My Youth Began With Him

Yu, I’m not some innocent little girl, don’t glorify me like that.”

“Even then, don’t get close to Jiang Ye, you know that? He’s not a good influence； Su Yu warned her seriously.

“I know that.”

“If you knew it, why would you sit down to have tea with him? Really…”

“So, you got here in the nick of time because my Little Bean snitched. Is that correct?”

“Uh…” Su Yu didn’t know what to say. He wanted to lie, but Huo Mian would not believe it. She was too smart.

“That’s unimportant. What is important is that you’re too dumb to see other people playing you.”

“Who is playing me?” Huo Mian smiled.

“Are you still talking to Huo Yanyan?” Su Yu changed the topic.

“Not really, we barely talk on Wechat.”

“Mhm.”

“What? Why bring her up out of the blue?” Huo Mian found that strange.

“Don’t contact her unless you really have to.”

“Did you find out something?” Huo Mian thought that Su Yu would never say things like this out of nowhere.

“Last time… I was drinking with Shen Mingxi. We talked about something, I got angry and beat him up. Our friendship has sunk.”

“Huh? You and Mr. Shen?” Huo Mian was shocked.

“Yep.”

“Why?”

You were the reason.”

“Me? How does it relate to me? I don’t want the blame.” Huo Mian clasped her teacup and looked innocent.

“Shen Mingxi said that he and Huo Yanyan asked you to see Huo Siqian.”

“Ah… That?” After Huo Mian heard that, her expression looked unnatural.

You must be hung up over it. After all… You really don’t like Huo Siqian,” Su Yu asked.

“My dislike of Huo Siqian isn’t the problem. What bothered me were their actions… I’ve told Huo Yanyan not to mess with Huo Siqian because she’s no match for him, and as a result, she… Ah…” Huo Mian sighed and stopped speaking.

Su Yu could guess and continued her words.

“As a result, Huo Yanyan uses Shen Mingxi as a shield and tries to execute her revenge foolishly. She brought it upon herself, right?”

“Mmm.” Huo Mian nodded.

“What was the most frustrating was that you had to clean up after them.” Su Yu was incredibly furious.

“She saved my daughters, I owed her one, haha,” Huo Mian hopelessly chuckled.

“Bullshit, did Huo Yanyan not consider who was the one kidnapping the twins? It was Huo Siyi. She says that she helped you, that she saved your daughters. In reality, she knows that if anything happened to the twins, Qin Chu and I would kill Huo Siyi and his entire family.”

“Let it go, Yu. Don’t talk about the past.”

“Mhm, and don’t interfere with Huo Yanyan’s business anymore. That woman, she’s not worth your help,” Su Yu advised Huo Mian.

“Yu, you overestimate me. She doesn’t need my help, she’s got Young Master Shen.” Huo Mian smiled meekly.

“I have a bad premonition…” Su Yu slowly said.

“What premonition?” Huo Mian asked, puzzled.
