My Youth Began With Him

“Isn’t this mouse nest prepared by the company for the employees?”

Su Yu: …

“Is it a slap on face, huh? Hahahaha…”

“Don’t laugh like this. I can put a big goose egg into your mouth. Why don’t you pay attention to your image? Now the performers are trying hard to build images for themselves. Look at those popular female stars. One created the image of an eating machine for herself; one has the image of a dumb girl; one built herself the image of a straight-A student. Look at you.”

“I’ll make myself into Hinata. What do you think?” Han Yueyao smiled charmingly with her hands on her hips.

“Who?” Su Yu didn’t catch it.

“Hinata.”

“Who’s Hinata?” Su Yu had never heard of this name before.

“She’s Naruto’s wife in the popular Japanese anime Naruto…”

“Come here. I promise I won’t beat you to death…” Su Yu fumed.

He was talking about image building in show business, but she brought up anime; what a silly girl.

“Come on. President Su, have some water and calm down…”

Han Yueyao handed him a glass of water to soothe him.

“Didn’t you say you have alcoholic drinks?”

With the water glass in his hand, he glanced around and saw only a mini fridge in the corner.

It didn’t look like it could store many bottles of beer…

“Yes, I do.”

“I can drink at least seven bottles of beer. How many can your tiny fridge contain?” Su Yu asked doubtfully.

“Who said I have beer?” Han Yueyao rolled her eyes.

“What are we drinking?” Su Yu looked at her in puzzlement.

She squatted down and pulled something from under her bed.

Then a carton box appeared before them.

“Um…” Su Yu was at a loss for words.

She opened the box slowly and took out a small bottle.

“Jing Erguotou. Hahaha. 100 grams for each bottle and I have 12 bottles in the carton. Is it enough for you?” Han Yueyao shook the bottle at him.

“Where did you get these?”

Su Yu was stunned. It was the first time that he saw a girl storing a box of alcohol in her room. What kind of girl was she?

“My dad mailed them to me. You can’t buy them in the market. My dad made it with grains and put them in bottles. He makes some before the Spring Festival each year and gives it to friends and relatives as gifts. They love it. It tastes rich and fragrant. You can’t buy it.”

“Your dad is… awesome,” Su Yu said feelingly.

“The geniuses are in the grassroots. President Su, would you like to drink this?”

“Of course.”

Su Yu was low in spirits and wanted to dull his pain with alcohol.

“Okay. Let’s drink this. I’ll go get some small dishes to go with the drink.”

Then she went into the kitchen…

At a miraculous speed, she made four dishes to go with the alcohol.

Of course, they were the simplest dishes. One was a bag of Tippler’s Peanuts she had purchased in the supermarket; one was sliced ham; one was scrambled eggs she made in less than five minutes; the last one was chopped cucumber with ground garlic.

This was probably the crudest meal Su Yu had ever had.

No, the crudest meal should be the corn paste he had in Yunnan when they were on the run.

So, these were the crudest dishes he had with alcohol.

However, he liked them. Sitting on the stools at a small table, they began to drink the inexpensive Ergoutou.

“I know why you’re low in spirits. It’s because of Sister Mian, right?” Han Yueyao looked at him and asked.
