I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 23: Edits to Previous Chapters

In the main text, I used his physique and data in La Liga, suggesting that playing as a main defender in a lower-tier team should be no problem, being an all-round midfielder is sufficient, but playing as a pivot striker is a bit lacking, to showcase the player’s genius and monstrous traits.

However, due to the lack of detailed data comparison, it might not have been very apparent to the readers. On the suggestion from reader Guo Nian Zhuan You, I realized the issue, as the knowledge about the data setting was only on my outline. So I humbly accepted the suggestion and inserted the content into Chapter 6.

Chapter 6’s panel has been revised, and for the readers who have already read this Chapter, I have extracted the modified parts here for easy browsing.

Turning over this page, what follows are the player’s personal attributes. Over the years with the system, Chen Zhong has also come to understand some divisions of the data.

A comprehensive ability of 40 allows one to play in some lower-level leagues, basically reaching the ceiling that ordinary people can achieve. Simply put, it’s stepping into the professional threshold.

A comprehensive ability of around 55 allows a chance to enter some lower-tier teams in the Eredivisie, which is also the bottleneck period for most youth training.

And a comprehensive ability of 60 is the minimum standard for major clubs’ youth training. Players who do not meet this standard after various selection levels are essentially eliminated, with very few below 60.

And a capability value exceeding 65 is enough to attract the attention of youth training, and one can even become a regular player in a Premier League relegation team. A comprehensive ability value of 70, with multiple individual abilities exceeding 80, would be viewed as a genius player, or a player with specialties in certain aspects.

Chen Zhong’s comprehensive score is as high as 74, and in certain specific positions, the position score will be higher.

PS: This data references FM, FC game data, where approximately 45 can already play in the Chinese Super League, and when Messi first debuted, his silver card data was approximately 72. Counting only gold, silver, and bronze cards, a player with a comprehensive ability of 91 is essentially a ceiling-level player.

I also selected some Premier League teams to look at their internal player ratings, with the highest in the team around 84, and the lower ones hovering around 70.

Additionally, I will not disclose too much data in the text, but having written it, I’ll still show you the current ability values of Real Madrid’s players!

Referencing FIFA08 player data, Pepe 83, Cannavaro 86, Ramos 86, Casillas 89, Van Nistelrooy 85, Raul 80, Guti 84...

Now competing with Chen Zhong for the two central defender positions, Torres’s ability value is 73, Metzelder’s ability value is 78, the lowest first-team data is 69, and a total of 10 people are below 80.

...

I will avoid the same mistakes in future writings, and thank reader Guo Nian Zhuan You again.
