My Youth Began With Him

“What problem?”

Lin Ya turned her head and looked at Messiah expressionlessly.

“Miss Leila seems to have been imprisoned in a house by Qin Chu…”

“Hehe. She’s useless…” Lin Ya smiled mockingly.

“Miss Leila doesn’t dare to unleash her super-natural power in public because you told her not to. It would be dangerous to do that in China; if she alarmed the local government, she might be caught and become an object of experiment.”

“That’s why I said she’s useless. I gave her so many special abilities, but she knows nothing but how to eat children… Useless thing,” Lin Ya berated.

“Shall we help her?” Messiah asked in a small voice.

“No. If she can’t solve this small problem, I don’t care what happens to her.”

Lin Ya was very cold to Leila.

Huo Mian always said Lin Ya didn’t deserve to be a mother since the latter was heartless to her.

But she didn’t see Lin Ya’s attitude toward Leila; if she did, she’d know how heartless Lin Ya could be.

“Yes, Master.”

Seeing Lin Ya didn’t care about Leila’s problems, Messiah wasn’t surprised.

In the past, when Lin Ya missed her daughter, she’d be kind to Leila occasionally since she took her as Huo Mian’s substitute.

Now that Huo Mian was by her side, she no longer cared for Leila at all.

Leila was, after all, one of her experiments, and as she said, a flawed experiment.

Although Leila had super-natural physical strength and speed and Huo Mian’s looks, she didn’t have a human brain or the excellent genes that Huo Mian had inherited from the professor and Lin Ya.

Leila didn’t have any medical knowledge, but Huo Mian was a genius.

Despite Lin Ya’s selfishness, she was still good to Huo Mian who was, after all, her biological daughter.

In fact, Lin Ya’s love for Huo Mian was similar to Huo Siqian’s.

They all thought they loved Huo Mian and wanted to give her the best but never cared about what she wanted.

“Where’s Mian?” Lin Ya’s eyes softened as she mentioned Huo Mian.

“Miss Mian is having breakfast.”

“How is her appetite?”

“It’s good. She ate a lot and seems to be in a good mood.”

“Okay. I’ll go and see her.”

Lin Ya walked toward Huo Mian’s room and Messiah followed her without a word.

Lin Ya had the most beautiful oriental face and no matter what she wore, she looked radiant.

Huo Mian thought Lin Ya looked distant when she was dressed like a queen, but even when she wore ordinary clothes, she still looked inaccessible due to her extreme beauty.

In her room, Huo Mian sat at the table with dozens of plates of breakfast before her; they were of different styles of cuisine from across the world and tasted delicious.

She had been here for days and found the people here didn’t eat human food; at least she had never seen Messiah eat anything.

They prepared breakfast, lunch, and supper only for her.

At the beginning, she had been sulky with thoughts of leaving here and dislike for Lin Ya; she had almost no appetite for food.

But as the baby remained quiet after the date of delivery, she got worried and began eating more to gain energy for herself and the baby.

When Lin Ya came in, Huo Mian was eating wonton noodles with gusto.

“Mian, you have a good appetite. Do you like the wonton noodles?” Lin Ya asked with a smile.
