Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 661: Chapter 276: Integration of Soldiers and Hunters, Military System, and Roll Call Hunt (Part 2)

Knowing Xia Hong still had more to say, everyone showed no reaction and just waited patiently for him to continue.

”Of course, the military tasks are heavier, so the benefits are naturally better. Now, I will focus on discussing the benefits after joining the army...”

The upcoming words of Xia Hong were what everyone was most interested in.

”Firstly, in the future, the army only needs to submit half of the hunting gains, and the rest can be distributed freely; secondly, the weapons, armor, and healing pills used by the army are provided by the Camp Supply Department and do not need to be covered personally; finally, every soldier receives a fixed reward of 1000 Contribution Value, 3 Blood Essence Pills, and 50 pounds of Beast Blood each month.”

After stating these three benefits, the breathing of everyone below quickened a bit.

A set of Hundred Forged Armor currently costs 3500 points at the Camp Supply Department;

Hundred Forged Weapons are a bit cheaper at 2000 points;

The Blood Sore Pill is an upgraded version of the Golden Sore Powder and can be considered a Cold Resistance Level healing pill, a holy item for the Earth-digging Realm, and it’s currently priced at 200 points per piece at the Camp Supply Department;

The Blood Essence Pill is a cultivation elixir used at the Earth-digging Realm Limit, priced at 700 points each;

Beast Blood is 20 points of Contribution Value per pound, so 50 pounds is 1000 points.

Not to mention the consumables like armor, weapons, and healing pills, the fixed monthly reward itself is worth 4100 points in total.

As long as you become a member of the Cloud Dragon Army, you get this many contribution points every month!

”Don’t get excited, I’m not finished yet...”

Seeing the excitement on everyone’s face, Xia Hong continued with a smile: ”After every battle, rewards will be given based on individual battlefield performance, but of course, the exact Contribution Value will depend on the actual circumstances of the war.”

Besides that fixed reward, there will also be merit-based rewards according to battlefield performance!

Upon hearing this, nearly 90% of those present at the Cold Resistance Level felt their hearts start pounding.

The war in Longyou in April was one that everyone present at the Cold Resistance Level, except for Xu Ning, Yue Feng, and Zhu Ling, participated in personally, even the four new members including Chen Yingyuan.

Having experienced a war, they were well aware of how much Contribution Value could be earned.

”What I’ve mentioned is just the treatment for ordinary soldiers in the army. As for the army’s specific system, Xia Chuan, you should explain it to everyone!”

Upon hearing this, Xia Chuan perked up, nodded, and stood up.

He was determined about the task of building the army. Ever since Xia Hong told him about this, he had already thought about it in advance with Wushuang, and after the end of last night’s event, he reported it to Xia Hong.

Now, with Xia Hong asking him to speak, it was obviously an agreement to his opinion, allowing him to present his ideas for everyone to consider.

”According to the leader’s intent, we should first develop the Hunting Team, and at least wait until the Hunting Team advances to the Advanced level before forming an army. But given the current special situation, we can only draft people from all Hunting Teams to first establish the Cloud Dragon Army and then consider other matters.

Since it’s based on the Hunting Team, the military system naturally has to revolve around it.

I propose that the army consist of twenty people per team, with one captain; five teams make up one camp, with one Commander; including nine camps and an elite scout camp, a full army is formed with one Commander. According to my initial idea, all Commanders should be at the Cold Resistance Level, but due to the current camp strength, we must settle for less. Only the scout camp Commander requires Cold Resistance Level cultivation; other army positions rely solely on strength competition.”

This proposal from Xia Chuan was clearly well thought out.

The smallest unit in the army is a team, which consists of 20 people, matching the number regulation of the Low-level Hunting Team;

According to the hunting team promotion rules set by Yuwen Dao, an Advanced Hunting Team consists of 100 people, which corresponds to a camp-level unit.

In a precarious environment like Ice Abyss, on the real battlefield, a scout who is familiar with the terrain or excels at detecting the environment is often the key to victory. The configuration of nine combat camps plus one elite scout camp is undoubtedly reasonable.

That the scout camp Commander must possess Cold Resistance Level cultivation is also a very reasonable requirement, as you can’t expect scouts, who only venture out at night, to probe enemy positions and environments.

”Very reasonable, I agree with the Minister’s proposal!”

”I agree as well. This military system suits our previous battle habits in the Hunting Team, and forming an army won’t affect combat effectiveness.”

”I agree.”

”Approve!”

......

Clap!

Xia Hong stood up from his chair and laughed, ”Alright, the matter of army building ends here. What I’ve said is merely to give you an initial impression. The subsequent details will be discussed by Xia Chuan and the Six Department Directors jointly. Once a draft is made, I’ll review it. From tonight, following the announcement of the military system, personnel can be drawn from the Hunting Department for the Cloud Dragon Army.”

”As commanded!”

Xia Chuan and the Six Department Directors all bowed in salute.

”Additionally, there is another matter. On the ninth day of last month, I mentioned a month’s term for you eight to compete for the defense positions at the Wushuang, Hanqiong, and Beehive posts. Today is already the fourth day of this month, so only five days remain. Use your time wisely. In five days, a decision must be made on who will take over the defense in Longyou.”

The eight competing for three defense positions last month were Meng Yi, Zhu Ling, Lin Kai, Lu Yang, Huang Yong, Hong Gang, Chen Yingyuan, and Peng Bo.

At that time, Xia Hong stated that those who gained the highest Contribution Value would be appointed as Defense Envoys at these three positions.

Only five days remain, and from the reactions of the eight, you could already see some signs.
