Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1418 - 454: Jinyang Establishes Cities—Allies’ Planning and Military Expansion Reform (5)

The Great Xia plans to expand its military and reform its system, something many have sensed, especially the commanders leading the troops, who have felt it most strongly.

Over the past year, the number in the Cold Resistance Level of Great Xia has grown too quickly!

Since the end of last year, the establishment of six grand armies—Steel Mane, Golden Sword, Golden Eagle, Zhenwu, Ying Wu, and Zhaolong—indicates this.

The current thousand-man military system is clearly not sufficient.

The designation numbers of the Great Xia army have all evolved from Hunting Teams. The army’s designation numbers are finite, unlike the Hunting Teams, which can endlessly add more. The current 21 numbers are already somewhat bloated, making it difficult for unified grand army coordination, always training on a one-thousand-man scale, and hard to form the combat power that large corps should have.

Expanding the army and reforming the system are imperative!

Since this is determined, how to expand the army, how to reform the system, whether to merge forces, revoke existing designations, and other related issues are what all commanders of Great Xia care most about right now.

Liu Yuan is the second Commander of the Cloud Dragon Army, succeeding Minister Xia Chuan, and is definitely a trusted confidant of Xia Chuan. Who in Great Xia does not know?

His insider information is highly credible.

Seeing everyone’s curiosity aroused, Liu Yuan, with a smile on his face and a shimmer in his eyes, continued, ”The Director mentioned that Great Xia will retain a maximum of only 30 army designations, meaning there are only nine designations left to be finalized by the end of this year.

Once the 30 designations are fixed, all future armies will be just like the other towns on the Southern Slope, uniformly called the Defensive Army.”

Upon hearing this, everyone’s faces immediately filled with relief.

Liu Yuan continued, ”This is part of the reform content, and then there is the expansion.

The Minister said that once the 30 designation numbers are all determined, he and the Director will establish a system for promoting army designation levels, where higher designation levels allow the recruitment of more soldiers; conversely, the lower the designation level, the fewer soldiers can be recruited. Moreover, it is not just about promotion; if battlefield performance is too poor, the designation level can be downgraded.

Forming allies is an experiment in expansion.

The lady has dispatched a total of 10 grand armies, stationed in Beishuo Dongchuan and Jinshan Yinhe Valley. Our 10 grand armies are the test subjects of the first round, and in the coming years, our allies’ performance will be our examination result, and will be included in the promotion evaluation.”

The six people below heard this and immediately became more solemn.

The alliance forces stationed in Dongchuan and Yinhe Valley are all for countering the Feudal Towns.

The feudal towns of Chen Cang and Cai Qiu are nothing like opponents they have faced before. It is foreseeable that if war breaks out in these two places, it will be earth-shattering.

The performance of their respective armies will determine their army designation, the final level confirmation, and thus relate to whether the army can recruit more soldiers.

The level of the army, the number of soldiers, the strength of combat power—these are just surface things. What Hou Quan and others truly care about is the resource tilt behind the camp.

Armies with higher combat power will naturally receive more attention from the camp and thus obtain richer resource allocations, which are the most important.

Immediately, a glimmer of firelight rose in the eyes of Hou Quan and others as they all began to eagerly anticipate, facing the potentially imminent attacks from the Feudal Towns. They felt no fear and even had a subtle eagerness.

”No need to rush, on August 25, people from Bone-Eroding Path will come over, and by then, we can see exactly how much strength Caiqiu’s Xianyang Level possesses!”

Liu Yuan’s eyes flashed slightly, and he too felt a subtle eagerness inside.

Cai Shiqi and the others from Caiqiu are now detained downstairs, waiting for August 25, when people from Caiqiu will arrive.

Cai Shiqing can be killed, but Cai Shiqi, the Young Prince, definitely cannot be killed.

Waiting for August 25 for Caiqiu people to come, packing this Young Prince and others to send them away will serve as the first goodwill gesture from the Nine Towns Alliance to Caiqiu.

Let’s see if the other side will respond!

”Unknowingly, it has been over a year since the Lord left, I wonder how things are now!”
