My Youth Began With Him

“One serving of braised pig knuckle, one serving of steamed meat, one serving of cola chicken wings, and one serving of crispy fish.”

“D*mn, you girls don’t even eat vegetables. All four dishes are meat,” Gao Ran exclaimed.

“You’re not the one spending money, it’s good for you to talk less,” Zhu Lingling retorted.

“I…” Gao Ran was speechless.

Qin Chu glanced at Huo Mian calmly. “Keep ordering.”

“No, Lingling already ordered four, it already includes my share… You guys should do it, but don’t order too much. It’ll be a waste if we can’t finish it.”

“Hurry up, don’t waste time. Everyone order four dishes,” Qin Chu ordered.

“Hey, what’s wrong with our rich guy today? It seems like he treats his girlfriend really well… He’s so generous. I’ve known him for seven or eight years, but I’ve never seen him this generous. At most, he’ll treat me to a few pancakes…” Gao Ran complained.

“Say one more word and you’ll foot the bill,” Qin Chu said calmly.

Gao Ran immediately shut up.

Seeing that Qin Chu wasn’t joking, Huo Mian picked up the menu and looked at it.

She thought about how Lingling ordered so much meat just now, so she decided to order more vegetables.

As she looked at the menu, she said, “Vegetarian prawns, green pepper with eggs, stir-fried mushroom, uh… one more dry fried french beans.”

Then, Gao Ran took the menu and mumbled, “Fruit nut roast duck, garlic vermicelli steamed scallops, glutinous rice balls, and my favorite pickled pig ears.”

“You still called me shameless. You didn’t order non-meat dishes either. Didn’t you order four meat dishes too… Shameless.”

Zhu Lingling seized the opportunity to mock him.

“I’m a man, I’m not afraid of getting fat… You’re a girl, aren’t you afraid of becoming a pig?”

“If I become a pig, I’ll marry you… and give birth to a nest of piglets for you.”

“You’re really vicious…” Gao Ran looked at Zhu Lingling.

The two of them started arguing again, but Qin Chu acted like he didn’t hear them.

He quietly picked up the menu and looked at it for a while. Then, he ordered, “I want some fried river prawns, stir-fry fungus with scallions, lemon and melon, and chicken. I also want a bowl of beef soup.”

Huo Mian listened quietly; she thought that the dishes Qin Chu ordered were pretty good. They were all very unique.

After the waiter took away the menu, the four of them sat down and suddenly became quiet.

Actually, they were not that familiar with each other. If they were to force a conversation, it would be extremely awkward.

“Huo Mian, do you know that you’re the first girl Qin Chu liked, his first love? Haha…” Gao Ran was a complete gossip king.

“Oh my, really…” Zhu Lingling chuckled.

“We’re not like that…” Huo Mian still wanted to explain.

“Okay, okay. Don’t worry, we’re all on the same side. We won’t expose you two… But, you two have to be more restrained in class. Don’t be too intimate with each other. After all, the school is very strict. I’ve heard that if they catch your puppy love, you will be punished. If it’s serious, you might even be expelled.”

“It doesn’t matter… With our grades, even if we leave Second High School, a lot of schools will fight to get us… You can even ask the principal if he dares to expel us.”

Qin Chu rarely bragged, and what he said this time was also true. Everyone knew that when Huo Mian first came to Second High, it was the principal who had personally visited her several times to persuade her.

In the end, she came only because of a very good offer. How could the school bear to give up such a talent?

“So, once you have something on the school, you two can do whatever you want… This is the first time I’ve seen someone who’s good at studying be so awesome… It’s like the sun and the sky are side by side…” Gao Ran laughed mischievously.

“So right now, only the top students have the right to be in a relationship, but not the bad students?” Zhu Lingling understood what Qin Chu meant, and her face immediately turned bitter.
