My Youth Began With Him

“You can say so.”

Qin Chu agreed to Qiao Fei’s conjecture; in fact, he had been suspecting it for a long time.

“This is unbelievable…”

Qiao Fei felt he needed time to process the unthinkable things he had seen.

Then he remembered something important and said to Qin Chu, “The professor went to the island.”

“Which island?” hearing the mention of the professor, Qin Chu asked immediately.

“Lu Yan’s island; I was there.”

“You saw the professor?”

“Yeah.”

“I couldn’t get in touch with him.” Qin Chu was frustrated; if he could reach the professor, the situation probably wouldn’t have become so tricky.

“Uncle Lu didn’t answer your calls, saying you were being watched; he was afraid to reveal his whereabouts…”

“Where is he now?”

“He left,” said Qiao Fei.

“Where did he go?”

Qin Chu had a feeling that the professor knew the answers to a lot of mysteries; the simultaneous disappearances of Yan and Mian were very likely related to the professor.

“I don’t know. He didn’t say. You know he never reveals his whereabouts. But he left an important clue.”

“What is it?”

Qin Chu knew he had made a wise decision to summon Qiao Fei.

“Uncle Lu said the mastermind behind the scene… seems to be… Yan and Sister Mian’s mother…”

Qin Chu was stunned and didn’t speak for several seconds.

“It’s impossible. Dr. Lin Ya is long… Her body is in Iceland.” Qin Chu had thought he was well informed.

“I thought so, too. Uncle Lu didn’t explain it, but I don’t think he lied. After he was gone, I sent people to Iceland and found that Dr. Lin Ya’s body was long gone. Maybe Uncle Lu is right. For some reason, Dr. Lin Ya woke up… No one else could take Yan and Sister Mian at the same time… Sister Mian isn’t a fighter and is easy to catch. But Yan has few rivals in the world in one-to-one fistfights. Still, she was taken away. It means the person behind it is very powerful. If the person is Dr. Lin Ya, I’m not worried about their safety; after all, Lin Ya is their mother.”

Hearing Qiao Fei’s words, Qin Chu began to think.

He had to admit Qiao Fei, despite his youth, was a man with careful and logical thinking.

“Did the professor tell you these things?” Qin Chu was still uncertain.

“Uncle Lu didn’t elaborate. He just said he suspected Lin Ya did it… He kept something to himself. I feel that there are some secrets between Uncle Lu and Dr. Lin Ya. Of course, these are probably top-level secrets and Uncle Lu can’t tell them to me.”

“It means the professor has gone to find Dr. Lin Ya?” Qin Chu said.

“I think so. But we don’t have a clue where he went. The professor is very good, and no one can follow him. We can only wait for him to contact us.”

“It seems the professor is off to find the truth… Fei, I need you to do something.”

“Go ahead, brother-in-law.”

“Send all your people and Lu Yan’s people to find as much information about the Doomsday Death God as they can; spare no costs.”

“No problem. I’ll do it.”

“Well, I’ll go and have a talk with that monster.” Qin Chu stood up.
