My Youth Began With Him

“Okay then.”

Seeing Huo Mian finally agree made Su Yu beam as his mood rose.

– Inside the Hong Kong restaurant –

Su Yu ordered a table full of food, but Huo Mian had no appetite and touched very little.

Su Yu ordered the server to stew her some bird’s nest.

“You don’t look well… You really need to get some sleep.” Su Yu ate while looking at Huo Mian.

Huo Mian rubbed her face and forced a smile. “I can’t sleep.”

“Say, did your mom name you Huo Mian back then because she wanted you to sleep more?” Su Yu smiled. (TL Note: Mian means sleep in Chinese)

Huo Mian was speechless.

“You’re joking, you’re supposed to be the president of Imperial Star. You’re not mature at all.”

“Hahaha, I’m trying to make you laugh, no?” Smiling, Su Yu put a shrimp dumpling on her plate. “Try this, it’s not half bad… it’s really fresh.”

Huo Mian didn’t want to refuse him, so she picked it up and took a bite…

Suddenly, she felt stomach acid coming up, becoming very uncomfortable.

Seeing Huo Mian’s expression change made Su Yu panic. “What’s wrong, are you okay?”

Huo Mian nodded, but Su Yu probed on, “But your face…”

“I’m fine, I just don’t have much of an appetite. I can’t eat, but you should.”

Then, Huo Mian stopped eating and drank some water.

Su Yu felt bad seeing her like this…

He wanted to treat Huo Mian and make her eat more. However, she barely even touched the dishes in front of her.

After dinner, the two walked out of the restaurant.

“I’ll take you to Wei Liao’s place, you will be safer with Xiaowei,” Su Yu worryingly said.

“No. Huo Siqian isn’t an idiot, he’s not going to harass me for the next few days.”

“I’m still worried…”

“Trust me, no one knows him better than I do.”

“Okay, remember, the trial is two days from now.”

“Okay…” Huo Mian nodded.

“Stay strong.”

“I will.” Huo Mian raised her head and smiled, and that smile made Su Yu’s heartache…

He felt bad for Huo Mian, who was forced to deal with everything alone.

“Then I’ll take you back to Sky Blessing Court.”

“My car’s by Third Ring Road.”

“It’s fine, I’ll drive you to your front door.” Su Yu nodded.

“Okay, thank you so much, Young Master Su,” Huo Mian joked.

“Don’t drag on, get on the car.”

Su Yu treated Huo Mian as a really important person; even though she didn’t accept his feelings, he still wanted to treat her the best he could.

He wanted to protect her…

He saw a movie on television a few days ago named ‘Sweet Sixteen’.

One line touched him a lot…

The main character said that there were two types of happiness in the world, one was being with your loved one. The other was if you couldn’t achieve the first type of happiness, you could still make the person you love happy forever…

Su Yu thought that it was impossible for him to be with Huo Mian at this point.

So, he was content watching Huo Mian be happy.

If Huo Mian was happy, he would be happy…

When they arrived at Sky Blessing Court, it was already one in the morning.

Surprisingly, there were a lot of people at their house…

Jiang Xiaowei, Wei Liao, Gao Ran, and Zhu Lingling were all there…

“What are you doing here… Having a conference?” Huo Mian smiled.

“Girl, where were you at? You weren’t picking up your phone nor responding to our WeChat messages.” Zhu Lingling looked at Huo Mian, her expression filled with worry.

“My phone died and I was out running errands.” Huo Mian lowered her head, checked her phone, and found it out of battery.

“Ah, that was scary… Xiaowei and I called so many times and you didn’t pick up… We were scared that you were in trouble and looked for you everywhere. In the end, we decided to wait for you here,” Zhu Lingling spoke at a quickened pace.
