Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1415 - 454: Jinyang’s City Planning, Allied Forces’ Expansion and Military Reform (Part 2)

The senior Han Qi, who stayed in Jinyang for two months, heard Commander Liu’s address and quickly asked his father for confirmation. Seeing his father’s nod, his expression slightly trembled.

The second eldest, Han Fu, also stationed in Jinyang, learned it was indeed Liu Yuan, and couldn’t help but express excitement: ”The general commander of Jinyang’s city construction this time is Commander Liu, since he assured our father, it must be true...”

He paused, turned his head to look at the village behind him, and continued: ”After Jinyang’s expansion, the total area will be 150 square kilometers, our village covers about 15 square kilometers, which means one-tenth of the entire city, which will belong to our entire village of over sixty thousand people in the future!”

The mere words ’development’ offered a shock, but not as impactful as specific data. Han Fu’s description of 15 square kilometers, one-tenth of the city’s area, instantly resonated with the Han family’s entire clan, their faces full of excitement.

”Yinhe Valley alone has at least forty thousand people, which basically equals Jinyang City’s final total population. Such a giant city, with our Han family occupying one-tenth of the land, no matter what business we venture into, we could easily prosper, it’s wonderful, it’s wonderful, haha...”

Han Peng spoke with increasing excitement.

This year he was already 83 years old, possessing only 18-maned strength, with no hope of advancing to Xianyang Level. With a bit of luck, he might only live for another decade or so.

For someone like him, who was half buried already, to leave such a massive fortune for his descendants was definitely a dream that would awaken one with laughter.

Of course, whether the family could last in the Ice Abyss for long, wealth was merely a means, the most crucial factor was whether someone would succeed him.

Thinking of this, he turned to gaze at his grandson Han Li, his expression even more gleeful.

Grandson Han Li, not yet 25 this year, already boasts a strength of 17-maned, far surpassing the Han Family’s second generation who average around 10-maned, and is even close to surpassing his grandfather. Furthermore, he achieved 79th place in the youth group at this year’s Nine Towns Martial Arts Competition, rising 20 places compared to last year’s ranking.

Such an exceptional grandson far exceeds the realm of having a successor, even surpassing the master. Han Li’s future potential is much greater than his grandfather’s and the Han clan’s second generation.

Because of this, Han Peng already foresaw that when his grandson Han Li grows up smoothly and takes over as Family Head, the Han family would surely resonate throughout the Southern Slope Territory, joining the ranks of the prestigious families in Great Xia.

”Grandpa, we have matters to attend to, can’t delay for too long.”

Han Peng’s daydreaming was interrupted by a sentence from his grandson Han Li. He quickly realized, nodded, and turned to everyone: ”Alright, since we’re all back, let’s head to the village to help out. I still need to take Li’er to pay a visit to Commander Liu at the camp, Qi’er, lead the way, everyone else can disperse!”

They all just returned from Xia City, upon arrival Han Qi informed them that Liu Yuan summoned them. Indeed, they had been delayed for quite some time at the North City Wall.

Jinyang’s expansion was so vast that it almost reshaped the surrounding village terrain entirely, and the grandfather and grandson duo couldn’t even recognize the roads fully, nor did they know where the camp was set, so Han Qi had to take them to find it.

Han Qi, stationed in Jinyang, was quite familiar with the place. He led the duo north of the village, introducing along the way:

”The allies arrived by the end of June, a total of 15,000 people. Thanks to their help throughout July, the city construction efficiency increased significantly. But ten days ago they were transferred, now stationed in a temporary camp beside the Bone-Eroding Path...”

In fact, there was no need for Han Qi to explain, as Han Peng and Han Li were already informed about the allies situation in Xia City. However, since Han Qi had direct contact with the allies, the duo listened with no harm, not interrupting.

After the alliance meeting at Chui Mountain, the Nine Towns jointly dispatched personnel to form an alliance army totaling 30,000, abbreviated as the Nine Towns Alliance Army.

The alliance army was divided into one to six camps, each camp had 5000 people, each camp appointed a commander and two vice commanders responsible for daily troop management and vigilance. The main vigilance target was naturally the two vassal towns and all other Outer Domain arrivals.

Camps one to three stationed at Jinshan Town Yinhe Valley, here;

Camps four to six stationed in Beishuo Town’s Dongchuan jurisdiction.

”Commander Liu Yuan of Camp One, Vice Commanders Hou Quan, Yuwen Yong; Commander Huang Lin of Camp Two in Beishuo, Vice Commanders Shangguan Yan of Jinshan, Cao Tiansheng of Yangqu; Commander Shangguan Ning of Camp Three in Jinshan, Vice Commanders Ye Yiping of Wuchuan, Long Wenyan of Dragon Valley.”

Upon hearing his uncle name the commanders and vice commanders of the three camps, Han Li raised an eyebrow with curiosity and said, ”Commander Liu Yuan of Camp One and all vice commanders are from Great Xia, but Camp Two and Three mix the towns?”

By deliberately stating the hometowns of Commanders and Vice Commanders in Camps Two and Three, it was apparent Han Qi did so intentionally. Seeing curiosity on his father Han Peng’s face, he smiled and said: ”To put it bluntly, it’s because Great Xia’s strength is truly powerful...”

Before setting up a fixed alliance army, Great Xia made it clear that regardless of whether the towns provided formal soldiers, they must at least possess Cold Resistance Level cultivation.

The Nine Towns altogether provided 30,000 people, roughly meaning each town should provide at least over 3,000 with Cold Resistance Level.

To say the least, pulling out over 3,000 with Cold Resistance Level, even for the stronger Northern Three Towns, would not be easy, let alone Jiangxia and Muyin, whose vitality had not yet recovered, along with Chui Mountain, which recently experienced a mutiny. These three towns currently have at most about 4,000 with Cold Resistance Level, to extract eight or nine-tenths for forming an alliance, these towns won’t be able to develop further.
