My Youth Began With Him

“So, you can’t treat her like this. She even mentioned divorce. It sounds serious, huh?”

Su Yu tried to persuade Qin Chu to have a good talk with his wife.

“Divorce? Hehe. She told you that?” Qin Chu sneered.

“Of course, she didn’t mean it. She’s just angry with you, I guess,” Su Yu explained.

“I guess.”

“You’re a man. No matter if she’s right or wrong, I think you should apologize to her. Mian hasn’t had an easy life in the past years… I hope you won’t take it the wrong way, but I have to remind you that Mian had a hard life in those three years when she managed GK for you and took care of the twins by herself… Yeah, Tang Chuan, Xiaowei, and I tried our best to help her but mostly she was on her own. It’s not her fault that the baby was lost. I told you it’s my fault. She lost the baby while she tried to rescue me. I hope you won’t take it out on her.”

“I won’t take it out on her. Mian had talked to me before she went to your rescue. I have no problem with that.”

“Then why did you two fight?”

“Probably because she feels vulnerable lately. I’ll have a talk with her.”

“Good. I think you two will solve the problem with a good talk.”

“Okay.”

Qin Chu nodded to everything Su Yu said.

After the lunch, Qin Chu left first, saying, “Don’t forget to pay the bill.”

“Huh? I thought it was on you.” Su Yu was surprised.

“Didn’t you say you’re richer than me? So, I’ll leave the opportunity of paying the bill to you, a rich guy.”

“Damn… Qin Chu, you’re a despicable capitalist.”

Su Yu didn’t know he should cry or laugh. Who’d think the great president of the GK Group would refuse to pay a bill?

But he felt pleased because Qin Chu’s behavior showed that they were close.

Instead of doubting each other, they trusted each other; Qin Chu even was in the mood to joke with him.

“Waiter, bring me the bill.”

“President Su, the bill is 680 yuan.”

“Here.”

Su Yu handed the waiter several 100-yuan bills; then he picked up his cellphone and put a post on Moments.

“Guys, President Qin promised to treat me with a meal, but he fled after the meal and made me pay the bill. Hahaha. He tricked me. I think I should go to his house tonight and grab a blue-and-white porcelain vase to pay him back.”

Qin Chu left a sly comment under the post, “If President Su doesn’t mind a replica, he’s welcome to try.”

Su Yu replied, “You’re very good. To stop me from taking them, you even changed all your porcelain vases into replicas.”

Tang Chuan: Hahahaha. “My brother-in-law is awesome.”

Su Yu replied to Tang Chuan, “Whose side are you on?”

Tang Chuan replied to him, “Ever since I got married, I’ve been a member of the Qin Family, alive or dead.”

Su Yu replied, “Shame on you. Just wait until I see you.”

Pudding posted a comment, “My daddy has been playful lately. He never refuses to pay bills. Handsome Su, you’re the winner.”

Su Yu replied to Pudding, “Your words sound strange. Whose side are you on?”

Little Bean commented, “Handsome Su, if you buy me a dirty bun, I’ll pretend to be on your side.” (

Su Yu was exasperated. “Pretend? Little Bean, come out and I’ll give you a good beating. You’ll only pretend to be on my side even if I buy you a dirty bun? Our friendship is as fake as plastic flowers.”

Little Bean replied, “Hahaha. Wrong. Our friendship is as fragile as glass.”

Su Yu replied, “Kiddo, you’re adding insult to injury, right? I’ll tell Boyuan you went to have desserts with the popular boy in your school last Wednesday after school.”
