t even recognize the existence of the Beijing Su Family, seeing the M Country Su Family as the true lineage, while the Beijing Su Family is just a discarded branch,” Huo Tian said.

Su Changfeng didn’t react much to this. A family he had never interacted with looking down on him wasn’t something he cared about, especially since they were unlikely to have any dealings in the future.

”Grandpa Huo, why did you bring this up?” Su Changfeng asked curiously.

”Because people from the M Country Su Family are now in Jiang City,” Huo Tian said, looking at Su Changfeng with meaning.

”In Jiang City?” Su Changfeng’s brows furrowed deeply. The two families hadn’t been in contact for a long time, so why come to Jiang City out of the blue?

Huo Tian specially came to Jiang City to tell him this, which clearly had some connection to him.

”Grandpa Huo, are you saying the M Country Su Family came to Jiang City because of me?” Su Changfeng was somewhat puzzled.

”That’s my guess too. They’re probably here for you, but why they’re actually here, you’ll only know after meeting them,” Huo Tian said.

Su Changfeng nodded, not taking it to heart, and said, ”Grandpa Huo, since you’re here, how about having a drink or two with me?”

”Aren’t you afraid of throwing up?” Huo Tian laughed.

The first time Su Changfeng drank with Huo Tian was when he was 15, and he vomited until he was retching bile. Even now, he couldn’t forget the experience, as it was deeply etched in his mind.

But this didn’t mean Su Changfeng was afraid.

”Grandpa Huo, though my drinking capacity hasn’t improved, my courage remains as strong as before. Want to try?” Su Changfeng laughed.

”Of course, this time I must drink properly,” Huo Tian said.

Upon hearing about a good drink, Su Changfeng’s eyelid twitched, feeling a foreboding sense that the outcome would be the same as before.

But after all, it’s just drinking, not going to the battlefield to fight the enemy, so how could Su Changfeng possibly be afraid?

The two of them went to a restaurant, and as soon as two or three dishes were served, they started drinking.

Huo Tian’s drinking capacity was not something ordinary people could match. You could say even ten Su Changfengs wouldn’t be a match for Huo Tian.

Huo Tian had attended countless drinking occasions in his life, never getting drunk, even when Ye Qingtian was still in the Su Family. Ye Qingtian usually ended up under the table and Huo Tian had to carry him back.

After drinking for not too long, Su Changfeng was already passed out on the table. Huo Tian continued drinking, looking at Su Changfeng and said, ”Do you know that your grandpa’s lifelong goal is to let those people in the M Country Su Family know that the Beijing Su Family is a presence that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the M Country Su Family? But now his fate is uncertain. Only you can accomplish this. Don’t let your grandpa’s expectations down.”

At this moment, Su Changfeng was completely dazed and couldn’t comprehend Huo Tian’s words, mumbling something unclear.

After finishing his drink, Huo Tian carried Su Changfeng out of the restaurant.

When they reached the gate of the Xianwu Mountain Villa, the security guard didn’t stop them upon seeing Su Changfeng.

At the entrance of the Mountain Villa, Huo Tian put Su Changfeng down, rang the doorbell, and then left.

Liu Lili opened the door and smelled the strong odor of alcohol, instinctively covering her nose. Seeing no one outside, she looked down and saw Su Changfeng sitting on the ground.

”Changfeng, why are you so drunk?” Liu Lili hurriedly squatted down. Fortunately, she often did physical labor, so she managed to help Su Changfeng up, escorting him into the living room.

The smell of alcohol permeated the living room, and Liu Lili quickly ran to the kitchen to make some honey water to sober up Su Changfeng.

Just then, Sun Gui entered the living room and saw Su Changfeng drunk like mud, his eyes lighting up.

Sun Gui walked quickly to the sofa, and whispered, ”Su Changfeng, how are you doing?”

Seeing Su Changfeng unresponsive, Sun Gui’s eyes filled with malice. Now was a prime opportunity for revenge. While Su Changfeng was unconscious, even if he beat him, Su Changfeng probably wouldn’t react.

Sun Gui cautiously slapped Su Changfeng’s face, particularly careful not to use too much force. Seeing no response, he applied a bit more strength.

”Screw you, finally got my chance. You’re nothing but trash being kept by a woman. Is it because Tang Qiulu hasn’t let you touch her yet that you’re drowning in alcohol?” Sun Gui punched Su Changfeng in the chest.

Su Changfeng frowned slightly, but as he was practically unconscious, his senses weren’t clear, let alone having any reaction.

Seeing no reaction from Su Changfeng, Sun Gui grew bolder, feeling one punch wasn’t enough. He kicked Su Changfeng.

”Awesome, this is freaking awesome. Finally, I can get my revenge,” Sun Gui said happily.

”What are you doing?” At this moment, Liu Lili saw Sun Gui’s actions from outside the kitchen and coldly questioned him.

Sun Gui shivered. He dared to hit Su Changfeng while he was drunk, but he definitely didn’t want Su Changfeng finding out when he sobered up. Now that Liu Lili saw, she would definitely tell Su Changfeng or Tang Qiulu!

With a vicious expression, Sun Gui approached Liu Lili, grabbing her neck and pressing her against the wall, threateningly saying, ”I advise you not to meddle in what’s none of your business. This has nothing to do with you, you’re just a maid here.”

Seeing the venomous look on Sun Gui’s face didn’t scare Liu Lili. She was willing to apologize to troublemakers like Sun Gui just because she didn’t want to ruin the relationship between Su Changfeng and Sun Mei because of her.

But after seeing Sun Gui hit Su Changfeng while he was drunk, Liu Lili couldn’t pretend not to see.

”I will tell Changfeng what you did,” Liu Lili said.

Sun Gui glared fiercely, one hand firmly squeezing Liu Lili’s neck and the other pulling her hair, slamming her head against the wall, viciously saying, ”Stupid woman, are you determined to oppose me? I can have Aunt Mei fire you right now, believe it or not?!”

Liu Lili, wincing in pain, tried to push Sun Gui away, but her hair was still tightly gripped. Pulling too hard felt like it would rip her scalp off.

”Sun Gui, let me go!” Liu Lili said.
