Child of Destiny

Chapter 1961: Predicament

...

Shin, Arthur, and Leonard were unstoppable on the battlefield, charging through everything and slaughtering their way toward the said packages.

Now that the strongest forces of the opposing side were being held back by their seniors and elders, no one could stop their advances.

They looked like a group of wolves amid the flock of sheep.

The agents of the Black Serpent Mafia were unable to do anything to them despite relying on the Artificial Mutants that were assisting them.

But when the three were about to reach their destination, something unexpected happened.

Another third party joined the prey!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

A group of people suddenly appeared from a different direction and started attacking everyone around them.

It did not matter if they were from the Black Serpent Mafia or from the Magic Ace Academy; everyone was nothing but targets in their eyes.

These newcomers were moving in a very organized way as well. There was a group of elites fighting at the front, while those from behind were busy securing the Artificial Mutants that they had taken down.

Seeing their actions, the opposing side was able to instantly guess the identity of these people.

”People of the Hextech Laboratory!” mumbled Joaquin after seeing these people.

The situation was now a bit tricky. After all, the main target of these people was the youngsters from the Magic Ace Academy.

For these lunatics, getting their hands on the package from the Black Serpent Mafia was nothing but a bonus reward.

However, he was not much worried about the kids since he could not find any experts on the level of Domain Realm or Venerable Realm on their side.

There were quite a few Void Manifestation Stage Experts, but they did not seem to be very powerful. Shin and the others would be able to handle them at the very least.

From what he could see, it seemed like these guys just stumbled into this place by accident while hiding from their pursuers, just like their group.

They must have decided to make their move after seeing that the Monster Trio were about to succeed in getting their hands on the packages.

They had to take the advantage of the chaos, gambling their luck with this move.

Joaquin still understood that there were still some experts on the same level hiding somewhere, waiting for the right opportunity to make their move. He could not lower his guard with such a threat hiding in the dark.

Belladonna, on the other hand, was wearing a solemn expression after seeing such a development. Their hands were already full of these people from the Magic Ace Academy, so adding these lunatics from the Hextech Laboratory would make this more chaotic.

On the brighter side, the situation was a bit better for them since those guys could at least make it harder for the younglings from the Magic Ace Academy to secure the vessel and the sacred pill.

But, on the other hand, it would also become a bit troublesome for them if these people managed to get their hands on those two packages.

...

The trio of Shin, Arthur, and Leonard could not help but pause their tracks for a moment after seeing the sudden development of the situation.

Shin frowned when he saw that those people from Hextech Laboratory were making their way toward Cloe and Lorraine, who were currently busy dealing with the agents of the Black Serpent Mafia surrounding them.

”Leo, go lend them a hand. But be careful, those guys are obviously targeting us,” said Shin before sweeping his gaze at the surroundings.

After seeing that no one else needed immediate assistance, he quickly turned and continued heading toward the packages that were lying on the ground.

”Cover me, I’ll be increasing the pace,” said Shin before further accelerating his speed.

Arthur just shrugged his shoulders and sprinted forward as well, catching up to Shin immediately after.

The two worked together and were able to reach their target not long after. However, they also found a troublesome situation immediately after.

The coffin was somewhat broken due to the previous punch that Joaquin had thrown when he ambushed Belladonna earlier. There were a few cracks on the surface of the coffin that made the dense Demonic Energy leak out from it.

This leakage then made Shin unable to approach it fully. That vessel sealed within the coffin was starting to affect him, even starting to resonate with his Seed of Hatred.

Along with the leaking Demonic Energy from the seal within his body, a certain link started forming between the two.

Seeing the expression on Shin’s face, Arthur could not help but halt his tracks as well and turned to him. ”What’s wrong?”

Shin was about to respond when Uno’s voice rang inside his head. [Let that descendant of an overgrown lizard use his colorful flame to burn the leaking energy from the coffin! Then use the talismans that the Mistress has given you.]

Shin slightly nodded, ignoring the sarcastic remarks that Uno had given Arthur, before turning to his brother. ”Use your Imperial Flame! I’ll seal it after.”

Arthur quickly responded and summoned a multicolored flame from his hands and threw them toward the coffin.

Swoosh!

This was not exactly his unique version of Natural Force. It was the unique powers that came from his bloodline, the Springfield Family’s Imperial Flame.

The members of the Springfield Family must fuse this flame to their unique Internal Qi and create their version of Natural Force, just like Shiella’s Flame Emperor Force.

Arthur’s version was just much stronger than the rest of the family because his bloodline was much denser in comparison.

Bang!

An intense reaction immediately erupted right after the multicolored flame and dark miasma coming from the coffin met. The two forces clashed against one another, causing mild explosions.

Arthur was caught a bit off guard when he saw the intense collision between the two energies, especially after seeing that his flames were on the losing side. It was only at that moment that he remembered that this Demonic Energy was not simple. It was supposed to be at the Primal Demonic Power level.

Realizing this, Arthur infused more Qi into his flames and further strengthened them while fighting against the Demonic Energy.

He was somewhat sweating when he realized that the Demonic Energy was becoming more stubborn, making him put more effort into it.

Meanwhile, Shin was currently protecting Arthur so that the latter could focus more on his job. Even if he was somewhat affected by the Demonic Energy coming out of the coffin, he was still able to handle these guys rushing at them.

Moreover, Uno was helping him suppress the Seed of Hatred, making it less restless.

Seeing that the two were having trouble, the rest of the team quickly rushed toward their direction to lend a hand.

Lorraine was the first to provide them some assistance, giving them cover fire with her guns. Molton and Jillian also moved toward their direction, blocking those who were attempting to reach the two, along with Alice.

At the same time, those from the Black Serpent Mafia and Hextech Laboratory also responded, converging toward the same direction.

They seemed to have a tacit agreement as well, solely targeting those from the Magic Ace Academy to apply more pressure to the opposing side.

The seniors wanted to lend Shin and the others a hand, but their respective opponents also understood that the tides of the battle were turning.

Fortunately, Arthur was finally able to suppress the leaking Demonic Energy before the situation became more serious.

”Now!” shouted Arthur, calling out for Shin while also kicking the coffin into the air.

Shin responded almost instantly as well, quickly sheathing his sword and swiftly taking out a stack of talismans from his dimensional bag.

He was not sure if his mother had foreseen this to give him such talismans meant for sealing, along with the more offensive ones.

From what he knew, his mother could not foresee any future that involved him and his father for some reason, which was why he was quite curious about what exactly his mother did.

Regardless, he focused on the task at hand. He swiftly infused his Divinity Grade Mental Energy into the talismans before quickly throwing them toward the coffin immediately after.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Controlling them with his Mental Energy, the talismans flew forward and spiraled in the air before swiftly sticking themselves into the coffin and tightly wrapping themselves around it.

At the same time, he also did a series of hand gestures in the air as if he were drawing something.

Whoosh!

Rune after rune then shot out from his hands and wrapped themselves into the coffin, further enhancing the seal cast on it.

’Four Symbol Scripture: Divine Beasts Unification – Heaven Sealing’

Not long after, the sealing was complete, making everyone heave a sigh of relief.

But they never lowered their guard, understanding their current situation. They continued to protect Shin while he secured the packages.

However, another development occurred right when Shin was about to keep the coffin where the vessel was sealed and the small box containing the pill.

Swoosh!

The expression of Shin and Arthur suddenly turned grim when they sensed a sudden change in their surroundings.

The surrounding energies suddenly fluctuated as if someone powerful was trying to dominate them.

Such an intense reaction from nature could only signify one thing: someone at Domain Realm had appeared.

The expression of everyone suddenly turned solemn, especially Joaquin and Grandmaster Benn, who were still busy dealing with their respective opponents.

Moreover, they knew that it was already too late to disengage and save the kids, given that the opposing party was already right in the midst of everyone.

Aside from this, the two also realized that this person was wrapping the space, seemingly trying to pull everyone toward it.

They seemed to be trying to take the kids somewhere through the spatial portal technique. This made them suspect that it was the contingency plan of the Void Tribe members.

But they also quickly realized it the spatial fluctuation was not caused by a technique but due to a spatial transport device instead.

Shin instantly recognized this as well and understood the predicament of everyone.

The entire team had already gathered in this spot after rushing in this direction to provide cover for him earlier.

With a solemn expression on his face, he decisively took out a talisman and infused his Mental Energy into it.

But instead of an offensive spell that could attack the person who suddenly appeared in the middle of their ranks, this talisman only summoned a powerful gust of wind that blew everyone away.

BOOM!

It was clear that he wanted to prevent everyone from being sucked into the spatial transport by pushing them out of its range.

The others also realized his intention, making their expressions reflect their shock.

”You-...!?”

The others wanted to curse him, but it was already too late since their bodies were instantly sent flying, aside from two people.

Arthur and Leonard seemed to have realized what this brother of theirs was planning, ahead of time, and quickly responded.

Arthur impaled the ground with his spear before clinging tightly to it while Leonard kicked the ground and charged through the powerful gust of wind, fighting against the current with his powerful physique.

Swoosh!

Before anyone else could even respond, the spatial distortion swallowed the three along with that mysterious person, who suddenly appeared in the midst of everyone.
