My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Gao Feng laughed awkwardly. ”This is how you get famous, right?”

”This is everyone? The equipment and materials are placed so haphazardly; it’s a fire hazard. And you only have four machines?” Su Miaoke said.

”Yes, President Su. I’m just starting out and don’t have much capital, so this is the best I can do for now. Once I’ve made my first real profit, I’ll expand,” Gao Feng said, embarrassed.

It couldn’t be helped. He had no connections and no family to back him up; he was doing this entirely on his own.

Just getting this far already put him leagues ahead of most people his age.

He knew it was incredibly difficult for a small workshop like this to scale up. It required two things: opportunity and capital. You couldn’t do without either.

If things didn’t pick up after a few years of grinding and something went wrong, he could lose his shirt—and everything else.

The scale was too small, the staff too few, the orders were infrequent and unreliable, and the profit margins were slim.

After looking around, Su Miaoke said to Gao Feng, ”This place is too small. It won’t do. You have to expand.”

Gao Feng’s face fell when he heard this. He said helplessly, ”President Su, do you think I don’t want to expand? My funds are just too limited...”

Of course. He was just getting started; where would he get that kind of money?

If he had that much money, he would have scaled up ages ago. Why would he still be running a tiny workshop like this?

”Ask your old classmate. He should have that much,” Su Miaoke said, glancing at Chu Feng.

”I don’t have much, so I can’t help a lot. This card has twenty million on it. It’s from Dad last time,” Chu Feng said, glancing at Su Miaoke.

Although Su Linsheng had given him the money to host Zhao Qinghan and the others, he still felt he should ask Su Miaoke before using it.

After all, Su Miaoke was his wife now, and the money had come from her father, Su Linsheng.

”Since my dad gave it to you, the money is yours. You can do what you want with it; you don’t need to worry about him.”

”He’s working with Sixth Master now, so the company will only continue to do better, unless something goes wrong on Sixth Master’s end. After all, the overseas market demand is huge.”

”As it happens, the company is planning to scale up right now. That includes bringing on more manufacturers. We still have to outsource a lot of production to third-party companies. Isn’t this the perfect opportunity for your friend to expand?”

Su Miaoke said with a faint smile.

Gao Feng glanced at Chu Feng, then back at Su Miaoke, and asked excitedly, ”President Su, is... is this for real?”

”Of course. What would I gain from teasing you?” Su Miaoke replied.

”However, let’s treat this twenty million as an investment from Chu Feng. He’ll be the majority shareholder in your company. You’ll manage it, and he’ll just collect the profits. He’ll take a sixty-percent stake. What do you think?” Su Miaoke continued.

Su Miaoke knew Chu Feng didn’t want to deal with the day-to-day management of a company, but he could certainly be a shareholder.

Besides, if they just loaned Gao Feng twenty million, he’d probably be under immense psychological pressure, terrified of losing it all.

But with Chu Feng as a shareholder, Gao Feng’s company would have a steady stream of business with the Su Group. Making money would be a certainty.

On top of that, Gao Feng would still get forty percent, meaning his income and net worth would skyrocket.

He’d basically be getting rich overnight.

Anyone else who stumbled upon such an opportunity would probably die from joy, even if it meant giving up ninety percent of the shares.

”No... I can’t do that. Absolutely not!” Gao Feng’s expression turned serious as he immediately refused.

Even though he and Chu Feng were classmates, these terms were just too generous.

Even an idiot could see who was getting the better end of this deal.

”What? You’re not willing? Is it because the share is too small?” Su Miaoke asked with a frown.

Suddenly, a flicker of anger rose within her. ’This classmate of Chu Feng’s is being unreasonable.’

However, Gao Feng’s next words left her stunned.

”Chu Feng and I are good friends. It’s precisely because of that that I can’t agree. My total investment in this factory is only five hundred thousand. If I just take a forty-percent stake, wouldn’t I be taking way too much advantage of Chu Feng? No! Absolutely not!” Gao Feng refused, shaking his head.

”Feng, it’s settled. Stop being so wishy-washy,” Chu Feng said.

”But...” Gao Feng started to say.

Just then, Su Miaoke cut in, ”No more buts. It’s decided. I’ll have someone send over the agreement tomorrow.”

”While we’re getting started, I can help you out with things—finding a new factory, buying equipment, running errands, and all that,” Chu Feng said.

”But you’re getting such a raw deal. I can’t feel right about that,” Gao Feng said.

”You’re really dragging this out. It’s settled. We’re leaving now.” Chu Feng then led Su Miaoke away.

Even though she had just spent a lot of money, Su Miaoke was in a good mood.

”So, how does it feel to have something to do? Better than sitting in the security room being bored all day, right?” Su Miaoke said with a smile.

In reality, the money was nothing to her.

As long as it made Chu Feng happy, she would’ve thrown down two hundred million without a second thought, let alone twenty million.

”Yeah, it’s good to have a full life,” Chu Feng said with a smile.

The thought of starting a company with his best bud had Chu Feng feeling a little excited too.

”Oh, right. Honey, you have to be careful when you go out for the next few days. What if those people from the Tang Family come looking for trouble again?” Su Miaoke suddenly said, her voice filled with worry.

”Don’t worry. They probably won’t dare show their faces for a while. And if they do, I’ll make them regret it!” Chu Feng said.

He had no goodwill or pity for the Tang Family whatsoever.

In fact, he had wanted to kill Tang Chuxia that day too. But to his surprise, the woman had absolutely no Sin Value.

She was a special case among the members of the Tang Family he had encountered.

It was very late when they got home, and Chu Feng’s parents had already gone to bed.

The two of them washed up and went to bed.

Early the next morning, Chu Feng received a call from Gao Feng, and the two began searching for a new site.

After all, when expanding, the location of the factory was critical.

Beihai City was an industrial hub, so there were plenty of factory districts to choose from.

Many factories even had equipment still in good condition. As long as you had the money, you could buy the whole lot, hire some people, and get started right away.

Soon, the two had selected a factory site and hired more than five hundred people.

The machinery was a mix of half new and half old, just to save a bit of money.

Once the company was up and running, they could replace everything with new equipment.
