My Youth Began With Him

C City in China.

Low in spirits, Su Yu got tipsy after drinking some alcohol.

While he wasn’t looking, Han Yueyao sent a WeChat message to An, “An, come to my dorm building to take President Su home.”

“Huh? President Su’s in your dorm?” An was astonished.

“Yeah.”

“Hahaha. Are you two…”

“Yeah, we’re both drunk.”

“Then I’ll pick him up tomorrow morning. You two can take the opportunity to… Heiheihei.”

An had been hoping his boss would end his single relationship status; since Huo Mian would never return Su Yu’s feelings, An hoped he could love someone else.

Han Yueyao was a good girl and An wanted to bring them together.

“Damn. What are you thinking about? There’s nothing going on between us… President Su is low in spirits and wanted to have a drink with me. Come now and take him home. Hurry up. I need to go out. He’s drunk and I don’t want him to bump his head onto the wall while I’m away.”

“Fine, fine. You’re so unromantic. I hope you won’t regret giving up this great opportunity to take advantage of him.” An chuckled.

“Fuck off. Hurry up. If he throws up in my room, I’ll kick him out…”

Of course, she’d never bear to kick Su Yu out; in fact, she was happy that Su Yu had come and drank with her when he was in a bad mood.

Su Yu was in bad shape and got tipsy quickly; his words were also unintelligible.

No matter how much she loved him, Han Yueyao would never take advantage of him while he was drunk. It just wasn’t right…

In less than 20 minutes, An came and took a sleepy Su Yu home.

“Han Yueyao, we’ll continue another day…” Su Yu didn’t want to admit defeat and wanted to continue the drinking contest another day.

Afraid he’d catch a cold, she tied one of her scarves around his neck despite his objections.

She helped An get him into the car and watched it drive away.

Putting on her coat, she bought some fruits and flowers and went to the hospital.

South Side Hospital.

Lin Hang was very glad to see Han Yueyao.

“It’s late, yet you still came.”

“Yeah. I heard you’re low in spirits.”

Han Yueyao remembered Lin Hang’s friend had called her during the day and said Lin Hang lost his temper after the dialysis today.

“Take a seat. Is it cold out there?” Lin Hang looked at her tenderly and asked.

“No. This winter is unusually warm. Of course, I’m a newcomer and don’t know it from experience. I heard it from the local news.”

“Yeah. There has been little snow this winter. It’s getting warmer each year…”

“Do you want to eat apple?”

“No.”

“Banana?”

Lin Hang shook his head…

“I’ll wash a pear for you. It’s good for your lungs.”

Before Lin Hang could say anything, she stood up with a pear and went to wash it in the washroom.

Wiping water drops from it, she handed it to him.

“Thank you, Yao.”

“Don’t mention it… Was today’s dialysis painful? I heard you were cranky today.”

Lin Hang lowered his head and took a small bite of the pear.

“Yao, I want to stop the treatment. I want to get out of the hospital.”

Hearing his words, Han Yueyao’s heart sank.

“Why? Your illness is not incurable. I’ll handle the money issue. Don’t worry.”

“It’s not about money. I just think I’d rather spend the last days of my life doing something I truly want than stay here suffering.”

“We can do it after you get better.” Han Yueyao soothed him.

“But I know I won’t get better. I don’t have many days left…”
