My Youth Began With Him

On the noisy road, a low-key luxury car passed by.

“Do you want to eat Haidilao?” Wei Liao asked his son.

His left eyelid had been twitching ever since he woke up this morning. At that time, he thought it was amusing. Was something good about to happen?

After all, his left eyelid was twitching. It meant good things were coming.

Later, when the company got busy, he didn’t pay much attention to this matter.

It wasn’t until his wife brought his son to the company that Wei Liao was dumbfounded. He couldn’t help but be pleasantly surprised.

Wei Yunchu had not returned to the country for five years. Regardless of the reason, as his parents, they would definitely feel uncomfortable.

Now that his son came back without warning and even showed up at the company, Wei Liao was naturally very excited.

Wei Yunchu and Gao Boyuan had completely different personalities. Gao Boyuan could even argue with his father or joke around with him.

Wei Yunchu had always been very sensible. His relationship with his father was very close.

Therefore, when Wei Yunchu first left the country, Wei Liao really wanted to visit Wei Yunchu five times with Jiang Xiaowei or even once every two months.

It was lunch break, so Wei Liao immediately put down his work and took his wife and son out for lunch.

When they passed by Haidilao, he specially asked his son if he wanted to eat that.

Neither he nor Jiang Xiaowei noticed a luxury car parked outside the hotpot restaurant.

That was GK’s president’s car, Pudding’s car.

She was actually here?

Wei Yunchu’s gaze deepened…

Was he going to meet her like this? What would happen if they met?

What kind of expression would she have? Would she be happy to see him return?

After pausing for a few seconds, Wei Yunchu shook his head. “Dad, I don’t want to eat hotpot.”

1

“Alright, let’s go to another one then.”

In the end, Wei Liao took his wife and son to a famous Sichuan restaurant for spicy pickled fish.

Wei Yunchu looked at the familiar and bustling street and felt emotional.

“Son, why are you suddenly back?”

Jiang Xiaowei glared at her husband. “You’re asking the obvious.”

Wei Yunchu smiled faintly and said nothing.

“Does Pudding know you’re back?” As expected, his father was a bit nosy.

Wei Yunchu pursed his lips. “She doesn’t know.”

“Then… when are you leaving?”

“Three days later,” Wei Yunchu said.

Wei Liao and Jiang Xiaowei froze.

“Why are you in such a hurry? Three days later… Isn’t that the night of Pudding and Little Bean’s coming-of-age ceremony?”

“Yes. I’m flying to Kyoto by plane at two in the morning, and then I’ll transfer to Berlin.”

“That’s such a hurry and it’s only three days… It’s too little. Can’t you stay for a few more days?” Jiang Xiaowei couldn’t bear to leave her son, and her eyes were red.

Wei Yunchu reached out his big hand and hugged his mother’s shoulders warmly.

“I also want to stay for a few more days, but there’s really a lot of work to do at the school. Didn’t I tell you… I signed up for a lot of classes this semester and even became an assistant to our mentor. I don’t want to delay the progress of the entire group for personal reasons.”

Wei Yunchu was an extremely independent person. In the five years that he had been abroad, he had never once said that he could not solve anything. He had never asked his parents to come.

Even though he was only 18 or 19 years old, at the same age as Pudding, he was already very mature.

In fact, many mature adults would not have the same mindset and ability as him.

“Have you prepared a gift for Pudding’s coming-of-age ceremony?” Jiang Xiaowei looked at her son with concern.

Jiang Xiaowei had watched Pudding grow up and knew the child’s personality too well.. Therefore, even if she wanted to bring the two kids together, she couldn’t do anything about it, not even Huo Mian could.
