My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Selecting the factory site, purchasing the equipment, and completing the move took less than ten days.

With enough money, anything can be arranged quickly.

Afterward, Gao Feng held a simple opening ceremony, paying respects to heaven, earth, and the spirits.

After the ceremony, the factory was officially up and running.

Inside the factory office, Chu Feng sipped his tea and said to Gao Feng, ”The factory is open now. The rest of the operations are all on you.”

”Feng, you’re just going to dump this factory on me? Aren’t you afraid I’ll run it into the ground?” Gao Feng asked in surprise.

”Come on, what do you think our relationship is? If I didn’t trust you, would I have invested so much money in you? Besides, you’ve already signed the order contract with my wife’s company. Right now, you should be thinking about how to do a good job, increase output quickly, and make your deliveries on time,” Chu Feng said.

”That’s definitely not a problem,” Gao Feng said confidently. ”The factory’s output isn’t especially high at the moment, but once we have these orders and make a few shipments, I’ll figure out a way to expand production.”

”Since it’s the first day, how about we go out and celebrate?” Gao Feng suggested.

”Nah, it’s the middle of the day. Why would we go drinking? Let’s do it another time. You just focus on work for now. I’m heading out,” Chu Feng said as he stood up.

’The factory had just started operations; Gao Feng didn’t have time to go out for food and drinks. A mountain of work was waiting for him.’

”Alright, we’ll set something up when we have time,” Gao Feng said with a nod.

In truth, he really didn’t have time to go out. There were still many documents waiting for his signature.

After leaving Gao Feng, Chu Feng had nothing else to do, so he headed back to the Su Group.

Just as he walked through the main gate, he heard an engine roaring behind him.

Chu Feng turned to see a sports car speeding toward him.

”Bro!” A head poked out from the passenger side, shouting to Chu Feng.

’Hao Zi?’ Chu Feng was a bit surprised.

He hadn’t expected to see his own younger brother, Chu Hao, in the passenger seat.

Nearly ten days had passed, and Chu Hao had long since been discharged from the hospital.

”Brother-in-law!” another voice called out.

A head peeked out from the driver’s seat. It was Su Miaoke’s younger brother—his own brother-in-law—Su Jun.

The two of them had been in the same hospital, in adjacent rooms.

So, they had gotten to know each other while recovering in the hospital. After being discharged, they started hanging out.

During that time, Su Miaoke had also transferred Chu Hao’s school records to Beihai City, enrolling him in the same school as Su Jun.

As a result, the two had quickly become best buddies and were now practically inseparable.

Looking at the two of them, Chu Feng couldn’t help but smile.

”Su Jun, you just got better. You’re already driving? And so recklessly, too. Aren’t you scared?” Chu Feng asked.

”Brother-in-law, come on,” Su Jun said smugly. ”We’re young. Our bodies can take a beating. A little injury like that was nothing!”

He then parked the car, grabbed Chu Hao, and they walked into the security office by the entrance together.

Young people. So fearless, afraid of nothing, and they never learn. Only after taking a few hard knocks do they finally get the message.

”Brother-in-law, you have to work today? How about we go hang out?” Su Jun asked.

”Not going. I have to work. If I don’t, no one else will,” Chu Feng said.

”By the way, aren’t you supposed to be in school today? Why did you bring Chu Hao with you? Don’t you go leading him astray,” Chu Feng warned.

”Brother-in-law, what are you talking about? I came here today to thank you properly! If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t even be here right now.”

”As for school... what’s there to learn? I can’t be bothered to go. My dad wants me to work at the company as an intern, so I’m having Chu Hao join me. It’s got a much better future than school.”

Su Jun said in his usual carefree way. He was a very lively and cheerful person.

”You can thank the doctors’ skills for saving you,” Chu Feng said, deflecting the credit.

”Hey, brother-in-law, you’re being too modest. My sister told me everything. She said if it weren’t for you, the doctors would’ve been pulling a sheet over my head,” Su Jun said.

Chu Feng didn’t pursue the topic.

”Working at the company is fine. Learn the ropes so you can take over Dad’s position someday. But you’d better not be a bad influence on my brother. And absolutely no taking him street racing, or you’ll have me to answer to!” Chu Feng said.

”Brother-in-law, don’t you worry. I don’t street race anymore. I’m going to be a good, law-abiding citizen,” Su Jun said.

”Brother-in-law, are you free? When you get off work, let’s go out and party?” Su Jun asked.

”I’m not going. You guys go ahead, but be safe,” Chu Feng said, flatly refusing.

’He was in no mood to go out and fool around. He was long past that phase of his life.’

’Besides, his parents had been nagging him recently about wanting to go back to the countryside.’

’They said it was too boring here, like being in prison, and they just couldn’t get used to it.’

”Fine, if you’re not coming, brother-in-law, we’ll go by ourselves. Just give me a call whenever you feel like hanging out,” Su Jun said, then left with Chu Hao.

Chu Feng felt a bit helpless when it came to Su Jun’s personality.

’Then again, he was a rich kid who had never wanted for anything. It was only natural for his personality to be a bit flashy.’

’Plus, Chu Feng’s in-laws spoiled Su Jun rotten, which was why the kid came off as a bit of a punk.’

’But Chu Feng was relieved about one thing: Su Jun wasn’t a bad person. He loved to fool around, but deep down, he was kind-hearted.’

’Thankfully, the Tang Family was keeping a low profile these days and wasn’t looking for trouble. Otherwise, Su Jun would probably be in danger again.’

’Chu Feng knew the Tang Family hadn’t made a move in so long most likely because they were wary of his power.’

After work, Chu Feng waited for Su Miaoke, and they went home together.

Dinner was already on the table, so they just had to wash their hands before eating.

At the dinner table, Chu Feng’s mother spoke up. ”Xiao Feng, Miaoke, your father and I have given it a lot of thought, and we’ve decided to go back home. There’s still so much to do, and the fields need planting. If we don’t do it soon, we’ll miss the season.”

”Oh, Mom, how many times do I have to tell you? You don’t have to farm anymore. Why can’t you two just come retire here in Beihai?” Chu Feng said, exasperated.

”That’s right, Dad, Mom. We can support you now. We don’t lack for anything, so why do you need to farm? Why don’t you just stay here with us? We can all go back together for the holidays. What do you think?” Su Miaoke added.

”Linsheng, you talk to them,” Chu Feng’s mother said, nudging Chu Yuntian.

Before Chu Yuntian could even speak, Chu Feng cut in, ”Dad, if you’re bored, you can come work at the new factory I started with a friend from school. You can be the vice president.”
