My Youth Began With Him

Pudding said, “Good idea.”

Little Bean answered, “Come at me, I’m not scared of you.”

Pudding answered, “Qin Mumu, listen here, it’s best of one. If you lose, don’t say that it’s best of three or other stupid stuff like that.”

Little Bean replied, “Don’t worry, I’m true to my word.”

Pudding said, “The problem is that you are never true to your word. How can I trust you?”

Little Bean replied, “Can you stop throwing shade?”

Three, two, one…

“Rock, paper, scissors,” the sisters said simultaneously.

Pudding had paper and Little Bean had rock.

You lost, Mommy. Nantian Springs, thank you.” After speaking, Pudding sat back to play her game.

“Mommy, why do I always lose?” Little Bean made a sad face.

“You always use rock. Why can’t you change it up?” Huo Mian smiled and looked at Little Bean from the rearview mirror.

“I didn’t know that Pudding was so crazy. She always uses paper, I thought she would change it for sure,” Little Bean pouted.

“Yeah, and your sister knew you would think that way and thus predicted your move,” Huo Mian explained.

“Okay, okay. Everyone except me is a genius. I can’t fight, I admit defeat.”

Little Bean hugged her chest and looked out the window.

“You want to see Uncle Su so badly?” Huo Mian felt bad for her younger daughter.

“Of course, I am not heartless like her. She’s getting close to Wei Yunchu, so she’s lost all her feelings for Handsome Su,” Little Bean provoked.

“Don’t give me that, I don’t go to Imperial Star because I don’t want to interrupt Handsome Su’s work. I miss him as much as you do.”

They argued and argued, driving Huo Mian crazy. Finally, she obeyed her older daughter’s wishes and drove to Nantian Springs.

Nantian Springs was founded by the Wei Family. Jiang Xiaowei and Wei Yunchu liked to come very often.

When Huo Mian arrived, she texted Jiang Xiaowei. Sadly, she had to work overtime, and Wei Yunchu was at his grandmother’s house. They couldn’t come.

As for Zhu Lingling and her family, they went to the Maldives because Gao Ran got a year-end vacation.

Huo Mian and her two daughters changed into a bathing suit and went to the rose bath.

The water wasn’t as warm, and she was scared that the kids would catch a cold. Huo Mian rose, walked to the service center and wanted to request a temperature change.

She didn’t think that she would encounter a familiar face.

“Doctor Huo.”

“You…” seeing Jiang Ye surprised Huo Mian.

If she remembered correctly, he should’ve been back in the capital by now. Since Mo Xue’er’s death, Huo Mian hadn’t seen him.

“What a coincidence! You’re here for the hot spring too?” he was wearing a white bathrobe with a can of coke in hand. “Mhm, my daughters like it here. It’s the weekend so I brought them here to have fun.”

“Your husband isn’t here?” Jiang Ye laughed and asked.

“He has to work overtime today.”

“Is he really? I saw quite a few scandals surrounding your company, I heard it all the way from the capital…” Jiang Ye said.

“That’s what the media does. You’re in the entertainment circle, you should know how much they love blowing stuff up to grab headlines and views. Half of it is true and the other half is false,” Huo Mian said.

“I haven’t seen you for a while, let’s have a drink,” Jiang Ye extended an invitation.

“I don’t drink,” Huo Mian refused.

“It’s not wine, my Doctor Huo. I’m talking about tea, and I have some inquiries.”

Huo Mian hesitated for a bit before nodding. “Okay.”

Nearby, somebody was taking pictures with a camera. Huo Mian had noticed them long ago, otherwise, she wouldn’t have agreed to have tea with Jiang Ye.

She thought, “Fine, Huo Siqian, I’ll give you what you want to see.”
