Child of Destiny

Chapter 1965: Fighting the Unforgiven Ones (Part 3)

…

Seeing that the others were starting to get seriously affected by the poison, the leading Unforgiven One could not help but think about how such a thing had happened.

He was sure that Shin had not done anything else when fighting the group. He had been keeping a close eye on the trio, making sure that no accidents would happen.

From what he had seen up until now, Shin had not done anything suspicious. Aside from using multiple elemental spells alongside his strange, ever-changing sword style, there seemed to be nothing else worth noting about his actions.

Naturally, the thick fog that he had summoned earlier and the array that he had set up right after that were quite special as well.

“Wait!? The fog!?” the leading Unforgiven One then suddenly thought of something when he thought about the fog earlier.

“It is the fog! A poison was mixed in it!” he then realized where the problem lay, especially after recalling how they had dispersed it earlier.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

While he was thinking about this, the situation in the battle started to tilt against their favor.

Shin and the other two might not have the ability to instant finish off these Unforgiven Ones, especially with their powerful regenerative abilities and strong tenacity. But seriously injuring them should not be a problem when they put their minds to it.

Adding that the opposing group was currently under the intense effects of the poison that Shin had spread earlier, regenerating from those injuries would at least take quite some time.

With their abilities, incapacitating this group should not be as challenging as killing them off.

“Retreat!” ordered the leading Unforgiven One while charging forward.

Bang!

With a powerful stomp into the ground, he propelled himself forward and flew straight to Leonard, who was in the middle of swinging his huge battleaxe.

Swoosh!

Sensing the incoming threat, Leonard swiftly turned his body around while also changing the trajectory of his swing, directing it toward the incoming ambush.

Boom!

“Argh!” Leonard felt that his arms were turning numb due to the strong force behind the attack.

Bang!

Fortunately, his body was sturdy enough to withstand it. Adding the additional strength that he was getting from Shin and Arthur through the Link Strengthening Array, his physical prowess should not be that much weaker than his opponent’s.

Swoosh!

The leader of the opposing group could not help but frown deeply after seeing the result of the collision. He might still have overpowered Leonard, but the difference in their strength seemed to be far from what it was supposed to be.

That punch should be strong enough to send Leonard flying, but the latter was also pushed several meters back, which was far from the outcome that he was expecting.

He was about to give change, planning to strike Leonard with another powerful strength, but he immediately halted his actions when someone suddenly appeared beside him.

Roar!

Arthur swiftly responded to his sudden attack. He charged straight ahead while covering his body with intense Divine Dragon Force, which swiftly turned into a huge dragon head as he thrust his spear forward.

Roar!

“Hmph!” he snorted after seeing the attack.

He raised his fist and pulled it behind his shoulders before thrusting it forward, throwing a devastating punch.

Boom!

A massive explosion immediately erupted right after the two forces clashed against one another.

Swoosh!

Arthur was strongly pushed back upon the collision, signifying the difference in their strength. But he was not discouraged since he could feel that the gap was not that huge, given that he was not sent flying.

“Voss!” shouted this leading Unforgiven One, calling out for the other Void Manifestation Stage Unforgiven One.

“On it, Captain!” responded that Unforgiven One, suddenly appearing behind Arthur and swiftly attacking the latter with his pair of daggers.

This ambush was perfectly timed, not giving Arthur any time to respond. His daggers were already cutting through the air and heading straight to Arthur’s arms before the latter could even sense his presence.

Bang!

Unfortunately, the ground between the two suddenly flew upwards, erecting a thick wall of earth that blocked the incoming strike.

Shin had also made his move, seeing the situation.

Bang!

Earth wall was instantly destroyed by that powerful attack coming from Voss, but the expression on his face was quite solemn, especially after seeing that his target was already turning toward him and skillfully using the spinning momentum to throw a powerful thrust at him.

Roar!

The head of the golden dragon appeared once again, opening its mouth wide and trying to engulf its target.

Swoosh!

Voss executed a mysterious foot and disappeared from his current position right before the dragon could even eat him.

Boom!

The powerful beam of golden light flew through his previous location when Arthur fully extended his arm forward and sent the golden dragon out.

The Unforgiven One Captain had already moved at that point and charged straight to Arthur, who was much nearer than Leonard.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

However, before he could even reach his target, he heard a series of heavy steps coming his way.

When he turned his head toward the source of those sounds, he saw a series of deep footprints on the ground rapidly approaching him.

Swoosh!

He then swiftly raised his arms, covering them with thick Qi Armor, after seeing Leonard suddenly appearing right before him and swinging the huge battleaxe forward.

Roar!

The apparition of a primordial beast in the form of a crimson lion appeared behind Leonard for a very brief period before suddenly pouncing forward and biting on the Unforgiven One Captain.

‘Supreme Blood Sutra: Killing Move – Savage Annihilation’

Boom!

The Unforgiven One Captain could not help but feel a bit surprised after blocking the attack. He was forced to take a couple of steps back, trying to relieve the strain that he had gotten from the impact, which signified that the power behind Leonard’s attack was not something he could scoff off.

This power was way different from what Leonard had shown earlier when fighting the other Unforgiven Ones.

“These brats dare to play a trick on us?” The Captain immediately realized what was happening. The three were most likely trying to hide their real strength, planning to catch them off guard.

Boom!

Enraged, he suddenly summoned a much stronger flow of Evil Powers from his body, channeling them toward his arms before throwing a series of punches.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Each punch carried a very powerful force, seemingly capable of annihilating everything on its path.

It was clear that he no longer cared whether to catch these kids alive, planning to teach them a lesson that they would never forget.

If Leonard tried to face this attack head-on, then he would most likely get overwhelmed by them and be buried by their might.

Fortunately, he was not alone.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The ground between the two suddenly flew up and summoned a series of earth ramparts alongside an array of ice walls that blocked most of the punches.

This gave Leonard enough time to respond and more leeway to confront the incoming barrage of punches by swinging his battleaxe multiple times.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

His swings left a series of crimson flashes in the air, along with eerie cries of a devil and deafening roars of a beast reverberating in the air.

Wail!

Roar!

Each swing carried a powerful force, which also gathered more momentum for every swing he did. The swings were getting stronger in every collision he made against the barrage of attacks from his opponent.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

While Leonard was too focused on the exchanges, Voss’ figure suddenly materialized behind him, taking advantage of the situation to launch a deadly ambush.

Roar!

Unfortunately, a golden dragon suddenly appeared right at the same time, seemingly waiting to greet him.

“Tsk!” Annoyed, Voss could only abandon his plan and escape once again.

It was not like he could not afford to be hit by this attack. Given his strength, he was more than capable of tanking such an attack.

But since they were currently poisoned, he could not take such a risk, which could later cause them serious consequences.

Swoosh!

Utilizing his mysterious footwork once again, he suddenly disappeared for another time.

Flap! Flap! Flap!

But right after avoiding that attack from Arthur, Voss suddenly found himself surrounded by a bunch of talismans, which were floating in the air and releasing an intense light.

Snap!

With a snap of his fingers, Shin detonated all the talismans.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions immediately filled the air, signifying how powerful those talismans were.

The three would not dare to underestimate their opponents, especially because they were much more powerful than they were.

They did not hold anything back, using their strongest move in each attack they threw at their opponents, not caring about their stamina or anything else.

This batch of talismans that he had thrown at Voss was among the stack that his mother had given him before he headed out for this mission.

His mother told him that they should be effective, but he was not sure how powerful they were.

Aside from the few that she said could be used even against those who were at the Domain Realm and equivalent stage, he was planning to use everything he had for this fight.

He wanted to save the most powerful ones later. After all, they still did not know when that powerful expert, who had brought them here, would come back.

It was better to save a couple of trump cards later when more powerful ‘bosses’ appeared.

“Did that get him!?” he mumbled while staring intently at the center of the explosion.

Right at the same time, he suddenly heard Arthur and Leonard, who were trying to team up against the captain, simultaneously cursing at him.

“F*ck!”

“You’ve just jinxed it!”

“What?” Shin then turned to them with a look of full confusion, not understanding what they meant at first.

But his eyes later turned wide when he sensed a deadly presence suddenly appearing behind him.

“Shoot!” cursing a little, he urged all his powers and channeled them toward his swords, summoning a multicolored lightning.

Crackle! Crackle! Crakle!

At the same time, he spun as fast as he could while also swinging his swords behind him, leaving an intense lightning trail on their path.

The swords turned into flashes of lightning that cut through the air before clashing against the multiple slashes coming his way.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Bang!

Not long after, he was pushed back for dozens of meters after receiving a powerful strike at the end.

Raising his head, he looked at his opponent and could not help but curse a little after seeing their current appearance. “What kind of abomination is it this time?”
