My Youth Began With Him

After that hellish escape from being hunted, Lu Yan didn’t dare to not be strong and give up.

Because her father had said that she and he would work hard to endure all of this and give her elder sister an ordinary and stable life.

“You talk too much. Hurry up and eat. Then do your work.”

Lu Yan flicked Ah Lai’s head and finished the vermicelli in two bites.

Satisfied, she rubbed her belly and rose.

She had been in Jiang Nan for a week and had yet to find the person she was looking for.

It was said that the young master of White Heron Villa was mute and very quiet.

Someone had offered 500 million yuan to rip out his organs.

The White Heron Villa was originally a family of smugglers. It was said that there was an elder in the family who was a tomb digger and dug up many tombs.

Later on, he gradually stopped doing that and started smuggling artifacts.

Perhaps there was a saying that was especially true. Digging up ancestral graves was a violation of one’s morals.

Therefore, there were very few members in White Heron Villa’s Bai family. Even if there were men occasionally, they would not live.

When it reached Bai Jiuguang’s generation, it was even worse. His son, Bai Chang, was rumored to be a mute who had never opened his mouth to speak.

So maybe karma really came knocking?

Bai Jiuguang appeared to be a businessman on the surface, a low-key rich businessman from Jiangnan.

His family owned a decent porcelain business and had close connections with many countries in Southeast Asia.

In reality, all of this was just a cover. He was trying to conceal the true smuggling business.

It was said that he had a Tang dynasty four-faced Buddha. He had once sold it for a high price of 1.8 billion and shocked the world.

And with such a commotion, why wasn’t he targeted by the higher-ups?

This was what everyone thought was the strangest. That was why the Bai family was still very capable and they were able to become rich from the start of the Qing Dynasty and stand strong for a hundred years.

Lu Yan didn’t care about the personal grudges between her customer and the target.

As long as it did not violate her own principles, she would accept the job.

Also, the person Lu Yan had her eyes on wouldn’t be missed.

Therefore, although the cost of her mercenary team was very high, there were no failures.

The order was picked it up in Zambia.

The buyer first paid a hundred million deposit, specifically asking for the internal organs of Bai Chang, Bai Jiuguang’s only son.

Lu Yan had investigated Bai Chang, and she found it strange that he had no background other than being the eldest son of the Bai family.

At this thought, Lu Yan turned on her watch again and opened some documents.

Bai Chang, male, 25 years old. He was the only son of a wealthy merchant in Jiangnan, Bai Jiuguang. He was born mute and had an autistic personality. He lived in the Netherworld Mountain with his mother since he was young. Ten years ago, after his mother died from illness, he, who was only 15 years old, lived in the courtyard of the Netherworld Mountain until he was 20 years old when his father brought him to White Heron Villa.

In the past five years, very few people had seen him. It was as if he never cared about the family business or anyone else.

It was said that only when the Bai Clan offered sacrifices to their ancestors would he appear for a short moment.

Lu Yan had been in this city for quite some time, and had visited the White Heron Villa secretly several times.

But there was still no sign of the young master.

It was initially said that he would return that day, but she had just received news that the young master was ill.

It was autumn and the cold fog was heavy. It was said that he had caught a cold and stayed at the Netherworld Mountain Courtyard.

“Boss, just leave it to us. We’ll make a trip to Netherworld Mountain. We’ll leave after killing him. You can meet up with us at the airport,” said Jin Jue.

Lu Yan glanced at him. “Do you think you can enter Netherworld Mountain?”

Jin Jue was stunned. He used to be a North Korean soldier. Later on, he was almost executed for breaking military rules. He was rescued at the last minute and brought to a crazy military school. He was also one of the prey. Because he came from a mysterious country, he had a weird personality. He belonged to the type of people who wouldn’t be convinced about anyone other than Lu Yan.

Jin Jue thought that he was very skilled. His family’s kung fu was also the kind that could make people bow down to him.

But Lu Yan said that he couldn’t enter Netherworld Mountain. What was the meaning of this?

Hearing this, A Lai laughed, “Boss, could it be that there are many people guarding Netherworld Mountain?”
