Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2311: Resolve

This was Emeryʼs full primal transformation, a terrifying force of nature. His body loomed over Julian, a monstrous figure that fused human form with the raw savagery of a wolf. His muscles bulged with inhuman power, and dark, swirling energy coiled around him like a living shadow. Every breath he took seemed to pulse with an aura of raw, oppressive might, his presence dominating the battlefield. Julianʼs confidence, which had been unshakable moments ago, began to waver. A creeping sense of dread settled over him. He had witnessed Emeryʼs transformations before, but never on this scale. This was something far beyond the rival he had faced in the past. All the divine blessings, the heavenly title of the ”Heavenly Son” that had elevated him above others, now felt inadequate. Emeryʼs very existence seemed to warp the space around him, an overwhelming presence that crushed Julianʼs resolve.

With a roar, Emery lunged forward, his fist connecting with Julianʼs divine armor in a thunderous blow. BAMMM!!

The impact shattered the protective aura that had shielded Julian, sending cracks spidering through his once-untouchable armor. The force of the strike hurled him backward with devastating speed, his body skidding across the battlefield. He coughed violently, blood spraying from his mouth as pain coursed through his entire being.

Julian struggled to regain his footing, but each of Emeryʼs footsteps echoed like a death knell. The ground trembled beneath Emeryʼs advance, and with every step closer, Julian felt his determination crumbling. But he would not give in—he could not. With a groan, he forced himself upright, his eyes burning with defiance.

Then, Emery struck again.

BAMMM!!!

This time, the force was even more brutal, Julianʼs defenses crumbled under the relentless assault. The pain was excruciating, searing through every fiber of his being. He gave everything he had to block Emeryʼs explosive punches, but it was futile. Emery was simply too fast, too powerful. All Julian could do was helplessly brace for the next hit.

BAMM!! BAMM!!

Another bone-shattering punch sent Julian flying into the air. His body crashed into one of the palaceʼs towering pillars, the impact so violent that the entire structure trembled. The pillar cracked, crumbling down on him as debris and rubble rained from above. Julian was buried under the weight of it, gasping for breath, struggling to push himself free from the wreckage.

The battle had become utterly one-sided. Julianʼs once formidable power was now dwarfed by Emeryʼs primal fury.

Seeing the dire situation, Athena charged in, leading half a dozen Magus warriors in a desperate attempt to save him. But they were no match. As they engaged Emery, it became horrifyingly clear how outclassed they were. They were like eggs smashing against a wall.

One by one, they were blown away—struck down with a single hit, their bodies crumpling like paper, unconscious before they hit the ground. The sight of his allies falling so effortlessly under Emeryʼs might was a devastating blow to Julianʼs already crumbling spirit.

Athena, despite the overwhelming odds, stood defiantly in front of him, her sword and shield raised as the last line of defense. Her eyes burned with determination as she prepared to face the unstoppable force barreling toward them.

”Athena!!!… this is my fight!! Move away!!” Julianʼs voice was hoarse, desperate.

”No!! Heʼs killing you!!” Athena shouted back, her voice shaking but resolute.

Seeing Athena, a proud Kronos warrior, standing in his path only fueled Emeryʼs rage further. His emotions surged, primal and overpowering.

Without thinking, he swung his fist, delivering a blow far too powerful for someone of her realm. Athena, despite her strength as a half-moon magus, could barely withstand the first strike. Her shield buckled, the force reverberating through her body, crushing her inner strength. She staggered, barely holding on.

Emeryʼs second punch was about to come crashing down when Julian threw himself in front of her, taking the full brunt of the hit. The impact was devastating, and Julian was sent hurtling back, coughing up blood as his body crumpled to the ground.

”Julian!!” Athena screamed, her voice cracked, filled with desperation and fury. ”You monster!! What did he do to deserve this!!”

Emery, answered by a slap that sent her sprawling across the ground. His voice, cold and filled with bitterness, spat venom at her. ”You!! This is your doing!! Your family… your fake god!”

Athenaʼs eyes widened, shock and guilt mixing in her expression as she lay on the ground, stunned by the force of his words.

Julian, battered and bloodied, still refused to stay down. Summoning every last ounce of his strength, he rose again, defiance burning in his eyes. But before he could fully regain his stance, Emery charged at him with overwhelming speed. Julian tried to resist, his divine aura flaring weakly, but Emery was relentless. His massive, primal arms locked around Julianʼs, squeezing with monstrous power, pinning him down.

Savage energy crackled around Emery as he forced Julian to his knees, overpowering him completely. The golden light that once enveloped Julian, the divine power he had earned through years of dedication, flickered and faded into nothingness—dissipating into glittering dust in the wind.

Julian had lost.

”You cannot win… Give up… and return home with me!”

Julianʼs chuckle echoed through the shattered remains of his once-proud palace, a sound laced with bitter irony. Around him, the devastation was undeniable—ruins of stone and marble crumbled, and in the distance, thousands of onlookers watched in stunned silence. Fear flickered in their eyes as they stared at Julian, the man they had once revered as their god. 𝙍ΑℕŐ𐌱ЁŠ

With a weary smile, Julian turned to Emery. His voice was hoarse but filled with conviction. ”Home… canʼt you see? I am home.”

Emeryʼs heart sank, frustration boiling beneath the surface. His eyes searched Julianʼs face for any sign of doubt, but all he found was steadfast resolve.

”Julian… they are using you. Canʼt you see that?!”

There was no verbal response, only the hardened look in Julianʼs eyes. His silence spoke volumes—his mind was made up. To Emery, this felt like a dagger in his chest. The primal being within him, the untamed force of Khaos, snarled, urging him to finish the fight, to end it once and for all with one final blow. Emeryʼs fists clenched, the savage energy thrumming through his veins, pushing him toward the edge.

But before he could strike, something unexpected happened.

Out of the wreckage, a figure rushed toward him—not a Grand Magus, not a seasoned warrior, but a simple civilian. The man was trembling, his face pale with fear, yet he found the courage to act. With shaking hands, he hurled a stone at Emery.

”Monster!!! Let go of our king!!” The stone struck Emeryʼs chest but bounced off harmlessly. For a moment, Emery stood frozen, taken aback as more and more civilians began stepping forward. One by one, they gathered, their fear overridden by loyalty to their king. Thousands, followed suit, shouting in anger, their voices blending into a chaotic chorus.

Emeryʼs heart wavered, his mind swirling with confusion. The beast inside him growled, hungry for destruction, but something about the sight of these people—their unyielding belief in Julian—gave him pause.

The sight shook Emery more than any blow could.
