My Youth Began With Him

“Killing dream creators is the same as them killing you. Just like in the real world, the damage they do to you is real, so is the damage you do to them…”

Upon hearing this, Su Yu’s mood immediately improved.

“Master, do you mean that I just have to take actions against them normally?”

“Yes, it is not difficult to kill a dream creator. As long as you remain clear-headed and know that you are dreaming, no matter how they create an illusion, it is useless against you. The problem now is how to find a dream creator. If you kill the wrong person, it doesn’t matter if it is a made-up person, but if it is a real person who entered the dream, it is equivalent to killing the innocent… Let me say something more cruel. In order to not expose their identities, a dream creator might pretend to be your friend. If you can’t differentiate between the two and kill your own friend, I’m afraid you will suffer more than anyone else…”

Master Wu didn’t want to say this before because he didn’t want Su Yu to feel bad.

As expected, after he finished speaking, Su Yu became listless.

Su Yu suddenly realized how serious this problem was.

To put it bluntly, what if the dream creator took on the form of Tang Chuan, Wei Liao, Gao Ran, and Lingling, how was he going to take actions against them?

What if he killed the wrong person and really killed his friend? Wouldn’t that be a heinous crime?

“Hey, that’s not right, Master. It doesn’t make sense…” Su Yu’s brain was working at high speed.

He suddenly felt that something was amiss.

“What doesn’t make sense?”

“Dream creators can’t become Mian and Qin Chu because they’re the main characters in the dream. Aren’t those artificial dreams designed to make the real person enter the dream? So, the important characters can’t be fake, right?”

“Yeah, you’re really smart… I’ll take back the ‘stupid donkey’ nickname I gave you earlier.”

At this moment, Master Wu was full of admiration for Su Yu. This kid was indeed outstanding.

“So, what I’m saying is, we’ve eliminated quite a few possibilities… If it’s really like what you said and he’s pretending to be my friend, if he’s pretending to be Old Wei, then what about the real Old Wei? Old Wei has already entered the dream…”

When Wei Liao and Jiang Xiaowei didn’t pick up, Su Yu knew that the couple must have fallen for it.

If the original person entered the dream, how would the dream creator pretend to be the real one? Wouldn’t there be two Wei Liao in the dream?

Master Wu laughed and said, “Your theory is correct, but have you thought about it… Your friend might have been lured into the dream by the dream creator and imprisoned in a certain place. He has never shown his face nor met you before. What if the person who met you was a dream creator?”

Upon hearing this, Su Yu suddenly realized what was going on and felt a chill run down his spine.

That was a really scary way…

“Alright, I understand. Master, you just have to be responsible for sending me back. Leave the rest to me.”

Su Yu looked at the sky outside; the sun was about to set, and he really didn’t have much time left.

“Kid, if you want to go back on your word now, it’s not too late… You’re not Lei Feng, you don’t have to sacrifice yourself for the country and the people… Isn’t there an old saying among the people? Every man for himself. Are you really not thinking for yourself? You’re not married yet, and you’re the only grandson in the Su family. You didn’t even leave a child for your family…”

Master Wu seemed to have a deep understanding of the Su Family’s situation, and his words seemed to be telling Su Yu to consider it carefully. Once he entered the dream, there was no turning back.
